Mayfield Good; Trask Bad

August 11th, 2023

Rough start for QB Kyle Trask.

Starting quarterback Baker Mayfield won over a lot of fans in the first half of tonight’s preseason opener while competing Kyle Trask lost a share.

The bright lights came on against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Mayfield, playing without Mike Evans, Chris Godwin, Rachaad White, Tristan Wirfs and Ryan Jensen, went 8-for-9 for 63 yards with a gorgeous touchdown pass to rookie receiver Trey Palmer in roughly 1 1/2 quarters.

Kyle Trask came in and was 3-for-5 for 29 yards to finish the half before the home crowd, including an ugly third-down interception at midfield.

Head coach Todd Bowles praised Mayfield at halftime on the WFLA-TV broadcast for how he managed the offense and made good decisions.

“He did a good job controllling the game,” Bowles said, noting that’s what he looks for most this time of year.

“Heck of a throw on the touchdown,,” Bowles added praising Mayfield’s touch.

Trask played most of the third quarter and finished the game 6-for-10 for 99 yards, big yards-after-catch runs by David Moore and Kaylon Geiger helped pump up his stats. Trask also ate three sacks. Maybe one could have been avoided.

    Idk about good.

Trask, definitely bad. The drop doesn’t help and it was a bad read on the pick

  2. Drunkinybor Says:

I know it’s preseason but the running game ouch. 15 carries for 32 yards is horrible. 2.1 yards a carry 🤢

  3. TheBucsAnthem Says:

Nothing new to see here folks…..now move along

  4. buccanstopit Says:

Wow, this site loves 1st pick NFL QB failures. First Winston, now Mayfield. Can’t wait to jump on Trask when his receivers are dropping passes. Cut Kieft

  5. Bucsfan13 Says:

Folks, Brady knew Mayfield was the better option. He’s a Mayfield fan, and he’s watched Trask in practice.

  6. Robert Says:

Trask is a joke. Todd Bowles is a joke. This team won’t win 6 games.

  7. SOEbuc Says:

I’m not able to watch the game. Wondering what Mauch and Goedeke are looking like, even though there is no Jensen and Wirfs?

  8. Marine Buc Says:

    @ JOE

    I agree.

Mayfield won this round. Trask made some nice throws and did look more mobile…

Now let’s wait and see what Trask does playing with the first string next week against the Jets.

  9. Marine Buc Says:

Also – Ko Kieft really crapped the bed.

    Come on dude!!!

    Catch the freaking ball!!!!!

  10. All_da_way Says:

Trask made some nice crisp throws but you have to live for another day on third and longs. Can’t make that forced throw on that side of the field.

Mayfield managed the ball better by throwing it around the field.

Mayfield has the edge game 1.

  11. Vegasbuccaneer Says:

And with the number one pick the Bucs go quarterback

  12. Bucsfan13 Says:

    Goedeke is awful!

  13. Defense Rules Says:

Thus far I’ve been impressed with Mayfield, Palmer & Edmonds. The rest? Meh. It’s obvious that our starters better stay healthy, because our depth is shaky.

  14. IrishTony Says:

Trask is not going to start next week. Folks be real he isn’t an NFL worthy QB. Every time he plays a real game against a real team he struggles.

  15. BA’s Red Pen Says:

lol Marine Buc, which “first string,” players did Baker have tonight?

  16. View from 132 Says:

The team looks terrible, but it is preseason week one. Baker fans will overreact. He’s mediocre at best.

  17. Mike Johnson Says:

Tank or not. Get ready for a long season. Six wins will be primo for these guys.

  18. HC Grover Says:

Bowles new book. ‘How not to win’.

  19. KE Says:

We might have to fix the whole right side of OLINE. Luke definitely ain’t it.

  20. BucsFan81 Says:

If Baker is going to start the regular season wouldn’t it make more sense for him to start against the Jets in pre season if we are playing starters. The more reps he has with Evans and Godwin and the offensive line the better since they haven’t played any regular season games together.

  21. IrishTony Says:

Trask is slow to read, he’s slow footed and he struggles under pressure. How is that possible in this offense? I bet Wolford excels.

  22. Toad Bowels Says:

    There’s been a slaughter here!

    I could see this team going 0 – 17

  23. TheBucsAnthem Says:

I totally won’t waste my Sundays watching these Bucs stink it up.

If they win more than 5 games…then I’ll be impressed

  24. KE Says:

Our best QB is the 3RD string guy

  25. David Says:

    Horrible defense.
Let’s see the game plan: Have Baker to dink and dunk and have Kyle play to throw long passes who has no time to throw with bad OL to second stringer receivers who keep dropping passes.

Why would you have your qb injured in a meaningless pre season game to throw 20 plus yards on the third and long to get intercepted.

  26. ScottyMack Says:

Marine Buc wrote: “Now let’s wait and see what Trask does playing with the first string next week against the Jets.”

Well, it would be nice to see Mayfield get the chance to play with the #1s, too – something he didn’t get a chance to do in this first pre-season game.

For those who are already spewing doom and gloom, practically none of the Bucs starters played in this game. Not much to judge the team by IMHO.

  27. David Says:

Trask had the most exciting throws with 100 yards just on 10 attempts with 60% completions. Just imagine if you give him a better OL to throw to Mike E. and Chris G.

  28. Marine Buc Says:

    @ DR

    Edmonds… LOL.

I guess you didn’t see his amazing pass blocking ability.

    That was BRUTAL…

  29. c-spann Says:

Goedeke is trash. We need another RT ASAP!

  30. Anonymous Says:

Forget a QB competition why the hell was the worst offensive linemen in football just handed the RT job when he is getting beaten by THIRD STRINGERS!

  31. Dave Pear Says:

“Let’s see what we’ve got with Kyle Trask.” LOL. Meh. Preseason. Nothing to see here actually, just hilarious that mister Trask showed his growth to Buc fans. Hopefully the growth isn’t malignant.

  32. NCBucfan Says:

Baker impressed me tonight. Goedke could be a real problem for us! I wasn’t a huge Baker fan, but he looks a lot more composed than I’ve seen. I know, it’s preseason, but just color me hopeful. If goedke struggles next week, it may be time to look at another option at RT.

  33. orlbucfan Says:

Look and sounded like a typical Bucs preseason game. Not sure why Bucs got the lion’s share of the penalties. Some were legit; some weren’t. Steelers did a lot of holding and weren’t called. Typical but again it is preseason.

  34. Odessa Bebe Says:

    Goedeke frkn sucks. Period punto!

  35. Knucknbuc Says:

Lol baker throws for about 70 yards and the joes rejoice trying to rub it in lol. What they really should be focused on isn’t the mediocre qbs. It should be the dropsies, penalties, Right side of oline getting worked by 3rd stringers, bad tackling etc etc.

  36. 1#bucsfan Says:

Trask didn’t have time to throw look at his jersey. Bin getting sacked and pressured all night. He threw a bad pick. More concerned with our offensive line.

  37. Marine Buc Says:

    @ ScottyMack

    You are correct.

We had a ton of starters on both sides of the ball out of the game…

I still am curious what Trask will do playing with our starters next week.

    He made one bad throw.

But props to Mayfield – he played great.

  38. orlbucfan Says:

Let’s get through all of preseason before calling it on the QBs including you joes. Will Gholston had a good night which is no surprise. Glad he’s back.

  39. Tampa 95 Says:

Damn wolford better then trask 😂 he won a playoff game at seatlle against russ in 2020 too slide wolford too 2 trask look lost out there tonight

  40. Toad Bowels Says:

Luke “the Ragdoll” Goedecke got manhandled all day. In the words of Mr T, I pity the fool.

Can we bring back Donovan Smith …..now… Please!

This is a child being manhandled by men…. Goedecke needs to go back to the weight room for another couple of years. Ditto forn new RG Cody Mauch. Maybe Goedecke can move to RGn and Hainsey could play RT, or Stinnie…. Or Donovan Smith.

This game has been a real mispatch and the Steelers have had their way with the offensive line. If I recall the NFL odds word that the Bucs would win four games. Without some new offensive line play take the under. This is truly pathetic!!! I wonder if Donald Penn could have unretire.

  41. David Says:

    Joe says;
Starting quarterback Baker Mayfield won over a lot of fans in the first half of tonight’s preseason opener while competing Kyle Trask lost a share”.

    Joe,
Baker won over a lot of fans???? How did you know that ? Easy this was no super bowl and Baker is no Tom B. He threw to a Steeler defense without many of their starters.
Also he left the game with a losing score of 14-7 .

  42. Marine Buc Says:

    @ DR

I would say Sean Tucker looks like our RB2 this season…

  43. HC Grover Says:

The only good thing is that the season has begun.

  44. Oviedo Jim Says:

Has anyone seen Bowels engage in conversation.with anyone (himself included) tonight?

  45. David Says:

So Trask had more explosive throws except one bad throw on a third and long. There is no reason even playing Baker to start with. We all know who Bake is. A back up abd a loser. Trask should get game time experience with the starters.

  46. Dreambig Says:

15 starters not playing tonight. Translation: This game is not important, its 1st preseaon. 2nd Translation, Bowles thoughts, winning is not contagious, I’ll worry about trying to win once the season starts. Translation: Pittsburg Stealers, man this team is not even trying, let’s kick their week ass and build some momentum to go into the season.

  47. tampabuscsbro Says:

WE ARE BACK TO THE DAYS OF THE OFFENSIVE OFFENSIVE LINE BABY!!!

  48. Knucknbuc Says:

Aaron stinnie and Brandon Walton should start hopefully Jason isn’t to proud to admit mauch isn’t ready yet (shades of kappas rookie year) and goedeke is just straight up looking like a bust

  49. HC Grover Says:

    The Bowles Curse begins.

  50. Mr. Editor Says:

Tucker good; Vaughn bad. Vaughn is playing his way out of a job. Gutless performance on those short yardage situations.

  51. Patrick Says:

Apparently, DAVID loves him some Kyle Trask! Don’tcha David? Lol

  52. LANshark Says:

Considering that almost none of the offense’s big weapons and starting O-line played, I thought Mayfield looked good. No 1st RB, no 1st or 2nd WR, no 1st LT. Still did a good job, within what he was asked to do. And the TD pass was perfect

  53. Tbbucs3 Says:

QB1 Mayfield looked sharp!!!! But Canales has got to this the penalties under control.

Havent started reading the Trask excuses yet but im sure theres plenty of them.

  54. Mike S Says:

    Knuck – its comical.

Baker played about as good as Baker can play tonight. Crisp clean quick efficient – lol 64 yards passing.

    Captain Checkdown.

Trask under siege “looks bad” still throws for 30% more yards.

It will matter little who wins the QB battle – something needs to be done about this offensive line. Penalties and just getting flat out beat.

Egads was that a poor showing.

Honestly though Baker did control the game because when you have a garbage offensive line those quick hitters to backs look better than a drop back QB getting hit on every play.

  55. Dreambig Says:

Did you ever play any sport or game and purposely try to not compete? Basketball, football, soccer, racquette ball …. Board games, life, monopolli, work situations? Unless you’re playing children or people who can not possibly beat you, you compete. The same mentality that tells Todd, this doesnt mean anything is the same mentality that will run him out of the league as a head coach. You play to win always. Otherwise those you lead will decide it’s not that important to them either and the team will not turn it on when all of the sudden you decide it’s important. That is not how leadership works.

  56. RagingBrisket Says:

    Mayfield good; Trask bad??
    Reductive stupidity.
How about nothing good; oline talent bad?

  57. ExBrownsFan Says:

It’s ok to say Baker is more of a gamer than Trask. Is he the long-term answer, that’s to be seen. O line, running game, and pass D are more of a concern right now… 🤢

  58. Oneilbuc Says:

Joe. You knew Baker Mayfield was going to be the starter anyway so they gave him more easy throws than Trask. We are tanking anyway so this is a wasted season. And yet this franchise has destroyed another quarterback lol 🤣 and next year who ever they draft they will destroy him next!! They lied to us about being a quarterback competition !! They are going to set Trask up to fail just like BA did Jamies. Just go back and look at the different plays for Brady when he had 8 picks in 4 games and how they told Jamies to keep slanging it. This is a losing franchise and they will always be a losing franchise!! Lol 🤣🤣

  59. Tbbucs3 Says:

Agree with IrishTony that Trask has slow footwork and seems to struggle with pressure….what tonight proved that Baker is the clear starting quarterback, Trask is still a project (3 years in) and Wolford is a keeper.

  60. Mike C Says:

Wow….. what a bunch of cry babies on here lol

  61. ATLBuc Says:

Mayfield looked okay. Trask looked better by a wide margin. He had many dropped passes and an awful O-line and still threw for 100 yards in just over a quarter. Trask will average over 400 yards per game!!!

  62. All_da_way Says:

Ronde Barber says that Mayfield is the player of the game with the Bucs telecast. Could have gone to Palmer though.

Agree with IrishTony that Trask has slow footwork and seems to struggle with pressure

Trask stood tall in the pocket and had excellent footwork. patience and poise.

  64. Lakeland Steve Says:

I am worried about the O-line. The right side of the line got pushed around tonight. Way too many penalties. You would think that you had all of OTA’s and training camp but our receivers don’t know how to line up without getting a penalty? Can’t completely right this team off ion the first preseason game but if we don’t make some dramatic improvements on the O-line quickly, we are in trouble. We may end up with a top 5 draft pick and a new head coach if they don’t get that figured out.

  65. Eric Says:

Teddy Bridgewater I mean check down Charlie I am
Sorry I mean Baker Mayfield blah blah blah only one NFL level throw that the WR made a fabulous catch don’t understand the hate for trask did you see Luke was like a swinging gate!

  66. Crickett Baker Says:

The penalties were unbelievable-over 100 yards. Wolford was the best QB but it wouldn’t have mattered if we had Brady back. The offense still stinks, esp. 3rd down.

  67. Tbbucs3 Says:

    ATLBuc= Trask propagandist

  68. Dave Pear Says:

    Warren Sapp was so right.

  69. I’m tired and 87 is right Says:

Our best bet is winning the superbowl of the draft which is the number 1 overall pick. Let’s be real folks we could blow this season with an 8-9 record and end up garbage for the next decade. Or we suck one season for potentially a game changer at QB for the next decade. Let’s not screw this up. Go Bucs!

  70. Stormy Says:

Trask should be third string after tonight. Awful. This guy’s upside is Mike Glennon.

  71. Capt.Tim Says:

    Mayfield good. Trask bad.
    No kidding.
Mayfield can be good NFL QB.
Trask seems like a nice guy- but will never be a successful NFL QB.
Ive said it since we drafted Trask, and nothing has changed.
Except a few gator fans, dreaming the impossible dream.

    The can win with Mayfield.
But not with Todd Bowles. He will hamstring the team all year.
    Gonna be a long Seson

  72. David Says:

    You Trask haters.
Have you seen Trask playing with the starters a few games before you judge him ? Even Todd B. said Trask did well except one throw while he drove the ball down the field only to come back with penalties.

  73. Rod Munch Says:

Mayfield throwing a 3 yard pass on 3rd and 18, is what you get with that loser – but hey, it makes the completion percentage look good on the stat sheet, and that’s what is really important.

As for Trask, I don’t really care too much about the results, what I liked was that he finally looked like an NFL QB to me. I didn’t watch him thinking he’s aiming the ball, trying not to screw up, and instead looked like a guy that can play. Doesn’t mean he can, but at least he cleared that bar. Hopefully they stick with starting him next week, I want to see what he can do with better guys around him. But, regardless of the stat sheet, I thought his play was encouraging.

  74. David Says:

I feel so bad for you Baker’s fans whom still following this garbage qb. Now bragging about Baker throwing a TD against Steelers mostly second string defenders.
Trask had 100 yards of explosive passing just in a quarter and a half with second stringers.

Baker = checkdown Charlie. 9 completions for 63 yards?? That’s about 7 yards per reception. We can’t win with that!!

  76. Florida Bred, Texas Fed Says:

I saw some good things from Baker, but he was already a STARTING QB for FOUR YEARS….And it was neck and neck(according to camp). So how am I really supposed to analyze this performance??

I saw some good things from Trask as well. The interception I’m gonna give 50-50 to as he was forced into needing a chunk play. Those are the most common of interception scenarios. Who I RALLY blame is Luke Goedeke…I mean BROOO…how much did Baker pay you to throw your protection EVERY TIME?? Goedeke single handedly lost this game, and made Trask look bad, when I saw nothing to back this up(besides the aforementioned int). It honestly pissed me off because how are they going to guage a qb battle whilst also experimenting with Goedeke at right tackle? Utter nonsense.

  77. WyomingJoe Says:

Most of you “fans” can’t give any credit to Mayfield. He has great touch as the TD to Palmer proved. Baker also had a 20+ yard pass dropped, and he was under pressure too, but he’s more mobile than Trask. Wait, didn’t Trask have an INT? OMG! He almost had two. Didn’t like the 3 straight running plays to start the game. Looks like the fix is in for Trask, lol. On to the Jets…

    —————-

First, you’re correct, ATL is a Trask fanboi and an annoying d-bag. Other than insulting him, I wouldn’t waste my time.

As for Mayfield – that 3rd and 18, throwing a 3 yard pass, that stuff just drives me insane. Not giving your guys a chance is just indefensible. It wouldn’t be that big of an issue at this point other than this is what he’s been doing the last two years when I go back and watch his tape. All the time on 3rd and long, he’s making some garbage 3 yard throw and not even attempting to go downfield, even when he had guys open. That’s just a guy padding their QB-rating stat, not trying to win games. That’s a big thing to monitor going forward, to see if it keeps happening or is just a one off. Otherwise he was OK, didn’t really stand out but outplayed Trask.

As for Trask, as I said above, I was encouraged. To me, it was more like a spring training pitcher, I just wanted to see Trask throw with NFL velocity, and look comfortable doing it, and I wasn’t too worried about the results. He did all that, and I think he still might have an NFL career because of it.

Trask held onto the ball too long, got sacked 3x. Baker played within the offense. He missed ONE throw. I’ll take that over 3 sacks and a pick

Pitt’s D Line were in the backfield all night. Trask was twisting like a contortionist just get into a throwing position.

  84. Since76 Says:

Sorry but sounds like all those numbers are horrible. 63 yards on 8 completions? Can’t be right. Running 2 yards a carry. Trask with int. At least he had 95 yards on 6 completions. Final grade for canales offense. F+

  85. Give it a Rest, Trask Bridge Says:

    Mayfield Passer Rating 130ish

    Wolford Passer Rating 90ish

    Trask Passer Rating 50ish

    QB3

    Same order.

  86. Obvious Says:

    SO WHAT HAPPENED?

Fro. What I heard, It WAS Mayfield’s night. HE TOOK BETTER CARE OF THE BALL. No matter what, that’s a Fact tonight. He did good. And Trask cleaned it up best he could. HE “WAS” SACKED 3 FREAKING TIMES! How long was he in there for? A quarter? A little more? I didn’t get to watch. BUT I HEARD “SOME” OF THE GAME!

**** I Keep hearing GEODEKE’s name! What did we end up with 122 PENALTY YARDS!??? Who was getting pushed around? All of them? A couple of them? If someone actually reads my post, please tell me what happened (best you can) to the players on our O Line. Was ANYBODY any good? ****

We HAVE problems folks. From hearing Geoxeke’s name so much, I think I Might have to go seek mental help like OTHERS that play on the O line! And I wasn’t able to hear it all! I’m wondering what I missed?! Speaking of which, I didn’t hear Wirfs name.. In fact now that’s I think about it, I didn’t hear ANY first stringers name.

I’m afraid after what I heard, that I’m gonna have to Dust Off the “The Mini Bar”!

AND I HAVEN’T REALLY EVEN HEARD THE WHOLE STORY YET!

HEY but at least we Moved the ball a little and I did hear a couple names I was hoping to hear… WELL, In a good way I mean

  87. Oneilbuc Says:

To all of you guys who keep saying we can win with Baker Mayfield stop lieing the your selfs. If that was true he wouldn’t be on his 4th team in 6 years and this has never been a quarterback competition so please stop saying competition. So I will watch about 3 to 4 games this year and after we go 1-3 or 0-4 I will be done with the season. Baker Mayfield is trash and the crazy part about it is I used to root for him because the media hated him but after last year I was done.

  88. Steelers fan Says:

The veteran clearly got the upper hand based on the box score results, but Trask’s ability to push the ball further down the field could wind up being a better fit in an offense featuring a talented receiver duo of Mike Evans and Chris Godwin. Trask will get an opportunity to even the score when he starts against the Jets on Aug. 18

Exactly one Joe like to be the shock blogger of Tampa Bay, he know Baker performance was fools gold, all short passes I don’t think by definition he made one intermediate throw but he played good lol!

  90. bob in valrico Says:

First preseason game and it looked like the third preseason game of previous
years with almost no starters. Ya Ya,Tucker and the WR’s playing for roster spots did pretty well.
I want to see both Mayfield and Trask drop back for the same drop back plays
to compare them. I didn’t see Mayfield drop back for the same longer developing
plays as Canales called for Trask. The O Line did him no favors and Mayfield’s
scrambling ability may be a necessity if our O line plays like this in the regular season.

  91. BuccaneroJim Says:

Traveling and missed the show, but last nights performance sounds familiar… even the greatest QB can’t succeed without a serviceable O-line, we proved that last year. Expecting any of the QBs RBs or receivers to save the day is not going to happen. And add penalties to boot.

  92. ScottyMack Says:

Hilarious that there are so many people with such strong opinions about a preseason game where only 3 actual named starters (on both sides of the ball, combined), played.

  93. Craig Says:

One good play. maybe even a lucky one, does not make Duh Baker good

One bad play does not make Trask bad.

Baker went straight backwards for three series.

Trask was 6 of 10 for 99 yards. That is after counting the three sacks, because the line probably would have been better if they gone out for a coffee break and a movie.

  94. ScottyMack Says:

Craig says: “Baker went straight backwards for three series.”

    Lets see …

Series #1: Three straight runs called by Canales for a three and out – can’t blame Baker for that. Penalty on offense on 4th down leads to punt. Total yards after penalty – 4 yards (not “backwards”).

Series 2: Bucs get first down. Next set of downs has a Bucs penalty, a Vaughn run for -1 yards followed by a Thompkins run for 8 and another penalty on Bucs. On third and 18, Mayfield hits Thompkins for 8 yards. I guess he should have forced one like Trask did for an INT on third and long. Know when to hold ’em, know when to fold ’em! Total drive 8 yards (again, not backwards)

Series 3: Mayfield leads Bucs on a 9 play, 59 yard drive TD drive.

And, I’ll throw in a bonus here – Mayfield’s 4th and final time leading the second stringers on offense …

Series 4: Mayfield hits Palmer for 19 yards but Palmer is called for offensive interference. Vaughn loses a yard rushing before Mayfield hits Geiger for a 20 yard completion. Vugh rushes for no gain on third down and then Vaughn loses 3 yards on 4th down. Turnover on downs due to our continued anemic rushing attack (Vaughn looking truly unspectacular as he has his entire career). Total drive – 9 yards.

Do we have different definitions of “backwards”?

Are you really going to fault Mayfield for these drives?

This game was a classic Todd Bowles as Head Coach game. Bucs score only 17 points. ?Bucs offense can’t pick up 1 yd when they need to. Penalties, penalties, penalties… Some negating big plays. Bucs defense gives up too many points. Bucs defense has trouble tackling. Bucs defense shows lack of lane discipline. Bucs defense has trouble getting off the field.

It is scary to me that this is the exact scenario of about 12 games last season. I guess some things never change.

I know the Bucs only started a couple of starters while the Steelers fielded more. I thought BM played well. And the offense looks more intriguing.

It’s time for the Bucs Coaches to DEMAND more discipline in the on field play. Most good teams are very disciplined!! The Bucs under TB, not so much! All the penalties last season killed offensive drives and negated many big defensive plays. This pre season game could be a teaching tool!!!! But only if the coaches choose to make it!!! Imo.

Incidentally, it seems that some people here are inferring that Trask did not get to play that much. All three Bucs QBs had exactly the same number of drives (4 apiece) and the only two starters for any of the three were Mauch and Goedeke.

Funny thing…I’m not at all worried.

    Hey Bob in Valrico,

Thanks for the essentials.. After reading on through the night it came a little more visual for me but thanks for the insight.

So one pick on a 3rd and 19 means Trask played bad lol 🤣🤣 that’s crazy. Baker Mayfield threw a 3 yard pass on third in 15 I think was a good decision for many of y’all lol 🤣🤣 he didn’t even try to make the first down .

Actually, Mayfield threw an 8 yard pass on third and 18 and the team lived to play another set of downs just 4 plays later after the Steelers 3 and out. Trask, on the other hand, tried to force one in the identical situation (3rd and 19) and it got picked.

Not really trying to trash anyone here, but here are the QB ratings after the game:

    Mayfield: 132.9
    Wolford: 97.9
    Trask: 53.7

You’re saying Trask trying to force a pass on 3rd and 19 and throwing an interception is better than Mayfield not throwing and INT and instead taking the short yardage gain and punting on 4th down? When Baker left the game it was tied 7/7 because he didn’t make stupid plays like you wanted him to do and turn the ball over. Now you’re here crying about it because Baker played smart and didn’t try to force it, while you praise Trask for getting picked off. What a joke! 😂😂😂

Also keep in mind that Baker was playing against many Steelers starters on D and Kyle was not.
