Tristan Wirfs Vows To Play On Christmas

December 22nd, 2022

Celebrated.

It appears All-Pro right tackle Tristan Wirfs will give Bucs fans (and Tom Brady) an early Christmas present.

Wirfs, speaking at One Buc Palace, apparently told the local pen and mic club that even though he won’t be 100 percent until this spring, he’s going to take the field at the Birdcage in Arizona on Christmas night against the Cardinals.

Of course, Wirfs is recovering from a high ankle sprain he suffered against the Browns when Bucs coach Todd Bowles stupidly took the ball out of Brady’s hands and decided it was smart to play for overtime.

In that extra quarter of football, Wirfs suffered his high ankle sprain (and so too did Antoine Winfield).

Wirfs hasn’t played since.

Don’t rush back please………especially for this stinker on xmas…..

  2. captivajim Says:

I’d keep him out until & IF we get into the playoffs….. far more important to have him against Dallas than against Cards…

  3. Faspro Says:

    Nah, he ain’t gonna play.

  4. gbobucsfan Says:

    smokescreen, cooler heads will prevail

  5. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Sit out until your ready…..but not till March……the Panther game would be a good return.

  6. kgh4life Says:

If Tristan actually plays, the Bucs will put up 40pts. Last week, we actually saw Leftwich call a good game in the 1st half. Whatever it is keep it up.

  7. Mike Johnson Says:

Don’t rush back. But I want to remind you all, The AZ Cardinals are not as easy pickings as you might think they are. They blitz a lot and they are very fast. And there running game is much better than ours.Plus they have that snakebite which we are not immune to. That snakebite is called, BACKUP QB. All hands-on deck baby!

  8. Goatfarmer Says:

As long as the lunatic Bowels and the imbecile Leftwich are steering the ship towards the iceberg, it won’t matter. Those two doofasauruses will find to lose every game.

  9. Manny Says:

I kno people are saying dont rush back but at this point every win counts. We need him and it seems to me any damn qb can beat us. I would be afraid if arch manning was playing us sunday and hes in highschool. So we need our only probowler on the field. Damn imagine if our oline was full of five tristan wirfs. We would be undefeated

  10. Bojim Says:

Leave him out in case we make the playoffs.

  11. Jeff Says:

Yawn…Yucs lose to the Cardinals. 20-10.

  12. Goatfarmer Says:

    Cads 27 Bucs 6

  13. Winny Testaverde Says:

Hats off to Wirfs for his competitive spirit ( Joe featured what he did following the win over the Saints at home ) and desire. He will be one of the few keepers moving forward when the roster is torn down. I agree with others like The Hot Rod Mulch who declare next season a tank/reset season, however. Recalibrate the cap and get a top 3 pick with Dumber & Dumber (Bowels and Lefty in case that isn’t obvious ) completing their kamikaze mission.

  14. Hodad Says:

Stay home for xmas young man, you have your whole future in front of you. Don’t do more damage to your ankle for this years sorry buc team.

  15. Goatfarmer Says:

I like the coach reference Winny, but it’s actually Dumbest and Dumbester.

  16. BigMacAttack Says:

That would be a desperate bonehead move to play Wirfs this soon. If big if you make the playoffs by a stroke of luck, then maybe consider letting him play. Wells hasn’t done a terrible job. You can always use tight ends to help the O line.

  17. Beej Says:

Josh Wells is hurt too, as is Donnie. There’s like one more tackle on the team

  18. D-Rok Says:

I applaud the young man’s dedication to his team, but I really hope he heals up proper. Any smart coach would hold him out until he’s healthy, but then, I’m not sure we have smart coaches. If they play him not healthy, they are imbeciles.

Then I got to thinking what exactly IS an imbecile, and how smart are they? So I looked it up, and judge for yourself if the definition fits:

What is the IQ level of an imbecile?
It originally referred to people of the second order in a former and discarded classification of intellectual disability, with a mental age of three to seven years and an IQ of 25–50, above “idiot” (IQ below 25) and below “moron” (IQ of 51–70).

  19. Winny Testaverde Says:

Watching this all play out proves the theory that Arians is/was the man. He saved Little Brother Licht’s arse by agreeing to come to Tampa ( remember..Licht was know as a Licht Weight with a worse record than Dominik before Arians came to town). He publicly stumped for Tom Brady ( with an assist from Joe asking the question…we need more Joes and fewer Jenna Lame reporter types ) and gave all the credit to his assistants for the Super Bowl win…who suck out loud without him. Glad Arians is going into The Ring of Honor vs The Panthers in 10 days. Show the man some respect and win the most important game of 2022.

  20. D-Rok Says:

Oh geez, Winny – have you seen how badly Jenna has gotten scorched this week after the Gio interview debacle? Not sure how the Joes feel about their compatriot in the reporter aisle, but man, she got roasted, even after her apology.

  21. Winny Testaverde Says:

Play stupid games…win stupid prizes. Once upon a time I liked the upstart USF graduate Ms. Butterface. She’s gotten ahead of her skis and was destined to crash like the ABC Wide World Of Sports “Agony of Defeat” clip.

  22. Bucsmarley Says:

Cards want to lose. They are playing for the draft. Regardless we still could find a way to pull a loss

  23. Redeemer Says:

No need. If they can’t beat a wretched zona team without him, they should be ashamed. The defense should suffocate the Cardinals. They have one of the worst O lines in the league. Patriots had something like 8 sacks.

  24. D-Rok Says:

I guess that means the Bucs will have -4 sacks, Redeemer. They do what they do.

Sorry but this is the most pessimistic about my team I’ve been as a fan – in over 20 years. What a show!

  25. Redeemer Says:

D-Rok, oh yeah brother. Me too. Trainwreck. Still, zona has already made tee time. If you can’t beat a team like that…..

  26. Jeff Says:

Not smart. No way you’re healthy, bro.

  27. Kentucky Buc Says:

Winny. Agreed. Just a matter of time .

  28. D-Rok Says:

Well, Redeemer we will beat the Cards on Christmas. This is my gut feeling. After that, who knows.

  29. Goatfarmer Says:

Team lost to the tanking stanking Panthers, a decimated Steelers team with Mitch Trubisky and bartenders in the secondary, and gave games to the Browns and Bengals.

This team would find a way to lose to the 2008 Detroit Lions.

  30. FortMyersDave Says:

Bucs favored by -7.5, even -8 on Fanduels, the damned line started at -3.5 Yucs. Money line Bucs -370 and Cards + 300. Fools are drinking the Kool-aid and betting the Bucs as Vegas sets a huge trap for Christmas. Smart play is obviously the Cards and if one is ambitious, load up on that money line! Bucs may win but I say on the road it is less than a coin flip chance. Bucs lose and still in first place as the other NFC bottom feeders will lose in Cleveland (Aints), Baltimore (the ATL) and the Panthers will lose to the Lions. Winner of the Panthers Bucs game get the division so looks like the Panthers have the inside track. 7-10 wins it and I guess there is a chance a 6-11 team like Carolina could win a tie-breaker over the Yucs.

  31. Bucschamp Says:

Crazy if he can play that fast

  32. Bucsfan13 Says:

We better hope. Donovan will probably be out. If Wirfs can’t go, it will be a complete disaster. I don’t care how bad AZ might be. They love to blitz, so the communication must be on point.

  33. Woodenman Says:

Sure are alot of Medical experts on this site.
