Kay Adams Wags Finger At Lack Of Bucs Coverage

Digging Bucs’ win streak.
While the Bucs are getting a little more run in the national media because they are on a four-game winning streak and one win from a division title, the Bucs aren’t exactly media darlings.
And Kay Adams thinks that’s wrong.
The former NFL Network it-girl has been hosting her own nationally-televised morning show, “Up and Adams,” the past two NFL seasons seen weekday mornings on “FanDuelTV.” She believes the Bucs are not getting the coverage most good teams get. So she slightly scolded the sports media world.
Adams, who admits she’s a slimy Saints girl (she’s also a Bengals girl, too), lauded the Bucs and Baker Mayfield for nearly being on the brink of collapse and bouncing back to the cusp of an unprecedented third-straight NFC South crown.
By the way, Adams said, a win over the slimy Saints on Sunday gives the Bucs more wins this season than they had last year with Tom Brady.
That alone, she said, should get national NFL media types hot and bothered.
(She also added, correctly, that Mike Evans is flying way under the radar considering his great season.)
Adams added she believes the Cowboys should want no part of the streaking Bucs should the two teams meet in Tampa to open the playoffs.

Bucs win and bust up the Aints then the only debate is if Bowels does a Dungy like he did last year and rest his team? I disagree with the Joe’s consensus that it is okay to let younger players play in the Carolina game and rest the starters. I feel that the offense is still learning and reps are important. Our now somehow “great” OC they need reps, why would you deny them from a rising Bucs team by playing stiffs who may not be on the roster next year?

Very poor grammar on my part in my earlier post, OC Canales has exceeded expectations and he says the team will get better as they play more and more on the clock. More reps is better. Go Bucs!

This team has played 2 straight quality games, and only about 4 good games all season. For the first 13 games it was not a product people want to watch. Win 2 more games convincingly; win a playoff game against a quality team; don’t relapse at QB and HC. Then the rest of the football world might care about the Bucs.

give us the division with a win over the Aints and then my wish is to beat down the Beagles in the WC. If we can get better coverage on the backend we have the offense to keep defenses honest with evans being able to compete on the deep ball as good as anyone and now baker getting it to him

Let the Bucs settle a few scores and win the Aints game Sunday, New Years Eve. Tampa and New Orleans at RJS. If I was younger, I would be there. Can you imagine the tailgating between fans of these 2 teams? They have been Gulf Coast rivals since the Bucs came on board in the mid 1970s. Go Bucs!! All-Pro game, CG14.

It’s a four-game winning streak but it is still just four games removed from this team looking dead in the water and I think the media is just waiting for that shoe to drop. Remember, a lot of people bought in when we were 3-1 and got burned. They may be reluctant to jump on board again.

I thought she was wagging her finger at Todd Bowles for his worst in the league pass coverage. I wish someone would pin Todd down on that and ask why he insists on running zone bust coverages when he’s got two of the better press-man corners in the league. Also, why does he seem unable to correct the busts?

It’s nice to get a little attention, but they’ve only played two good games in a row after struggling to beat Carolina and Atlanta. So, although I’m excited at what could be an actual turnaround, I’m not sold yet. If they win the last 2 in a solid fashion, I’ll believe.

Kay is one of the few Female Football commenters I have a modicum of respect for. Not just a pretty face. Albeit a very pretty face.
