Training Camp Opens; Season 17 For JoeBucsFan.com

July 24th, 2024

Hard to believe Joe has grinded away on these pages for nearly 6,000 consecutive days.

Get a life, Joe!

Training camp kicks off this morning at One Buc Palace and it will mark the start of Season 17 of JoeBucsFan.com, though there is no offseason on these pages, as regular readers know.

It’s also the start of Season 8 for legendary columnist/reporter/podcaster Ira Kaufman at JoeBucsFan.com world headquarters. When Kaufman started covering the NFL for United Press International in the late 1970s, he certainly never imagined that was in his future.

Joe is honored to attend camp with the goal of serving Bucs fans for another season. It’s fan patronage that has made JoeBucsFan.com the pack leader (by a mile) when it comes to Buccaneers media.

Thank you. And Go Bucs!

Wow, now if we could see this Bowles on the sideline, I think a lot of us would be quite pleased. I’ve heard plenty of times, from Joe that he’s a different person away from the media. I’m hoping this is somewhat it. I know he can be boisterous and laugh, I enjoyed this, tho.

  5. heyjude Says:

Thank you, Joe. Cannot wait to hear about training camp.

I really respect Coach Bowles. That video of him addressing the team was awesome. He gets his point across by not screaming, but in a more even and decisive tone. Bowles said it like it is. Continuity, smart decisions, toughness, … It was great to see the team’s faces too. Go Bucs!!

I’ve really been looking forward to your camp reports, Joe. I always save those accounts for last on my daily reads. You even catch the subtle things like the sound of that rookie Klein whacking the sleds.

I agree with others who posted above. That was a pretty impressive speech from Bowles. He addressed each position group and conveyed collectively what the team needs to do to reach the Super Bowl. Very motivational!

Yes, thank you, Joe. I’m. So glad I stumbled on this site. It’s a daily visit now.

  16. JD Still Says:

That speech was out of character for “laid back” Bowles, it sounds like someone from above is not satisfied with.500 seasons and issued an “ or else” ultimatum to Bowles and Bowles was just letting the ultimatums roll downhill to try to light some fires.

  17. BucsFan55 Says:

good speech, pretty hype. please use that energy to learn how to use timeouts and better clock management.
