  1. A Bucs Fan Says:

I have growing confidence in Bowles/Canales combo.

  2. Craig Says:

Getting a little closer to actually having some confidence in him.

He can beat bad teams, but can he plan and rally a team to beat someone better than the Bucs?

  3. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Like I’ve been saying since day one “I’m Totally Confident” in our Head Coach Todd Bowles.

  4. Onetrickpony Says:

As long as he keeps his hands off of the offense

  5. DBS Says:

I am confident. His defense is doing well. And I don’t expect him to keep his hands totally off the offense. He is the Head Coach. That was the biggest mistake last year. If there is something wrong he needs to interact with the Offensive Coordinator.

  6. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I went from no confidence to very confident in Bowles.

Joe, can we get a similar poll for Mayfield?

  7. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I finally moved to the “confident” on Bowles………..I still am somewhat of a skeptic……..a win vs any of the 3 Det,Buffalo, SF will keep me there.

  8. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I have no complaints with Canales either at this point. The kid seems to know his stuff.

I like how he is keeping things basic until the team is ready for more. It’s working.

  9. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    My feelings thus far:

Bowles: Upgraded from No Confidence to Very Confident. He has earned it. The defense is great. The team is fighting. The players have bought in. Really, he’s doing an excellent job as head coach.

Dave Canales: Upgraded from No Confidence to Confident. He’s doing a great job, but the gameplans are still kind of basic. I think that’s by design though. A new system should gradually be implemented, so I think he is doing it right.

Baker Mayfield: Upgraded from No Confidence to Little Confidence. He’s earned that at least. If he does well against great teams (and by well I mean minimal mistakes and an average or better performance against them), then he will earn an upgrade.

Offensive Line: Upgraded from Little Confidence to Confident…and gradually getting better.

Defensive Line: Maintaining at Confident…but potentially getting an upgrade soon.

Running Game: Maintaining at Little Confidence. I do think it is on its way to improving though.

Wide Receivers: Maintaining at Very Confident.

    Secondary: Maintaining at Confident.

  10. Boss Says:

    little confidence…but there is progress

tiolet bowl is now fruit bowl……

  11. pewter941 Says:

Winning cures everything, my confidence in Bowles has never wavered though

  12. Jp09 Says:

Confident: Just like the Eagles game, Bowles and his team have a chance to prove themselves against the Lions. Win 2/3 vs the lions, bills and 9ers then I’ll be very confident. Win a playoff game this year and I’ll be totally confident

  13. Tye Says:

I see the Bucs winning IN SPITE of Bowels…..
As long as Todd stays out of the way and let those around him rack up the wins, he will look as though he is better at HC than he really is…
Just stay in his place at DC!

  14. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Well, Tye, it’s that a unique coaching philosophy – ‘winning by not coaching.’ Who knew that was the secret sauce? 😂 Maybe he’s secretly employing the ‘zen’ coaching strategy – just staying out of the way and letting the magic happen. As long as the Bucs keep racking up those Ws, we’ll just consider Bowles the mastermind behind the curtain, quietly steering the ship from the shadows

  15. Obvious Says:

I noticed that there are guys from the Aints, panters, and dirty birds voting in our poles… When you’re kicking ass the scum of the earth tend to show up….

As promised, it went from little confidence to CONFIDENT. As stated above, if he can win us one of the big 3 then I’ll leave it at confident and if he can win us 2 of the 3 it WILL Upgrade to Very Confident.

Alright Todd, let’s see what you got…

Also, I don’t “feel” premature when I say they made a mistake by only offering Canales a 1 year contract, And Should try to find a way to pole position a couple More years of a contract with him. The system IS working! Already talk of a head coach offers whether some around here believe it or not, IT A REAL POSSIBILITY!

Canales is working MAGIC with QBs and More and THAT’S ALWAYS been in “High Demand” whether the nay sayers get it isn’t important. “Highly Effective” IS RARE people and you BETTER move on opportunities while you can. Because if you dont, someone MUCH SMARTER WILL! YOU SNOOZE, YOU LOSE! “A single year contract” is a STRONG showing of NO CONFIDENCE from the head office.

I SURE HOPE there is more to it than that..

  16. Aceofaerospace Says:

If we beat the lions, I’ll be feasting on crow next week. Big if. Go Bucs!

  17. First Name Greatest Says:

Always going to be “Little Confidence” for me until I see the CB’s not play 10-15 yards off in 3rd & short distances.

Glad to be 3-1 and hope it continues but I don’t think he’s improved just after 4 games, gotta prove it to me week after week.

  18. SlyPirate Says:

100% confident Bowles will not get a loss this week, but every NFCS loss is a win for the Bucs.

  19. captivajim Says:

i am a little confident in bowles as HC

  20. Defense Rules Says:

Bonzai … ‘My feelings thus far: Bowles: Upgraded from No Confidence to Very Confident. He has earned it. The defense is great. The team is fighting. The players have bought in. Really, he’s doing an excellent job as head coach.’

Interesting reversal Bonzai, and lots of others join you in that finding that new-found confidence in Todd Bowles. This latest poll shows Bowles with a 84.66% CONFIDENT or higher rating. I won’t take the time to go back through the earlier polls, but I doubt that 20% JBFers gave him a CONFIDENT rating or higher back in the Spring.

What’s interesting to me is that Todd Bowles doesn’t really seem to have changed at all. He’s still the same excellent DC that he’s been since coming onboard in 2019. Still very much a players’ coach who the media considers to be rather stoic (?) on the sidelines. Still an excellent teacher and one who believes in letting his assistants do their jobs without micro-managing them.

What has changed IMO is that he’s building a TEAM that supports HIS vision. Not BA’s, not the media’s & not the fans. And it’s working. Not much margin for error given our youth & talent levels IMO, but it’s working nonetheless. Hopefully that continues, because fans & the media tend to be very fickle when you start losing.

  21. optimisticbucsfan Says:

3-1 has EARNED at minimum…confidence…today, right now.

    Yes.

  22. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

    @Defense Rules

    All great points.

Mayfield can win me over too, if he can prove himself to me.

  23. garro Says:

I am 12 hours ahead of the Central Time Zone and rarely get to vote on these polls as a result. But confidence level is increased for me. Still in the high end of little confidence zone though. His defense is playing lights out for the most part. Our OLBs need to step up. Vea is a monster. Diaby is looking like a keeper.

    Go Bucs!

  24. John Sinclear Says:

Amazing – same coach, same team, same players. Poll 9/5 was 39.72% confident. Today – 84.66% confident. Loyalty in here sure is consistent!
