An excellent tribute to Monte Kiffin, as well as a nice trip down memory lane. Thank you, so good to hear. Not as long as most fans posting on Joe’s blog. Moved here around 1990, Vinny as QB. Bucs immediately became my team after growing up in NY with the Bills being my family’s team.

Bucs with Monte – Yes, iconic. Yes, tacklers, and so much more.

I had to laugh about the phone call to Gruden. True, no one picks up the phone anymore. One reason is because if you don’t have the caller in your short list of contacts, we all screen our calls in case it’s spam, robocalls. Says so much that he did return the call. A lot of respect there.

Lot of love for Monte, as a fan I always wondered if he was more creative and had the ability to disguise coverages just how much more dominant this defense would’ve been…

Great motivator and had the ability to hold talented players accountable but it’s always hard for me to consider him a HOF type of assistant when outside of here he had virtually no success as a Defensive Coordinator
