Joe can’t emphasize enough how the Bucs should run away with today’s football game at The Licht House. Yeah, the Panthers are that bad.
Consider what happens when they throw the football.
Per various stat nerd outlets, Carolina rookie quarterback Bryce Young’s average depth of target this season is 6.3 yards. That’s a full yard behind miserable Mac Jones and even more behind bumbling backups starters Desmond Ridder (7.9) and Zach Wilson (7.6).
The Panthers rarely throw deep, in part because Young doesn’t have time and often looks scared in the pocket. Joe can’t blame him, his offensive line is ugly.
It’s a big reason the Panthers haven’t broken 15 points since mid-October. Their top receiver and only serious threat, veteran Adam Thielen, is averaging about 8 yards per catch over his last five games.
Even with their injuries and issues, the Bucs still have serious talent on their defense — in their front-7 and in safety Antoine Winfield and Carlton Davis. And Zyon McCollum is a special talent though not a special player.
Without Devin White and Lavonte David today, the Bucs will need strong games from Vita Vea, who didn’t get on the stat sheet last week, and YaYa Diaby and Calijah Kancey.
The good news is it really shouldn’t be too difficult.

The Bucs probably stand a better chance without Devin White, whoever replaces him will probably TRY to make tackles and cover.

I saw a few videos of DW on another site, they showed four or five in that last game where he literally could not get off of a block

Look out for Plan 9 from Outer Space. After his demotion he is angry. He has hired a Soyuz Rocket to deliver a full tank of retro rocket fuel in orbit and will swoop down for many big plays.

I know his surrounding talent is terrible, but man, Bryce Young looks absolutely awful. Small, slow, scared and inaccurate. …Of course, that’ll all probably change for this one Sunday.

The Panters are some excuse from an NFL Football team based up there in Yankeeland of Northern Carolina. They have uniforms and such but that is about it. You could get 50 guys from West Shore Mall and dress them out to make a team like them. The main thing right now is the Falcons game…couple hours til the Battle of the Bums by the Bay

UK Buc, how is the second pick last year working out in Houston? How have things gone in Cincy with their first overall pick at QB? How have things gone for KC with their 7th overall pick a few years ago? If you don’t have a franchise QB you don’t win playoff games and SBs. Or you could spend the next 10 years going 7-10 while knowing you never have a real shot at championships.

Recently we took a QB first overall. He failed to earn a second contract. We presently have a no. 1 overall QB on the team and fans want him out.
The draft is a crapshoot, and that’s why you don’t tank.

so many good quarterbacks in next years draft–we need to be very careful not to make the bryce young mistake one of the Joe’s liked CJ Stroud and he was very right!
