New Bucs rookie defensive tackle Calijah Kancey
The trash talking has begun.
Yes, it was mild and a little playful, but a clear message was sent. And Joe enjoyed it.
Speaking on WDAE radio today, new Bucs defensive tackle Calijah Kancey was asked about facing No. 1 overall pick quarterback Bryce Young twice a year against the Carolina Panthers.
Kancey quickly issued a correction order to the host. “Bryce Young has to see me two times a year,” Kancey said.
Fun stuff.
If the freakishly quick Kancey is the real deal, the Bucs will have one of the more unique defensive tackle duos in history. Again, it’s a big “if” with Kancey. But rest assured Vita Vea will have sweet dreams tonight.

Licht has an automatic pass for 2023. He currently has the only headcoich in the NFL working on a 4 consecutive season losing streak. Solid draft for Licht. Keep stocking the lines with premium picks until you succeed. Both lines are in transition, but there is talent there to succeed. With a 17 game season of attrition each of these young cats will get a chance.
