Of all the Buc teams over the years, good and bad, this one shows no real signs of how good or bad they could be…and that’s before injuries and weird bounces of the ball are taken into account.
I could argue that they have outstanding potential on the upside, or they could easily crash and burn big ugly.

As I have said several times, the Glazers’ have boxed themselves into a corner again. We fans face more mediocrity, instability and indecision. They simply don’t know how to build a winner but they can certainly make a buck. Stadium issues aside Tampa Bay has a winning baseball team in spite of the difficulties they face. We have a great hockey team that looks to be at least a solid winner for the near future. We have a football team that will flash in the pan maybe once every couple of decades but will otherwise be mired in mediocrity at best.

The Glazers’ can only see the present not the long term. It seems their decision making is not well thought out and purely reactionary.

So actually Ira thinks Tank Mayfield will project out more or less what I think he’s going to project out as – only with less INTs.
I project the same exact numbers 23 TDs, 3500 yards – but with 15 INTs
Unless the Bucs are a top 10 rushing team and a top 10 defense – that will get the Bucs 6-11 or 7-10.
As I have been saying since the very beginning – if that’s what Mayfield is bringing there is zero reason to start him over Trask.

I may be wrong but I think you are underestimating Mayfield & the Bucs. I’m going with 9-8. Maybe even 10-7
