That’s a difficult question to answer as written. Both have great value in different ways, but in 2-3 years, Evans really should be slowing down, whereas Godwin should still be in his prime.
Chris Godwin is very good, but I have a feeling that he has benefited a lot from Mike Evans being on the field. Mike Evans physical skillset means that he has to be accounted for on the field. I have no stats on this, but I would guess that ME draws more double teams the CG when both are on the field.

Evans has missed 9 games in 9 seasons. Godwin has missed at least 2 of ever season he has played. Godwin has already sustained a career threatening injury, rarely sees the other teams best pass defender when Evans is playing, and only a couple of years removed from ME13. You gotta be nuts if you think Godwin would ever be a better option than Evans past, present, or future.
Mike Evans is a superstar top tier WR, on a different level than Godwin. If you don’t know that, you’re literally an idiot.
Godwin is a great franchise level player, really really good – but he’s at the Mark Carrier level in terms of the history of the franchise (BTW, if you’re a moron who doesn’t know the team history, that is not a knock), but Evans is an all-time great WR. Those are two different level players.
