Since the game thread against the Saints, I’ve held this stance and I believe it in my heart, mind and soul:
baker and Bowles needed to win the Saints game to come back I. 2024, they lost. They need to win a home playoff game and not look like @ss on MNF. If they lose, HC/QB will be changed.

So, another gritty, if not stat, victory. Baker has the locker room. He is hurt, perfect. He has shown the entire team, fanbase,coaches, ownership. what he will do. I predict, entire team destroys the eagles, you find a quarterback like that, you protect him. still, 35-17, bucs. but effort, will be mind blowing. They Believe in Baker

Lol, that’s cause what separates most of these QBs is their surroundings. Now I’m not saying Baker is Mahomes, there is a small cut above the rest, but there are 15 QBs in the league that are interchangeable. Baker on the Panthers last year was Bryce Young. Baker on the Bucs this year is 45 year old Tom Brady. If Baker had a better OL and run game he would be Jared Goff. OL, Weapons, Scheme. Those 3 things matter more than the QB, the exceptions being a Mahomes (who we see is very human with a lack of trustworthy targets) or Lamar and then the bottom 6-8 QBs who are actually just trash or bad enough where in a good system they can’t find any consistency week to week.

I know you guys made this podcast the day before all these big name head coaches became available. Belichick is now available. Carrol is no longer the HC in Seattle. Mike Vrabel is available as well. Monken will be available too. Not to mention the future HCs that are going to be fired by other teams in order to get these big name coaches, that will be available. Glazers want a name. Belichick and Licht and the Bucs make too much sense in my opinion. Can you imagine the National spotlight the Bucs are going to get if Belichick is the Bucs HC in 2024-2025 while he is chasing Shula’s all time wins record. The Glazers need to go get Belichick. Whatever it takes to get him. Let’s Go Bucs!!
