A Signature And Familiar Loss

November 5th, 2023

Team Glazer is lurking,

For seven consecutive seasons, Team Glazer and Bucs fans suffered through their beloved team opening every year (2013-2019) with a 3-5 record or worse.

It was a stunning run of ineptitude that was the signature of The Lost Decade with the Bucs finding incredible ways to lose.

Those years disappeared with Tom Brady. And now they’re back.

The Bucs’ ridiculous 39-37 loss to the Texans today pushed the Bucs’ record down to 3-5. They’re on a four-game losing streak, something that hasn’t bitten the Bucs since early in the 2019 season. Back then, however, the NFC South (and the NFC overall) wasn’t as bad as it is today.

Joe believes the 3-5 start is an alarm bell for Team Glazer, a signal that Todd Bowles is never going to win them a championship. And if you lose Super Bowl faith in your head coach, then what do you have?

The Bucs are too talented to be stuck in this hole. It’s up to Bowles to dig them out, otherwise all that digging will be his Buccaneers grave.

  10. Fishhawkbuc Says:

Arians intentionally placed Bowles into the NC position knowing he would fail miserably….making him look that much better.

  11. BillyBucco Says:

Perfect example of why Bowles HAS TO GO.
    Writing is on the wall!!!!!!

  12. rrsrq Says:

Are the Bucs too talented- we thought we had defensive backs but that is a big A nope, naw, nada,

  13. BucfaninMi Says:

    MAKE A MOVE GLAZER!

  14. Brian Dailey Says:

HE CANT COACH THEM OUT THIS BECAUSE HE CANT COACH! EVERYBODY INCLUDING THE GM NEEDS TO GO!!!

  15. Since76 Says:

They were confused. Then over prepared. Now back to basics. What will the excuse be now that the basics has been used. Blow it up!!!!!

  16. Anthony Says:

I send out tweets every week towards the ends of these games asking for Trask to start, but not because Baker played bad, but purely because this season is over and Baker is a win-now QB and we have no business winning games anymore. So I say again, just start him and see what we have. Fire Bowles, fire Canales, purge the coaching staff, and bench Davis and Dean for the rest of the year. Tank, and get the rebuild started already

  17. rfdes Says:

Don’t fret my friends, Ruptured Bowles will figure it out. We all know that the defense is not the problem and once Slug Mayfield learns the complicated offense we’ll be golden.

  18. BrianBucs Says:

    Is Bowles fired yet?

  19. SB~LV Says:

    Lots have to go!
We were in the same spot a year ago.
    Repulsive!

  20. Dave Pear Says:

Until Todd Bowles is terminated as Bucs head coach I am done with this team. Good luck Bucs fans. The talent is there, the underachievement is staggering.

  21. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Another Rookie QB made to look like a Hall of Famer

Thanks Bowles ROOKIE COACH AND QB WOW

The Bucs kept Bowles GOOD CALL

At Least Tix will be cheap HAHA

  25. Jw94buc Says:

Crazy how went from 3-1 to top of our division. To doing the time warp again. And we went back to the lost decade four straight. At least the offense showed signs of improvement today. Stalking in the third sucked. But you’re a defensive head coach. And your defense keeps losing the games. But keep force feeding me this crap. I hate the glazers.

  26. Joshua porter Says:

It’s time tonstart over . I’ve been a big supporter of Bowles but now the defense is trash so why keep him. Go get an offensive minded coach and get rid of the oc as well .

  27. Rican Says:

    Fire Todd Bowles.

  28. realistic-optimistic Says:

Why no timeout before the half. Houston was at 3rd and 20 with 40 seconds on the clock. Bucs had 3 TOs. Nah, no urgency. Who needs more points??

  29. dbbuc711 Says:

Zero reason not to fire Bowles. And it may just light some butts on fire.

  30. Vlad The Impaler Says:

    LOL @ scheme Glazers

  31. First Last Says:

Dang what the hell is going on with this team. You could see it on Bakers face at the end of the first half when we used zero timeouts to try andngo up another score before the half.

  32. Leighroy Says:

Carleton Davis was the ultimate goat today, but so was the rest of the secondary aside from AWjr. These are Bowles’ hand picked guys and we’ve shelled millions out to them.

Charles Davis figured out the Texans secondary faster than Dave Canales did, and yet we still ran on first down seemingly every time. Baker and Evans kept us in this game, and in spite of their efforts everyone else let them down.

  33. ATrain Says:

Great DC ?????? seriously DID YOU WATCH THE GAME

  34. BangkokBuc Says:

    Fire Bowels
Not spending another nickel on this team until that happens.

  35. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Glazers have never fire a coach mid-season…….but have fire coaches in December……..

I predict Bowles will be fired in December

  36. Chris Bucs Fan Boise Says:

    Trash Franchise

  37. Vlad The Impaler Says:

    Time to nuke this abomination

  38. Bosch Says:

Fire Bowels after the season but begin the coaching search now.

  39. SBucs Says:

Clean house. Keep Godwin, Wirfs, Winfield, Camarta…. Carlton Davis has been terrible since they showed him the money

  40. Joshua porter Says:

Need that top 5 pick to get the qb from Washingtonor caleb williams. go bucs

  41. Jerry Says:

The Glazers are not going to fire anyone until the end of the season. No matter how much people whine on social media.

  42. BillyBucco Says:

How about throw out your 1988 PREVENT DEFENSE.
    WHAT A JOKE

  43. Bee Says:

You’re seriously brain-dead if you think Bowles can somehow coach this team out of this. He makes no adjustments, just the same thing every week.

  44. Mike Johnson Says:

The article says the Bucs are to talented? You’d better find some D linemen next year. Find a QB, a coach and yes a new GM. You guys give licht a lot of credit. Make him pack his bags also. Blow it up!!

  45. Vlad The Impaler Says:

Boycott the rest of the Bucs games this season

  46. Sc bucs fan Says:

One thing you know, at the end of the game the Bucs D will fold. Every game.

  47. Vlad The Impaler Says:

Boycott the rest of the Bucs games this season!!

  48. gotbbucs Says:

I said before the Bills game that we would lose our next five games. Three more games to go. Could be more considering how we play against rookie/backup QB. Bryce Love will likely have his best game of his rookie year against this sorry defensive scheme.

  49. The Beer Whisperer Says:

“You can get lost in the season, trying to prepare too much”… Todd Bowles

  50. BucfaninMi Says:

  53. Craig Says:

I can’t even hang it on Baker.

I will hang it on Bowles’ vaunted defense. Not only did it look like not one DB was on the field all day, but they allowed Stroud to get the rookie passing record of 455 yards and 4 TDs. That was with a running game that only had around 20 yards total.

Great job, Hot Toddie, hope you can find a new team with that kind of record.

  54. Miller5252 Says:

Don’t let Canales off. His crappy play calling let the Texans stay around when they should have been blown out early. Bowles didn’t call any TO before half to try and add more points and the D gave up 470 yards to a Rook! Both need gone because of what happened today. Had no business losing to the Texans when your head coach is a supposed D guru against a rookie. Looked like Mariota messing us up all over again week 1 when he was a rookie.

  55. ModHairKen Says:

Don’t forget: Arians caused this by resigning so late they had no choice but to promote Bowles.

    FIRE BOWLES NOW.

  56. Colonel Angus Says:

Bowles ain’t digging the Bucs out of anything. He’s got to go

  57. Vlad The Impaler Says:

My brother who hardly watches football commented that the Bucs pass defense was non-existent

  58. The Beer Whisperer Says:

    Bucs were too prepared?

  59. rfdes Says:

    Texans:
    Rookie Quarterback
    100+ yards Texan penalties
    No Kicker

Perfect recipe for Bucs azz kicking!

  60. BigMacAttack Says:

Yeah, I held out as long as I could. Time to fire the entire coaching staff

  61. MegaFailure Says:

if you thought bucs home games had not very much bucs fans before, oh boy

  62. BucfaninMi Says:

That’s like Lovie saying he didn’t want to kick a FG for the lead before halftime

  63. Pewter Power Says:

    lol Bowles was Tennessee ready

  64. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

“Joe believes the 3-5 start is an alarm bell for Team Glazer, a signal that Todd Bowles is never going to win them a championship.”

Exactly. But we both know they won’t fire him during the season.

Even if they were willing…we don’t even have a good option for an interim HC, unless Arians is willing to step in to finish the year, which I doubt.

    FIRE DAVE CANALES

BLOW IT ALL UP. LET MIKE EVANS AND LAVONTE DAVID GO PLAY FOR A WINNER

  68. Rayjay1122 Says:

Bowles and his defense losing us games again. Time to focus on draft order next year. Start tanking now to avoid accidentally winning any future games.

  69. Red86 Says:

I was of the mind that Bowles wasn’t on the hot seat due to not having his own staff. He got to go. lol. Rookie QB outplayed the team he coach.

  70. BigMacAttack Says:

Canales isn’t cutting it either but they still scored a lot of points today

  71. BigZ Says:

It always starts with ownership and the GM.
Look at our last 3 to 4 drafts. Outside of TW and AW, not much.
JL lucked out with BA because he was on thin ice. Then Tom became available and it worked out because of the location, Mike and Godwin and BA history with QBs. As we should have known that was a lease not a purchase. JL failed for the future, bad FA and reaching in the early parts of the draft for projects that would have been drafted later.

  72. SB~LV Says:

Good thing we have a defensive minded head coach

  73. D-Rok Says:

    Pathetic.

  74. Vlad The Impaler Says:

    FIRE BOWELS NOW

  75. Tbbucs3 Says:

Baker Mayfield played a great game today despite incompetent play calling consistently putting the Bucs in 3rd and long.

Mayfield is absolutely not the problem…the pathetic part is that if the Bucs had an even top 15 defense you have a contender in the NFC south.

  76. Tom Jones Says:

FIRE BOWLES TONIGHT! He needs to go!

  77. Since76 Says:

Cardinals are 1-8. So we might pick after them in the draft. Time to turn our focus to next year. It’s a bucs life.

  78. TheBucsAnthem Says:

……welcome to another lost season Bucs Fans……again

  79. BigMacAttack Says:

The schedule gets harder from here

  80. HC Grover Says:

A great and fun loss. Embrace the suck. Losing can be fun as it was in the beginning. We will accidently win a couple too. This loss was hard for Bowzo to engineer but somehow he came through in the last 30 seconds.

  81. MegaFailure Says:

LVD needs to retire after the season, father time is undefeated

  82. Dreambig Says:

Joe, you can’t be serious, on what grounds would anyone have expected Bowles to be a Super Bowl winning head coach, ever? His head coaching winning percentage has to be lower than 35% now.

  83. Vlad The Impaler Says:

Typical Glazer team w exception of Dungy/Gruden and Arians teams

  84. Pewter Power Says:

No reason not to play Kyle Trask at this point. Can’t open the playbook when the quarterback is too short

  85. BigMacAttack Says:

We will finish the Season 3-14. No more wins. Lol

  86. Hunter Says:

Would LOVE a FRESH change. Would at least be fun to watch.

Bowles is here because we didn’t want to lose a “great” defense.

Today was a God-Awful defensive performance. Has been pretty hard to watch for the whole season for the most part.

If he is giving us the opposite of the reason he is here, there is no reason to keep him.

Great guy and I feel for him, but the right move is to let him go. if not this week, then definitely by the end of the season.

  87. firethecannons Says:

    FIRE TODD BOWLES NOW

  88. Vlad The Impaler Says:

  92. Dewey Selmon Says:

Bowls is starting to smell like a Coloscopy bag

  93. Stvcl Says:

I believe Coach Bowles was a good defensive coach, I don’t believe he is suited to be a head coach. His low key manner is reflected on the field by his players. There’s no fire in the team. They seem to be just going through the motions..Time to walk the plank Todd.

  94. WillieG Says:

    Dear Glazers,

    Here’s my Christmas list:
    A new head coach
    A new coaching staff too
A running back who has more than one good game per year
    Edge rushers….lots of them
    A kick returner
A special teams coach who isn’t afraid to rush the punter
An attacking offense that’s fun to watch like it was under BA
Bus tickets for JTS and R. White and maybe D. White
New deals for Evans and Winfield
    Jensen back at center

    There’s more…..

  95. Gofortheface30 Says:

We are not, by any means “too talented.” I’m not standing for that shi. Bowles should be gone but don’t let these mfers off the hook. F outta here with that soft shi. Players play and players execute. Where’s the pass rush? Where are our two very highly paid corners. Do our highly paid corners make plays? Ever? Do our highly paid receivers get open CONSISTENTLY? We are not anywhere near as talented as you want to believe. If we were, we wouldn’t be pedestrian, stupid, uninspired

  96. Vlad The Impaler Says:

  99. ElioT Says:

    Licht needs to go too.

The roster is built for the 2010s NFL. League has changed a lot and the Bucs can’t be competitive with this current mix of players.

It’s just not happening, nothing is looking good for the future.

Gotta press the reset button asap – from top down.

  100. Rod Munch Says:

WAY TO SCREW OVER THE BUCS, NFL!

  101. Bucfan Says:

Give Todd a break. He is working on getting the top pick in the draft for the Bucs NEXT head coach!!!!!!!!!!!!

  102. BucsFaninTN Says:

Fire him. He’s not getting better as a coach. Heck the defense is not getting better either. They were trash today.

  103. Voice of Truth Says:

Called this before it even started, 2-0 quickly becomes 3-5 – it will be 4-8 after the next 4 games…5-12 to finish the season…

Season is over with Todd Blows in charge – just fire him now and play Trask

All off-season have been saying six wins max and looks like I was absolutely spot on correct

Baker is just good enough to get you beat and Todd ensures it happens as often as possible

  104. Jeebs the Honey Bear Says:

    FIRE BOWELS

  105. BigZ Says:

Correct, Tony 1775. That’s on ownership and JL.

  106. Ted Says:

Both times that the Bucs won a super bowl, the Bucs had an aggressive, high profile, offensive loving head coach and a veteran QB. It is not rocket science .

  107. PbnJ Says:

What are your final record predictions?

    I fear it’s gonna be a disaster.

    6-11 or 7-10

Perfect place for the treadmill of mediocrity.

The one plus to that, I think Penix is the best option in 2024.

Williams, Maye & Nix probably go first? Penix can be had around 12-16.

  108. Mike H Says:

Watching this game was like watching a train wreck. Just couldn’t rake my eyes off of it but noting a disaster was going to happen ! Oh yeah..fire Bowels at the airport.

  109. Orlando Kevin Says:

We should have won this game. This is on Bowles and the defense. The defense was played tough in the 1st half giving up only 10 points but were flat in the 2nd giving up 29 points to a rookie. A rookie that just got a record on us.

The secondary looked a half step behind playing soft. Who were they scared of?

  110. Chris Bucs Fan Boise Says:

    Toilet Bowls- Dave CanEatAs$

  111. Gofortheface30 Says:

That’s stupid as hell Stevek. We are a half a season in and up until today Stephs and young had pretty equal stats with young clearly outplaying stroud by a large margin head to head just last week with less weapons. Young will be just fine, and Panthers fans will be just fine.

  112. PbnJ Says:

Chris from Boise, swing & a miss, A for effort.

  113. Mike S Says:

I think we collectively have had enough.

We’ve been patient – we’ve listened to all the sales jobs, the rah rah speeches, the arguments…

This is a bad football team.

    THEY HAD NO KICKER EVEN.

    4 in a row.

    Changes need to be made.

DON’T YOU DARE TRY TO SELL US THE “IT’S NOT BAKER” LINE OF BS.

    DON’T EVEN TRY THAT.

NO COACH COMING IN IS GOING TO KEEP BAKER – THERE IS NO REASON TO KEEP RUNNING HIM OUT THERE.

It’s bad enough when the offense sucks out loud – and that’s an undeniable problem, but Bucs had a shot here with Houston having so many injuries on defense. They should have BOAT RACED them today.

We got a 21/30 266 2 TD performance out of Baker because he had all day to throw. ALL DAY – HE COULD HAVE MADE SANDWICHES BACK THERE. Then in the 3rd quarter the offensive power outage happened yet again allowing Houston to get back in the game and grab the momentum. By the 4th Bucs’ D was sucking big wind and Stroud caught fire.

Having said that Bucs had plenty of offense to win today – even with the 3rd quarter power outage against a depleted defense – but they give up nearly 500 yards and 5 TDs to a rookie including a 75 yard TD drive with 46 seconds left to lose.

    INEXCUSABLE.

Its time to see what we have in Trask and look to draft a QB in next year’s draft.

    ENOUGH IS ENOUGH.

    -SINCERELY

    MIKE S.
    Trask Mob President.

  114. Levitygmon34@gmail.com Says:

Oh yes, Tbbucs3 and Orly — the biggest Brady dissers of all-time (along with O’Neill) — are defending Mayfield after sh!tting all over Brady for the 3 years he was in Tampa.

Who are these morons? I mean, seriously. Do the reflect the general sentiment of Tampa Bay fans or are they just bitter confederate flag waving, SEC wonks that cannot deal with anyone from the north contributing to their team’s football success?

The fact they’re still here commenting means they weren’t just Brady haters but actually have some allegiance to the Buccaneers which surprises me.

Eff you and your ilk. You had the GOAT for 3 years and it wasn’t good enough for you. Y’all remind me of all the narcissistic sociopaths I’ve had the misfortune of dealing with over the years.

  115. Crapteam Says:

Baker showed gutts today. He just couldn’t overcome the high school offensive scheme.

  116. Levitygmon34@gmail.com Says:

Oh, I’d like to add BucsAnthem to the list….

  117. Mike S Says:

DO NOT DEFEND THE QB WHO JUST LOST 5 OF THE LAST 6 GAMES

  118. CHRISTOS Says:

We can talk about the Offense, we can talk about the Defense and an embarassing 2nd half where no Texan was covered or tackled……
But what is inexcusable is the game/clock management. Unbelievable.
You are at the 14yd line already and you have a choice of 39 seconds and a timeout or 49 seconds. And you choose to leave more time to your opponent. Seriously ?????
Why ? You only need 14 yds, 39 seconds are not enough ?
Inexcusable mistake. I can accept a drop pass, a missed tackle, a penalty. I will not be happy about it but its part of the game. I cant accept a decision lile that where you dont know how to manage the game.
Dont want to hear again about winning the Division.

  119. BigZ Says:

Penix, probably top 10. But, he’s been hurt a lot. Plus he’s a lefty. Do you really want 67 protecting his blind side?? Give up the farm to Zona for 1. JL can’t draft well anyway. We’ll get some cap relief in the coming years, so we’ll have build through FA by giving up picks. Caleb is the real deal. We need a franchise QB. When have we had one?? T9m was old, young was traded and Hugh didn’t want to pay Doug. Think about it. Where our Favre, Moon, Elway, Hurts, Mahomet?
Only thing I can come up with if Fields is released. I believe he’s a player.

  120. Rod Munch Says:

Stop saying they’ve lost 4 in a row — they’ve lost 5 of their last 6. That sounds a lot worse, because it is.

Baker getting praised for another Mike Glennon like day of 250 yards and 2 TDs, in the year 2023, like those are good numbers, is laughable.

    He stinks.

  121. Craig Says:

It’s time for the Glazers to be bold and fire the head coach at this point of the e season. A message needs to be sent to not only the coaches and staff but the players as well. We are too F!%*ING talented to be losing games late like this, to be undisciplined and sloppy. Something has got to shake and it needs to shake now DAMNIT!!!!!!

  122. LBsouth Says:

Unless Trask can play defense I do not understand the calls for him to start. Complete failure by the whole defense today. No pass rush, terrible coverage in secondary, slow LB’s. When you score 37 you are supposed to win. Bowles looks like he has checked out already so it is time to move on. The GM needs to go also with the terrible draft picks he has made the last few years. Going to be a long rebuild so let’s get started.

    ———–

No one is giving up the #1 pick for anything. Caleb is as certain of a franchise QB as there is, and there’s no more valuable thing to have in the NFL than that.

Now Arizona, if they got the pick, they’d trade away Kyler Murray – we could get him for that pick. Of course the fact Kyler Murray is going to be back and starting probably next week means Arizona won’t be picking #1 overall.

Since the Bucs play the Panthers twice, and the Panthers don’t have their top pick and no reason to tank, that means the Bucs are still very much alive for the #1 overall pick.

  127. Nprbuc Says:

“ it’s up to Bowles to dig them out…” ? You are just jerking us around right? It has been up to Bowles for a year and a half now. Exactly WHAT have you seen over that many games to even suggest that he has any answers? He is a losing coach with absolutely NO clue what is happening or how to correct it. Offense, which routinely plays beyond horrible put their heart and soul into todays game, regardless of the cowardly play calling. The Defense of Mr Guru, sucked worse than a Hoover vacuum! That’s his baby that he gets all kinds of accolades for. Who the hell annoited him a defensive Guru? I suppose it was possible that they could give up more uncontested catches and yards, but very unlikely. Pathetic doesn’t come close to describing how p!ss poor they played. Nearly every throw that we caught was contested. Nearly every throw they made, you would be surprised to see a white jersey in the screen shot. Our coaches- all of them, need to go. If they can’t teach or scheme open our receivers then WTH are we paying them? Not like we don’t have talent. It’s all on coaching. Fire them all and let Bowles tell them he is sorry. This crap show has to end. NOW. It’s embarrassing to even own any of their gear the past two years. Blow it up.

  128. Destinjohnny Says:

    We have 5 win talent
Would be like getting mad at the vandy coach for losing to bama

  129. ATrain Says:

Bucs can’t beat Houston when they are Up with 40secs left in the game YOU THINK the Bucs can beat anyone HAHA THE BUCS WIL BE A 3 win team

  130. TheBucsAnthem Says:

    Sadly

This team is WAYYYYYY too talented to have a record like this…..

    ……it’s called BAD COACHING

  131. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Wuts up with Carlton Davis today????

…….cause he was Burnt toast all day…..maybe he was injured?????

  132. Bucs'n'Bucks Says:

I’ve tried so hard to stay positive but today was pathetic!! Why would anyone purposely put time back on the clock to let the other team have time to win?!? Disgusting coaching!!

Fire the coach. Hire a local high school coach.

  133. Davenport Says:

    A) i am surprised so many guys bought into this year’s version of Bowles. Now there shouldnt be a believer left.

    B) Bowles is as good as gone but it won’t be until the end of the season.

    C) Murray is NOT an option. Doesn’t everyone remember how bad he was as a player and, how much worse he is as a leader.

    D) Caleb Williams has got issues. Ego (want a % of ownership and potential return to school. PLUS … what quarterback in history has ever crawled into the stands, curled up into his mom and cried??? How can you respect that??

  134. Tbbucs3 Says:

Rod Munch thinks Mayfield was a problem today.

Gets more obvious every week that Rod has no idea what he’s watching.

  135. TonySoprano Says:

Joe – please stop calling this team “too talented.” You’ve been using that term for far too long. Just because some of our players are highly paid or were good 3 years ago, doesn’t make them talented today.

How about an article finally pointing blame at Jason Licht for this dearth of difference makers? He hasn’t drafted a noteworthy player in 3 years. He’s overspent on lazy, selfish guys like Carlton and Dean. Licht was a dud before Brady and is proving to be a dud post-Brady.

Bowles and Canales absolutely need to be shown the door, but it’s about time some blame be shifted to the creator of this staff.

  136. Tbbucs3 Says:

    Agree Tony soprano.

Jason licht has (yet again) constructed a roster with tons of holes and no depth on it.
    – 0 excuse to let guys like Jodan Whitehead and Mike Edwards walk for Ryan Neal
    – 0 Excuse that Keyshaugn Vaughn is still on the roster let alone getting carries every week
    – Also 0 excuse for another year of no pass rush and another draft bust in Joe Tryon.

  137. Nope Says:

    Ohh lort….

  138. Mike Says:

Well the way I see it is the track record of the head coach is exactly where we are
Before preseason the HC and the OC both said trask was out preforming Mayfield and he definitely out preformed him during the preseason. Mayfield was brought in to save his career and save the HC job and the OC, the play calling is set up to bakers ability.
So that’s what we got and this is the result of that decision.
Give trask a chance he did it in college and I believe he can do it in the NFL, but they don’t want to admit they made a bad decision

  139. Rob Says:

PLEASE leave Carlton Davis III in Houston. Don’t even let him on the plane back home. He cannot cover anyone, and refuses to tackle. He is 100% terrible. Jamel Dean is only slightly sorry, but he’s made of paper. Our defensive backfield is just flat out terrible.
Also, the defensive play calling was just atrocious. To let them drive 75 yards in 40 seconds with NO pressure from the rush and ZERO coverage in the secondary is inexcusable.
    Fire Bowles!!!!!

  140. Ed Says:

Bucs have checked out. No strategy from the coaches. No responsibility for putting players in bad position. Good coaches find a way to get the ball into the best players hands. Mike Evans needs to get 10-12 targets a game. It’s malpractice to keep dumping the ball off a wasting downs on one yard runs and side way passes.

It would not surprise me if they pull a Schiano on the season and lose 8 of their last 9 games.

  141. orlbucfan Says:

What’s all this draft bloviating about? Bucs got robbed again by ref calls. Only these were blatant; Bills were not. Bowles and Canales need to have a serious chat with Licht and the Glazers. Cos the streaming radio was down, I watched the TV-sound off. Just about every time Texans got in trouble with third down, Bucs got hit with Dholding. A few were legit, the rest weren’t. As usual, ME13 got harassed. I loved the calls to White and Otton. I’ve been following this for decades. Beats following mass shootings and war.

  142. Oneilbuc Says:

Man I think some of yall are more happy that Baker Mayfield played good than the team actually winning. At the same time he’s not the future either you can’t ignore his bad play the pass 5 games either. He is average at best !! It’s time to get younger!!

  143. Les Says:

Saints will take the division now .bowles showed his true colors ! We don’t use are recievers right . We call runs at awful times .there is no attack mode ,! Bowles lost this game .it is on him !! They are so inconsistent ! Baker had time to throw and still had happy feet , you want change ? Keep the stadium empty .don’t go ,I won’t till bowles is gone !what a embarrassment !

  144. CalBucsFan Says:

Guys, USCs Williams isn’t all everyone thinks he is, too much going on between the ears & a bit too much ego.

I would rank NC’s Maye first, Wash’s Penix, Jr. second, and maybe Williams 3rd.

  145. Mark hardt Says:

The only way firing Bowles mid season makes sense is if the last coach agrees to come down from the front office and be interim coach for the remainder of the season.
