Bucs sacks king Shaq Barrett isn’t interested in the noise some are making about Tampa Bay taking a step backward without Tom Brady.
Shaq jacked up the pitch in his voice a couple of octaves when responding to a question to Joe about the Bucs prospects this season. While some teammates feel they’ve got a chip on their shoulder because the media thinks the Bucs will struggle, Shaq said he’s just looking at who is on the roster and what he sees in practice.
“Man, I think we’re going to be good,” Shaq exclaimed. “I think the sky is going to be the limit for us. Every year I come in expecting to get into the playoffs and once you get there, you gotta get hot at the right time. I think we most definitely have a great chance to win the NFC South. This is a good team.”
In past seasons, Shaq has come out with big personal goals, including Defensive Player of the Year.
For 2023, he said he has two major personal goals: stay healthy and make at least one impact play in every game. Seventeen sacks would be nice, Shaq said, but he’s more focused on impact plays that would include forced fumbles and tackles for loss.

I might be crazy but I put 5c on the Bucs to win more than 6.5 games and 5c on them to take the South (5.5 odds).

I think we will have multiple edge-rushers excel this year especially if the interior line is as dominant as they are capable of being.

I absolutely wouldn’t take the line on 6.5 wins … but if you’re getting 5.5-to-1 odds on winning the South, that is something I’d put some money. I haven’t checked the odds lately, but I didn’t realize they were that good, I thought it would still be around 3-to-1. I might have to go visit my bookie site and put some money down. I don’t have a lot of faith in the Bucs, but at those odds in a really bad division…

We Have The Talent up front on the Defensive line… I believe we just need to learn how to Rush the QB instead of just running up the field and making no type of contact with the QB

Simple” his little girl motivates him. Shaq is on a mission, I think he is going to do really well this season and he is going to dedicate it to his Daughter.
