Sure. Where is your proof? Did he really lose the fake competition this year? He had a much better camp, as I recall. He was told if he did better than Mayfield, he would get the job. He did…and Bowels did not give him the job. He was never going to, because he wanted Mayfield from the start.
So the claim that Trask lost the competition is a myth. That very visible facts prove it.
Mayfield may or may not be a good QB…but he has proven he is a better QB than Mayfield at the very least.

Hah! Bad argument. Arians had Brady. His concern was not development, but having a veteran who MIGHT win one game if Brady went down. Plus, Trask was a rookie…nowhere ready to compete with the greatest of all time.
Seriously, man…neither of us will change our opinion and you’ve been around for a while, so I’m fine with that. We’re both fans and really, it doesn’t matter which of us is right.
If Baker can get us two games intro the playoffs, I’ll support him. I just do not believe he can win games against winning teams…and he has not done it for us so far.
The reason I want Trask is because he needs proper development. If Baker fails us this year, we cannot have him as a backup. That would only lead to controversy as a rookie develops.
We need Trask either to step up and be great, or step up and develop into a quality backup by the end of the season.
