Very excited to see Tampa draft Chop despite couch GMs crying about “production” when that is like the last thing that factors into scouting.
Even the best college players need to develop and bust just like everyone else – what matters is what you can turn a player into and what his ceiling is – and Robinson has a clear path to being an elite edge rusher.
PENIX, IF HE FALLS TO 26. NO TRADING UP. LETS GET A TRUE FRANCHISE QB WHO CAN MAKE A 60 YARD PLAY WITH HIS LEGS OR ARM. TAMPAS HAD ELITE PASS BLOCKING FOR YEARS AND I DON’T SEE THAT CHANGING IN 2025………HAINSEY AINT THE BEST BUT HE’S SOLID CONSIDERING WHAT HE’S EARNING.
I speak for everyone here when I say that I hope whoever we draft is a good guy who loves his family and just hands the ball to the ref after a good play and doesn’t showboat. Give me a hot Sunday afternoon in 125 feels like temps with 7 weather delays and I’ll be happy knowing we are watching good wholesome people on the field – and results are absolutely secondary. There’s no one that can disagree with that!
@74bucsfan………that’s why I specified PASS BLOCKING. The run blocking can be better but I trust Lichts judgement on 2nd and 3rd round olineman. We need offense, not defense. There are plenty of losing teams with top 10 defenses but top 10 offenses are typically mainstays of the postseason. GO BUCS
Center
Move RH back to guard. Solve two positions with one pick.
Draft a guard, you still need a center.
I’m not liking the edge that would be available.
I’d take Newton.
There are a bunch of WRs this draft. The team needs to get one.
Maybe trade down, not up.
The talent drops after round 3.
Corner needs to be higher. Our corners have been overrated for years even when Carlton was here. I vote 1. Edge, 2. Corner, 3. Receiver (we could use a young one in the pipeline), 4. Offensive line. I might throw qb in there somewhere too

I voted Other: Let’s draft a versatile freak athlete who can play all 22 positions. 25 if you add in long snapper, kicker, and punter.
Go get THAT guy!
LOLz.
April 25th, 2024 at 4:49 pm
Top 3 positions would be Center/EDGE/WR.
I voted Center because it has the highest “hit” rate by a mile in the first round.
April 25th, 2024 at 4:50 pm
I voted Center.
April 25th, 2024 at 4:51 pm
Edge. IOL. RB.
April 25th, 2024 at 4:52 pm
Center center center center
April 25th, 2024 at 4:55 pm
I voted center because I don’t think a good edge rusher will still be there at 26.
But if somehow they are, I’d say edge and get a center / guard in the 2nd instead.

Other
BPA, with consideration to need, but no stretches.
April 25th, 2024 at 5:04 pm
BPA!!
April 25th, 2024 at 5:07 pm
There is a center out of Oregon – Jackson Powers-Johnson – who just might be there when we pick in round 1.
April 25th, 2024 at 5:10 pm
I don’t have a preference
Just get it over!
April 25th, 2024 at 5:17 pm
It all depends on what happens with the first 25 picks…. Duh
Interior OLine and Edge are our biggest needs
April 25th, 2024 at 5:25 pm
Depends who’s available….

Edge – then WR.

Highest rated player on the board at either o-line, edge, or reciever.
April 25th, 2024 at 6:53 pm
Jimmyp- with all due respect – our oline the past two years has been light years from elite.
Improve the Oline Jason. Sneak in a big RB in there and I’m happy.
April 25th, 2024 at 7:02 pm
What’s the over / under on ESPN produced drivel sob stories about players? I’m going to put it at 20.
April 25th, 2024 at 7:13 pm
Thankfully bucs dont need a kicker.
April 25th, 2024 at 7:13 pm
Detroit fun fact: Robocop was actually filmed in Dallas.
April 25th, 2024 at 7:14 pm
No QB and no trading up. BPA.
April 25th, 2024 at 7:18 pm
Can’t wait until we get the news at 11:30p that the Bucs traded back to the top of the 2nd.

If someone falls down the board before pick 25 that Tampa finds value in, they could very well move up around the late teens.

Perhaps the loud crowd was for edge, Joe?
