Of course there’s always room for improvement. But look around the NFL. Which front office other than ours would you prefer? They have gone all in when they felt it was right. Handled the budget when it was needed. Drafted. Better than average. I have no complaints.
I would be very confident or totally confident if they could draft a running back, defensive end, or quarterback. But to date, they haven’t proven they can do that.
Barring injury the Bucs will win this garbage division and have another home playoff game(s?) The Falcons are definitely improving but not scary. Saints will be in last place, F Cam Jordan. Canales will have Carolina playing better but the quarterback is still sorry and who is a weapon on that team? GO BUCS
Confident because I know we will not draft a bonafide superstar this year. I know there will be a player for whatever reason no one can predict that will shine bright, who was drafted after us in a position of need that will piss me off.
Licht’s Last Four Years
Super Bowl
3x NFCS Champs
Longest Playoff Streak in NFC
Most Drafted Pro Bowlers in NFCS
Only team in history to return all 22 starters after Super Bowl
Highest draft and FA resign rate in NFL
Won NFCS and a playoff game with $80M in dead cap
Working successfully through the transition from “All in” during the Brady years to paying off the $100M+ in massive debt while remaining competitive is what’s most impressive.
The only way to really manage that is to draft well – from the back half of each round year in and year out – which is really hard to do……
Jason and his team have done a great job managing the money and guiding this team through player acquisition to where it is right now….. competitive – with a bright future….
You really couldn’t hope for more after rightfully maxing out the credit cards and just 1 year removed from losing the best QB who ever played the game to retirement…..
Yep, transitioned through salary cap hell and still won the division. Drafted future HOF ME, TW and AW. Late rounders and UDFA contribute. Front office is banging. Coaching staff, they didn’t Iggle through the losing streak, pulled it together and went out tough R2 playoffs. Kudos to Todd, he never lost the team, steady hand at the tiller. Very well ran organization
Well at least the 5 poor cretins who hate on Jason for not insisting Kyle Trashk get to lose games and humiliate himself in front of NFL nation, that’s as sane and unified a reaction on JBF in a while.
Let’s see. 3 straight conference championships and a Superbowl in 4 years. I wonder who the morons are that voted little or no confidence? Must be Saints fans.

I’ll go confident this time around. how they do this draft will send it up or down. There is always room for improvement

Licht and Co. are easily a top 5 front office in the NFL.
Compared to Dummynik – Bucs went from the outhouse to the penthouse.

John Spytek and Mike Greenberg are the best in the business. We are fortunate they haven’t bolted for GM jobs(yet)

Totally Confident.
But with Bowels…I would give him Confident…based on Defense alone.

We’re reaching a point where fitting new guys means getting rid of guys we have had for years.
There is only so much room on a roster. When you draft well…it happens.
Right now we have holes to fill, so it won’t happen this year…but it’s coming in a few years.
At some point, we’ll have to choose between new talent and fan favs.

I am in the totally confident group. I have watched Jason Light grow in his level of competence for the past 11 years.

Licht chose to fire Lovie. He will always have my vote of confidence.
