Tom Brady Omits Bucs Again

June 19th, 2024

“Blaine, I bet I can pull this off another six months.”

Last week, Joe wrote about the likelihood of Tom Brady having something (a lot?) to do with the Bucs getting disrespected nationally.

And now comes Brady’s interview today.

The Goat held a quality football-insightful TV sitdown for 25 minutes with Colin Cowherd. Now operating under a FOX Sports contract, Brady is ramping up for his first season calling live games as an analyst.

Somehow, Brady again managed to get through an entire interview without mentioning the Bucs or a current or former Buccaneer other than Rob Gronkowski. But this time was different. Brady was asked a direct question about arriving in Tampa and transitioning to the Bucs’ veteran offensive line, and he still pulled off no mention of the Bucs or Tampa Bay in his reply.

Then Brady was asked a question about No. 1 receivers versus inside/No. 2 receivers and didn’t say the words “Evans” or “Godwin.”

There were other opportunties for Brady in the interview to tie something to Bucs but he wouldn’t go there.

When does it end, Tom?

Joe knows Brady is an extraordinarily calculating guy. There’s no way this pattern is an accident.

  1. Jim W Says:

A grudge because the Glazers and Licht held him to his contract, rather than letting him go to Miami?

    Love the title….over him.

  2. Walter Says:

Thanks for the help in winning that 1 Super Bowl, glad you’re gone though Tom. Watching you be mediocre during your final season was painful. Oh, also, F you for entertaining Miami’s calls while still under contract with the Bucs. Real “leadership” there.

  3. Allen Lofton Says:

TB is a guy with a Huge ego. He needs to show some gratitude.

It wasn’t going to happen in New England with Billy B, a real egotistical A$$ HOLE who unceremoniously dumped Brady.

TB comes off as better than thou at times. Baker needs to show TB and the rest of the NFL, that he can lead the Bucs to the promise land. He’s got the talent and the mental resolve to do it.

  4. Irishmist Says:

He used us, we used him, neither one cared. We were getting our share.

  5. westernbuc Says:

There were times where he’d force the ball to Gronk and I wondered why he wouldn’t do the same to Evans, the best receiver he’s had besides Randy Moss. Strange

  6. WilieG Says:

He has a copy of the Bucs new playbook and is on standby in case Mayfiled gets hurt after October. He’s not mentioning the Bucs so it will look on the up and up when he rejoins the team and has instant mastery of the offense.

  7. Derek Says:

Cowherd directly mentioned Wirfs and Brady just went on to babble about the offensive line coach in New England. Unbelievable

  8. anyhony Says:

We’re the fat chick he went home with at 2AM and wont tell his friends about.

  9. Big Red Says:

    Brady’s the GOAT.

  10. Oviedo Jim Says:

F him and the horse he rode in on.

  11. ModHairKen Says:

Who cares if he mentions the Bucs? Or not. Anyone who thought he was a Buccaneer on more than a temporary basis was naive. And, yeah, he pulled some shady stuff with trying to go to the Dolphins. But, he delivered here. Set a tone. Upped the profile. And won a second SB for Tampa Town.

Accept him for what he isn’t.

  12. Mexican Buc Says:

Everything about him is business. If he’s not winning something, he doesn’t care. beside, there is a grudge with the bucs. The GOAT of football, I´m not sure about the human being. Let´s stop putting so much attention on him. he´s the past.

  13. BucEmUp Says:

Welp ….if Brady has something against the organization you can bet the refs will all season. He always had a way of getting HIS way on the field. Wouldn’t surprise me to see the entire league turn against us. It’s a business with a lot of dirty b.s behind the scenes. This will be interesting

  14. Buchen61 Says:

Brady was a hired gun…after his 2nd season he was ready to bail but couldn’t and his 3rd season he was a shell of his former self…it was 1.2 throw it away. We are in a much better place today with a team that wants to be together…Go bucs !!!

  15. Lakeland Steve Says:

We got a Super Bowl… Brady got his revenge on the Patriots/Belichek. That’s all he wanted, that’s all we wanted. I could care if he mentions us. If our team plays well enough and can get to a Super Bowl he will have to mention the Bucs. So, let’s make him say, Tampa Bay!

  16. Bkyrdbob Says:

It is odd to avoid talking about a guy like Evans, but it was a win win situation. Tom was like a hot chick getting drunk and getting a much needed “itch scratching” with someone that normally wouldnt have a chance. We both were satisfied and got what we wanted and needed, but it was never going to last long term. Remember, she is single and cant find someone long term for a reason.

  17. Greg Says:

wtf ever. Brady needed someone to care. We wanted to win. Mission accomplished.

Baker better be up to the next season. I think he probably is.

  18. Greg Says:

Brady made up with Belichick during his roast and ring of honor ceremony which stirred up emotions/memories. He’s back to the love affair with The Pats/Belichick because of the reunion. The Bucs are in Brady’s rear view. Adios thanks for the title, Brady.

  19. Oneilbuc Says:

I told all y’all that Brady is a Patriot and he didn’t care that much about the bucs. We were the only team that wanted him after he left the Patriots but I was called a Brady hater. That’s why I rather for the bucs to draft their own quarterback. I saw how y’all were bashing BB and how the Patriots was wrong by the way they let him go remember? Brady showed us his last year how he really felt about the bucs but y’all gave him a pass saying he earned the right to do what he wants to do to the bucs !! I don’t think he deserves to be in the bucs ring of honor !! It’s time for this organization and fan base to have some pride for the team.

  20. Oneilbuc Says:

Lol 😂😂 I told y’all he was never going to be a buc and he don’t deserve to be in the ring of honor!!

  21. Jeffrey Becker Says:

i dunno, maybe it was intentional, but he’s savvy, knows from experience saying less about people works out better for him in the long run

  22. Jack Burton Mercer Says:

    What a weird dude.

  23. Oneilbuc Says:

That’s why I rather to draft our own quarterback and develop him you have to keep trying until you do. And to think we pass up on Josh Allen and Lamar Jackson for a guy who needed a all star team around him. I knew Brady was going to do this because he’s a Patriot not a buc!!

  24. Daniel Hammond Says:

The job he is doing now he cannot be rooting for any team or player he can say Gronkowski because guess what he doesn’t play in the NFL anymore what the f*** making something out of nothing again

  25. Oneilbuc Says:

Brady used us and he got what he wanted and that’s to get all the credit for the bucs super bowl in 2020 . I was trying to give credit to the team and was called a hater for doing that . When I brought up the NFC Championship game against green bay our defense won that game because he threw 3 picks and the game came down to the defense and they stepped up.

  26. Oneilbuc Says:

That’s why all these guys that’s here now only because of Baker needs to kick rocks!!

  27. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

“One thing I’d learned over the years: never to waste time moaning about what couldn’t be helped. If a body can do something, fine – he should do it. If he can’t, then there’s no use fussing about it until he can do something.”

    – Louis L’Amour

  28. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    Oneilbuc Says
    “Brady used us”

    He didn’t use us.

We would not have won without him. He gifted us a second ring.

  29. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

And it takes a season, not a single game.

  30. geno711 Says:

Oneilbuc. You are not remembering correctly.

You actually said that Brady would be bad.
That he was a noodle arm QB.
That he would not win here.

Trying to rewrite what you said back then will not work.

You also said that Jameis would be good away from Tampa.
And that BA was bad for the Bucs.

We won the Superbowl and have won three straight divisions since the Super Bowl.

You can’t change your quotes although I am sure that you like to remember them in some other context.

No one has been as bad at prognosticating as you.

  31. Tampa Bay-ker Says:

We don’t need him in the Ring of Honor – seriously. He had one good season here. Screw Tom Brady.

  32. unbelievable Says:

Would be cool if you posted what he did actually say when asked those questions… or gave us a link to it…

  33. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

He deserves the ring of honor just for the superbowl. Period.

I don’t see why anyone would disagree. I, for one, am Grateful he came here.

  34. Bojim Says:

Never saw him as a Buc. But sure do appreciate him giving us a few years.

  35. unbelievable Says:

    Same here Bonzai.

Ok I found the interview. He was asked about the Bucs but it was also a question about o-lines in general, so I didn’t take it as a slight that he spoke more about the Pats and their o-line coach.

That said, I do think there is some bitterness from how his last season went, especially with how poor the o-line was. And this was kind of highlighted by something he said when speaking about Dante Scarnecchia – saying part of what made him such a great coach was that he made sure every lineman down to the practice squad was coached up to the same level of expectations. Clearly, he didn’t feel that was the case with the Bucs.

The other question about receivers, I don’t think there was any Bucs hate or snubbing in his answer. The question was about feeding diva #1 receivers. Evans and Godwin are not divas. I suppose he could have mentioned Godwin when listing Gronk and Edleman, but that’s really over analyzing IMO.

  36. Dave Pear Says:

@Irishmist – love the Bob Seger quote (paraphrased for the purpose).

Agreed. Thought maybe Brady would get the stick out of his azz after dumping the Geezahag (or was it Trevor Lawrence) but alas, he’s being more of a d-bag every day.

  37. Dave Pear Says:

And right on cue, like moths to the flame, here comes Osqueeltard giggling like a 5th grader who saw her first boy naked. Too bad the moths are more coherent.

Try the tongue in the light socket, Osqueel. Please.

  38. Bucben61 Says:

Onelilbuc…first time I read you I thought this guy might be an idiot but after reading more of what you write I know you are an idiot.

  39. Dave Pear Says:

Bucben61 – you are insulting idiots.

  40. Billy Says:

Thanks for the Super Bowl Tom, I hope the door didn’t hit you in the ass on the way out.

  41. Oneilbuc Says:

Brady has shown y’all how he felt about the bucs and he don’t deserve to be in the ring of honor because how he did the bucs his last year. But go ahead that’s why I say this is the weakest fan base in all of sports.

  42. Oneilbuc Says:

Geno. And what happened once AB and Gronk left he looked just like he did his last year in New England his stats is the same in 2019 and 2022 and the difference between those years was no AB or Gronk.

  43. D Cone Says:

Brady’s most important comment was that it took time to earn the trust to change the play at the line of scrimmage.

Last season Mayfield’s decision making was structured and it worked for him.
If Coen turns over the keys to Mayfield to change to a play of his choice at the line of scrimmage it could become a dumpster fire fast.

  44. Buc4evr Says:

Don’t care if he likes the Bucs or not, he got another ring here, we got a SB. Thanks Tom, now time to move on, he isn’t in the equation anymore. Besides he has bigger issues with his FTX lawsuit and trying to be a broadcaster. Bye Tom.

  45. Oneilbuc Says:

I’ve been a bucs fan for 30 years and I’ve never seen anything like this before. I mean the man said pretty much screw us !! He haven’t been to one bucs game yet. He didn’t even come to the playoffs games or even mention the bucs since he left. And yet you guys still kissing his behind? You know what I think I’m more of a fan of the bucs than the some of the people on here. And this is why the national meadi don’t respect the bucs. The organization has shown that their weak and the fan base has shown their weak. So why should anyone respect the bucs? Or maybe it’s just the fans on here!!

  46. Oneilbuc Says:

Buc61 . Yeah I know one thing I care about the bucs more than you ain’t no way in the world I would want to go to war with a weak fan like you and some of the others.

  47. stpetebucfan Says:

    @IRISH MIST

First off I’m Irish so I love the name! Secondly I agree wholeheartedly with Dave Pear! Great musical reference. I love to use them as well but I generally ID the tune and artist. Great that you didn’t! Made at least me and Dave Pear revisit some great memories.

I was a huge Bob Seger fan and Night Moves may have been his best song out of the many hits. It was a very HONEST song and you are correct it fits the Brady/Bucs perfectly!!!

“He used us, we used him, neither one cared. We were getting our share.”

Yeah so that’s sorta how I remember Brady…although Linda who got my virginity has a far better address on memory lane! LOL After all “we” the Bucs had ALREADY WON A SB before Brady ever got here!!!

  48. Bubby Says:

Brady was only under contract in year 3 because he took a team friendly deal after year 1. He either miscalculated that the Bucs would hold him to the 3rd year or felt he was lied to. He may have won an 8th Super Bowl in Miami that year. I’m sure he believes as much.

  49. Atlbuc28 Says:

I’ve said this before. In 2020 the only Brady fans were Patriots fans. By the end of last year in our section 311 There were Baker Jerseys all over and fans talking about how it felt like it was 2002 again! We rocked that stadium back then!. Baker brings the juice as has been said.. IMHO. .

  50. Orange Republic Says:

I am very interested in learning what the deal was with Brady and his dislike of the Bucs organization. I think we’ll find out about the time he ends his broadcast career. Probably something petty like not letting him out of his final year so he could play with 49ers after Dolphins scheme imploded…maybe he thinks someone in Bucs had more of a hand in the Dolphins deal blowing up than just Brian Flores….someone had to wise up Flores after all. It’s not like they fired him and told him their grand plans.

  51. Orange Republic Says:

I wouldn’t be surprised if all the angst was based on something small and stupid like AB and BA. Let’s say AB came to the Bucs with the understanding BA wouldn’t get on him like he did in Pittsburgh. BA picks a fight with AB violating this understanding and AB goes full AB storming off the field. Tommy thinks they would have won a 2nd Super Bowl with AB and takes the opportunity to get BA fired as a condition for coming back…..Gisselle asks “you’re just coming back so you can get the coach fired?” I’m out. Some fan fiction.

  52. Ed McSherry Says:

When Brady was a Buccaneer, the criticism was that he never mentions the Patriots.

Now, when he just had a huge induction into the team Hall of Fame event with 60,000 fans at Gillette Stadium last week, what does Joe expect (Joe didn’t mention this event of course)?

It’d be a little “cringy” for him (Brady) to start waxing paise of another team under the circumstances. Reporters (like Joe) “knew better,” and of course were baiting the GOAT. Really don’t think you read what was here??–Joe

It wouldn’t be out of the question if Kraft made Brady to promise not to mention the Buccaneers. In fact, I believe Brady was under some serious, personal decision-making in deciding which team (the Buccaneers or Patriots) to retire with. That’s great respect he’s demonstrated for the Buccaneers organization and for the fans.

Unlike some bloggers who think nothing of unfairly attacking Tom Brady Brady over exaggerated trifles, Brady himself has proven his own integrity and sincerity with his appreciation of those with whom he’s involved; he’s just plain, a good guy, and has been throughout his career.

There is absolutely no reason to think that Tom Brady isn’t in any way still friends with Mike, Chris and other players on the Buccaneers.

    Uncool, Joe. Very very uncool.

    .

  53. IrishTony Says:

I honestly believe that if we had a serviceable qb from like 2018-19 we would have been a perennial playoff team. Brady was a part of the 2020 sb but the defense finally had a chance to shine without a turnover freak at the helm.

  54. Ed McSherry Says:

Part of my response may have been in aggregate of others who posted, but who provoked the “pile-on?”

  55. ‘79 Defense Says:

From a podcast last December that Brady was on with Gronkowski. Doesn’t sound like he has a problem with the Bucs to me:

“And I think to be accepted by that organization really meant the world to me, too. Obviously I was accepted so much by the Patriots fans and the team and the organization and then when I left there to go to another place and see the way that we were welcome was awesome. And the only thing I wanted to do was give back to them. And I thought we rewarded that organization with a championship through a lot of hard work by our teammates. And we celebrated like no other. That boat parade will go down in history as one of the great parades of all time.”

  56. siant141 Says:

Onelilbuc How can anyone take you.serious when you don’t know the difference between their and they’re.

  57. Football fan Says:

It’s actually crazy how much Tom Brady hate I see in these comments from Buccaneers fans. Tom Brady came to your team in 2020 and won you a Superbowl for the first time in almost 2 decades. The following 2 years he led you to the playoffs. 3 playoff appearances in a row, a SB win, and 2 division titles and suddenly he’s retired and had a ceremony with the Patriots recently and it’s “he didn’t mention us in an interview, he hates us, F HIM!!” like come on people! Be grateful and happy for him and stop the hate.

  58. D-Rome Says:

No former Bucs teammates at his roast, no mention of the Bucs despite the numerous opportunities. That last season he was disconnected. Something is up.

  59. Citrus County Says:

TB12’s behavior only adds substance to my theory of sabotage. There is clearly a sign of major dysfunction and hard feelings between TB, BA, and the organization. TB didn’t get his way and BA got moved out. Very strange and unexplainable things happened with the offense. I wish someone would find Leftwich and interview him, but he may be under a NDA. It is all becoming more in focus to me.

I say good riddance to all of them. My belief is that this team is on the threshold of something good.

  60. Joe Says:

No former Bucs teammates at his roast

There were. They just didn’t speak (Lavonte David, Donovan Smith and … Breshad Perriman!).

  61. Let ‘em bake Says:

She was a box girl, I was a clerk… two months of after work bliss, from 10 til midnight. Oh Kathleen, I’ll never forget… Bobby goldsboro’s “ summer” comes to mind..oh ya, baker for mvp😊

  62. Glass Half Full Guy Says:

Bunch of crybabies ’round here. Pitiful.

  63. lambchopp Says:

Whatever he’s doing, at least it doesn’t affect Gronk from being involved with the Bucs.

Honestly, the whole BA walking out on the team to leave us with Bowles without a proper offseason even for Bowles was totally against what Brady would have liked: consistency.

So, we screwed him over as much as he almost screwed us over.

  64. Matt_PcAfee Says:

If y’all stop responding to thee articles we won’t have to read them. Simple as that

  65. Dewey Selmons left cleat Says:

This is football. How bout we stop gossiping like real housewives?

  66. Bud coit Says:

We should give the kicker #12 just to show him some love lol

  67. OR Buc Says:

Tough deal. One of my favorite players, but man practice what you preach. He always seems to speak about the “team” and how important “relationships and shared experiences” are, but failure to acknowledge the Bucs seems to discount those ideas. It’s a bummer, but those were great times/memories nonetheless.

  68. 1sparkybuc Says:

Brady is pissed that the Bucs didn’t crash and burn without him. I was happy that Brady came here, but I was happier when he was gone. He wasn’t focused on football in 2022, and it was obvious. We all know all we need to know about him. He’s not on the team anymore. It’s time to move on. Tell us something that we don’t know about the people that have an interest in the team now. Brady doesn’t.

  69. Alanbucsfan Says:

I’ll always remember Brady organizing practices at a local HS while the national media was critical because of the psy-op BS at the time , then he led the team to that glorious playoff run and SB -and they probably would have won 2 straight if AB hadn’t gone psychotic on the Bucs.
Willie Mays, RIP, played in World Series with the Mets, but everyone remembers him as a NY/SF Giant.
Brady will always be remembered as a Patriot and that’s how it should be.

  70. Dave Pear Says:

Someone needs to help Osqueeltard find one coherent brain cell so she could get on Brownsfan.org

    Amazing, unsurpassed tardation.

  71. UKBuccaneer Says:

He got a good pay-day, we the Bucs got a ring. Great transaction, both sides leave happy.

No beef from me. Thanks, Tom.

  72. MadMax Says:

I dont see the issue….he knows things were nuts with leftwich, o line was nuts, his personal life with horse face was nuts…you could tell, he just gave up….and as i watched it, i kind of didnt blame him.

  73. heyjude Says:

I respected Brady long before he was a Buc. He earned every single one of those SB rings. Of course he will have a strong relationship with the Patriots. They recruited him and that was his home for many, many years. It may be strange with the entire Kraft affection, but I don’t fault Brady’s football abilities for that. Didn’t like his roast either, but he is still the goat.

Every other team’s fans hated him, while many of us thought how lucky we would be if he was our QB, and then he was. Every single person I know that didn’t like him for years suddenly loved him. And then we got Gronk, because of Brady. A twofer! Another respected and awesome tight end. What was not to love! We got a SB and so much more from it. Loved their Tommy and Gronk in beach chair videos. Good memories.

Doubt that Brady is deliberately dissing Tampa, but just isn’t talking about the Bucs because maybe he knows what Gronk is working on and doesn’t want to get into that for various reasons. We could get a nice surprise before the season begins. It also would be great to have Brady in the booth for a few of our games. He and Gronk gave us a lot to remember for years. I am happy for that.

  74. UGotRobbed Says:

Appreciate him helping us another championship! But as far as what he says or doesn’t say about us…who cares! He’s yesterday’s news! Bucs just need to go out and kick ass this season and earn the respect!

  75. adam from ny Says:

    what if:

tom really doesn’t want his name hanging at ray jay in the ring of honor…

what if he wants to forget his time here 100% and only act as if he was a patriot – now that he accomplished the one up move on belichik while with the bucs

  76. Brandon Says:

He finally admitted he was the reason the offense sucked in 2022 when he talked about all of the input and time he put into gameplanning wherever and whomever the coordinator was.

  77. Cobraboy Says:

I totally appreciate what Tom Brady brought to and did for this team.

But the reality is he was a two-year rental. That’s it. He wanted to be part of the Fins, but that dealio got queered.

So, two years in Pewter was the second choice.

Yeah, I’m disappointed that Brady, supposedly a man of high character, tries to ghost those two years.

But it is what it is.

  78. George Says:

What a bunch of losers the Tampa fans are. If it wasn’t for Brady your sorry axx team would have no SB’s ?Be thankful he came here , played and won a SB.

  79. D-Rok Says:

Thank you for your leadership and a shiny new trophy, Tom.

That boat parade though, that is something I’ll remember for decades.

Of COURSE his “allegiance” is to the Patriots. Who in their right mind thinks it shouldn’t be? Matt Ryan played 14 years for Falcons, and 1 for Indy. Which team do you think Ryan considers his team?

Brady was a few year rental and brought a lot of positive changes. The real test for me, is when / if he does broadcast a Bucs game, is he fair and partial about the Bucs in his comments?

  80. Bucfan2 Says:

@George. Go to your fan page with that mess. We won a SB in 2002 without Brady. So your comment is wrong and dumb. Brady had to bring in his guys to win the SB here. He sucked his first year here and in 2022. I’m glad he’s gone from Tampa. I never wanted him here in the beginning, so all his bandwagon fans can go somewhere else. They never cared about the Bucs; everything was about Brady.

  81. SlyPirate Says:

Would you rather have Winston gushing about the Bucs, not making the playoffs, and not winning the Super Bowl?

    I’m good with TB12.

Best Bucs QB of all time. I don’t care if he wants to admit it or not.

  82. gotbbucs Says:

He was a mercenary that brought some mercenary friends along with him.

It was a fun and exciting time to be a Buc fan, but it’s quickly becoming a distant memory. Everybody has moved on, except Joe I guess.

  83. WNCBucsFan Says:

Honesty and integrity. Nobody seems to remember Deflategate. Take it for what it is, he gave us another trophy. Now it’s Baker’s time to shine. The past belongs in the past.

  84. unbelievable Says:

    ‘79 Defense nailed it.

Some of you are so desperate to have some axe to grind with him, it’s just bizarre.

And D-Rome, he had Lavonte David, Donovan Smith, Ryan Jensen and Breshad Permian at his roast, sitting on stage.

  85. Bring back the lawn chairs Says:

Anyhony, what’s wrong with fat chicks at 2 am?
Any port in a storm my man, any port in a storm…

  86. SOEbuc Says:

Way too early. I thought this guy wanted to spend time with his kids away from playing football. Nothing different traveling every weekend. Who knows where the kids and Gez will be in the world.

  87. Dave Pear Says:

Lawn chairs – excellent point! The only thing better than a fat chick at 2am?

    Two fat chicks at 2am!!!!!!

  88. Gipper Says:

In case anyone has missed it: “Tom Brady is all about Tom Brady.”

  89. Bucsmarley Says:

Hurts to see fans ungrateful for the time we had Brady. Some of these comments are just disrespectful. Brings us a Super Bowl and culture change and your feelings are hurt he doesn’t mention the Bucs in a podcast. Just ridiculous
Tom if you read this know I appreciate you

  90. Football fan Says:

I see more crybabies on here. Not a single Bucs player/teammate or fan went to his roast or Patriots ceremony, but Bucs fans are mad he didn’t mention them in an interview hahaha

  91. Rafael Says:

Brady was the prime mover of this team in 2020 and you guys were about to be ousted by Washington and Taylor Henicke in the first round but Brady had a huge game and saved you. Great defense by Tampa in 2020? Not not really they were above average though.

Brady was elite in 2020 and 2021 per Pro Football Focus grades and tape reviews. 2022 he was still above average and better than Baker Mayfield was in 2023. How is Baker going to do this year without having all the easy answers to the test and Dave Canales dialing up automatic plays that any decent qb could convert on? Back to reality for Baker this year Tampa fans.

You know when Brady was here I actually was intrigued by you Tampa fans. Since he has left a sizeable portion of you have shown your true identity to be back biting and two faced, Not to mention most of your grasp on football and performances are off as well.

  92. Bobby Says:

Regardless if he talks about the Bucs or doesn’t. I will always look back at the Brady, Gronk and Arian years with fondness. Our team was one of the top teams in the NFL for 2 seasons. We won a SB in our own stadium!!! For 3 seasons the Bucs were one of most talked about teams in national sports media. It was so cool to have witnessed that. Being a loyal Bucs fan isn’t easy especially considering most years media expects the Bucs to lose and we don’t get much national spotlight. So to see the opposite effect when Brady was here was incredible and so awesome. Thank you Tom Brady, Gronk and Bruce Arians for coming to Tampa. Getting Brady was like winning the NFL lottery. Go Bucs!!

Carpet bagger, never a true Buc.

  94. Vgb Says:

See this comment section and how you talk about tom brady like a dog …THE MAN THREW 719 TIMES BECAUSE A COACH COULDNT REMEMBER IT WAS NOT THE 1990’S ..A HC WHO COULDNT REMEMBER WHY HE CANT WIN THE BIG GAME BECAUSE HE PLAYED NOT TO LOSE INSTEAD OF THE WIN…and,Joe buc here I stopped following after how EASILY YOU ALL FORGOT ABOUT HIM…THE MURIEL OF HIM THE DREW OVER…TOM BRADY MADE YOUR NAMES…so I guess he said ” If I am nothing to you then go back and be irrelevant ” ..I AM JUST SAYING

Who cares . Bucs had the best O-line in the NFL. He knew it . J. Winston had just thrown for over 5000 yards behind that line . There was multiple offers . He knew what team was a decent QB away from being a contender.
    FOOTBALL IS A TEAM SPORT.
Thanks for helping us win a Superbowl and your welcome for helping you win a Superbowl. Was a lot of fun. Good luck in your next endeavor. Everybody got what they wanted . Enjoyed collaborating with you . On to the future .
    As always Go BUCS

  96. Jr Says:

To be fair, he just came off a Hall of Fame induction for The Patriots like a week ago and got to reunite with the players he balled with for 20-years. I don’t think a mention is all that important. You’ll probably hear some Bucks stories/experience from him in the Fox booth

  97. Slol Says:

@Brandon where did he admit he sucked?

  98. Ed McSherry Says:

Brady was as much a Buccaneers as a Patriot.

Unless those differ on that opinion are ready to say the Rams Super Bowl win was only because they rented Stafford, Beckham Jr and Von Miller as “ringers.”

What if the Raiders won the Super Bowl after signing Devante Adams?

It’s how football works: teams are built through the draft, Free Agents and trades.

Otherwise, only a team made-up of only five years or more veterans are the only “true teams” who are eligible to win “a real Super Bowl?” That doesn’t make much sense.

Brady was a Buccaneer with total commitment to winning.

    The G.O.A.T counts.

  99. CleanHouse Says:

We probably forced him to play w us instead of Miami and his wife left him so he hates us.

  100. itzok Says:

I can’t believe the hate. Ungrateful fans. Guess they prefer losing.

What Brady accomplished in 2 seasons was incredible. He should be in the ring of honor and have a statue just for his 1st year with the team alone. It should already be announced. QB Offensive coordinator, and GM. None of those key players who won the superbowl, Gronk, Fournette, or AB would have been here without Brady.

still believe if AB doesn’t go crazy and Godwin doesn’t get hurt in year 2 they would have won it again

Get over it already..ur starting to sound like an obsessed x girlfriend..let it go..Stop counting how many words are between a SuperBowl quarterback and a bumb ass columnist
