Mike Evans Makes The Pro Bowl

Another Pro Bowl.
When the Pro Bowl rosters were announced earlier this evening, one name was a total no-brainer.
That would be Mike Evans..
Someday, hopefully not too long into the future, Evans will be inducted into Canton and have his bust in the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
So in Evans’ 10th season, leading the league in touchdown catches, Joe could not fathom Evans not making the Pro Bowl. And thus he did this evening.
Joe doesn’t want to take away from this great honor for Evans, the greatest receiver in Bucs history. However, later tonight Joe will have words about the Pro Bowl and the voting overall.
Kudos to Evans on this honor and for having a fantastic season. Let’s hope there are more to come.

Awesome that Michael Lynn got in! A travesty of epic proportions that Antione Winfield was left off this roster. I would be furious if I were him although not sure what he or anyone can do about it (probably nothing but pout, cause I am though.) Recount?!
I also didn’t like Tristan missing the cut as well. Dern roster is basically a popularity contest now.

They just need to get rid of the pro bowl. No one is watching flag football and it should be a vote among coaches and players. To many times people that rarely watch football are voting for names they know. Winfield is still the best Safety in the NFL despite the pro bowl snub.

Winfield not being in is insane.
Everyone who thinks they got snubbed – you can actually make an argument and the stats are close… Like Stafford and several other quarterbacks including Mayfield.
BUT WINFIELD?!?!? it’s not even close. It is him then Jesse Bates… If they need another safety, flip a coin.

Evans is my absolute favorite Buc of all time on Offense and then Alstott a close second. It is definitely a privilege to witness his career as it unfolds. I’m doing my best to make it long enough to see him get presented into the hall of fame.

The issue is with other Bucs non-Pro Bowlers is that they normally SHAT the bed when they play in Prime-Time games for the entire country (or Amazon/Peacock) to see. This was even when Lord Tom was playing for us.

Um… I remember another time when a Buc DB got snubbed in Pro Bowl voting. That player had an appropriate response that went something like “Pro Bowl my ass, I’m going to the Super Bowl.” Wouldn’t that be the sweetest revenge! Go Bucs! Go AW (& other DB’s)!

For those that don’t know the pro bowl is a POPULARITY contest. That’s it’s. It’s not based on stats. It’s based on fans/players/coaches favorite players. I quit watching the actual pro bowl game a long time ago.

Um… I remember another Bucs DB who was snubbed in Pro Bowl voting. I believe his response went something like “Pro Bowl my a$$, I’m going to the Super Bowl.” Wouldn’t mind that kind of revenge / response from the DB’s & from the whole defense. Go Bucs! Go AW! LFG!
