Whatever happens with the first six rounds, pick 252 for the Bucs should be Stetson Bennet.

Draft Lucas Van Ness and Jahmyr Gibbs, trade Devin White for Aaron Rodgers, and we win another super bowl

The talk about why they haven’t locked in WIrfs as either on the right or left already is absurd… How about a big DUH, they’re waiting to see if they’re able to draft a LT they think can come in and start out of the gate. Why you guys even had to discuss the obvious is beyond me.
Also, the idea that Ira thinks there’s no chance they pick an ILB in the first 3 rounds is pretty dumb. It may not be a 1a or 1b position in terms of priority, but ya know, sometimes the board doesn’t play out in a way where you can get the 1a and 1b priorities. Also, they may feel the position needs an injection of talent anyway because who the hell do we have behind our current starters?
Seriously, in this draft I could seen some surprises on day 1 and 2. One thing I agree we could see is multiple trade-downs to acquire more picks.
Given all our needs I’m praying the rumor that we might target Bijan Robinson at 19 is wrong. I’m not sure the impact of a great running back makes up for gaping holes at tackle, edge rusher when perfectly good backs can be taken later.

Last year Licht got cute, traded down and we got Logan Whatshisname. The invisible man. Pick a good player at 19, Jason.

Yes, trade down, get an extra 5th rounder and grab Stetson Bennett.
I have hopes for Trask, none for Mayfly, and we need someone in case of injury.
Bowles will be picking mostly defensive guys, but a new O tackle would be great.

The Bucs weren’t the only team who rated Hall highly, and he can’t be counted out after a rookie year adjusting to the NFL. The trade down wasn’t the issue. The problem was they needed to draft a DL and probably overdrafted Hall a little bit based on his college competition and tweener status. None of that means he won’t be a good player. They picked him as a projection based on where he could be in 2 years, not as a rookie. No one questions his athleticism.
Trading down makes a lot of sense if you have lots of needs to fill.

No to Bennett. He’s an entitled piece of sh!te, in addition to being a poor prospect.

“Seriously, in this draft I could seen some surprises on day 1 and 2. One thing I agree we could see is multiple trade-downs to acquire more picks.“
One surprise should be what our draft team gives up to recoup our 4th round selection. As it stands I think our last pick on day 2 is 82nd overall and after that our next pick isn’t until the 5th rd around 150th-153rd overall, that’s a rather large gap and crazy amount of talent that’ll be off the board between those picks. That’s a long wait for Licht and the team to watch players on their draft board go elsewhere. First draft in a long time no one position is off the board and it helps we’ve got 9 total selections, but the question is how Will Licht work them.

I heard N.E. wants to get rid of Trent Brown, you know who likes to trade with the Patriots for olinemen…

I LOVE trading down this year. Round 2 is where it’s at this year. If we could parlay our first round pick and Devin White into 4 2nd round picks we would in paradise. LB Jack Campbell (don’t sleep on him going 19 overall) maybe Trenton Simpson, TE Michael Mayer or Darnell Washington, NCB Clark Philips or Emmanuel Forbes, OT Matt Bergeron or Cody Mauch (he has a chance at RT, otherwise he’s an above average guard), WR/KR Trey Palmer, RB Jahmyr Gibbs, QB Hendon Hooker, DE BJ Ojulari

Not to mention DT Siaka Ika, WR Marvin Mims, TE Same Laporta…
Round 2 baby, gotta duplicate our assets there.

Holy cow. I commented before listening and you all spoke on the exact same things I mentioned. 4 picks in round 2, value is round 2 this year, return man is in Lichts own alma mater. trey palmer
