Faster, more agile TEs.
And Rbs that are great receivers in the flats.
Mayfield is great on the move, and is good at avoiding the rush.
Our linemen and Tes are more strong- and not agile.

I told Rick Stroud already: he’s a great, insightful writer, but at times, we think he sounds like he’s just trying to appease and produce filler content. The real writing we need is deep analytical on the coaching structure of this staff. Specifically, let’s now spotlight the most responsible party here: Todd Bowles. This entire clown show is flowing from him. If Leftwich is gone, and Brady is gone, and Suh is gone, and a bunch of our standouts are gone, but our offense is identical to last year’s, and the defense’s only adjustment is to now allow receivers 15 yard boxes off the line with a zone, there is nowhere for accountability to fall than upon the HC. All we are ever going to get out of Bowles is the sideline confused smirk and a slow, deliberately inconsistent offense behind a predictable play call scheme. There’s no fire here folks. Not a good team. Good teams are good at the point if attack and set the edge. We can’t do either and have not for a long time. We have some physically weak players at those positions.
We pass pro and punt well. Passing game has its moments. All other aspects are below average. Of course the running game sucks and has for a minute. Running backs are one of the leagues worst.

I’ve seen enough of Chief Folded Arms as our coach as well as 9, 24, 90, 21, 1 and possibly 67. JL as getting close to this list. He left us without the most important position on all of sports, a QB.

If you like Trask, you do not want him starting on a short week, on the road vs an angry Buffalo team.
But he should get the nod after the Bills game for sure unless Mayfield has the game of his life on Thursday. Even if that happens, it’s just a one week hot streak so it shouldn’t change anything, but it will buy him time.

Complete loss of confidence with the offensive coordinator AND head coach.
With every game the team evolves.
Doesn’t seem to be evolving in the upward path.

Buc99 … The defense stunk today, but in the final analysis they only gave up 1 TD & 3 FGs to a team that put up one 400 yards on them. They held the line when it really counted IOW. Gave up way too many big plays however.

I agree; tired of watching Baker dink & dunk and not get anywhere with it. Without a running game, we need to be able to push the ball farther down the field. Mayfield too often looked like a deer in the headlights. Might as well see what Trask can do. And if he can’t move the team, move on down to our 3rd string QB like the 49ers did last year.
