  1. SB~LV Says:

At this point in the season it is Jason Licht
    It is his ensemble

  2. Show Me the TDs Says:

Gimme a break. Brady lost that game. Without 4 turnovers in enemy territory, that game was very winnable.

  3. BOAT Says:

Todd Bowles has a coaching record of 32-49. He was a horrible coach with the Jets and he’s a horrible coach with the Bucs. It’s unbelievable that he hasn’t been fired yet.

  4. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Brady played terribly! Not only did he throw interceptions, but he botched the handoff to Fournette.

  5. LVMYBUCS Says:

Yes Brady played bad but some of these players act like they don’t know where they should be on the field or how to run the correct route and the dropped passes. I think they are doing Tom a disservice by swapping out WR so much.

  6. TheBucsAnthem Says:

I really cannot believe people are blaming Bowles………….

Brady was really responsible for the Bucs losing yesterday…….it is really hard to overcome 4 turnovers back to back on the opponent’s side of the 50 yard line…………..especially against a Superbowl caliber team like the Bengals.

  7. D-Rome Says:

Voted other because in my view this was a team loss starting with the Head Coach and going all the way down to the kicker. More than one person is to blame for the loss. Collectively this is a bad football team.

  8. robert Says:

maybe brady is playing for draft picks. either that or the team is playing dummy all year…just staying in it so they can unleash the real offense in the playoffs and no one knows the system…cause we sure have not had a system other than fubar.

  9. D-Rome Says:

Also, did anyone notice how radically different the defense played when Winfield wasn’t out there. The Bucs should give him a long term deal ASAP despite the injury. He’s proved he is worth it.

  10. bucnjim Says:

The mistakes on special teams cost us momentum. The penalties and sloppy play is directly on coaching. Brady did cost us with the turnovers but play calling has been suspect since the day Arians left.

  11. robert Says:

bowles and lefty are not as bad as jw….but they sure are as stupid. heck, send brady to the saints so at least we can see 2 good games a year in our division.

  12. Leighroy Says:

I am not in the “Tom Brady is washed up” camp, but last night specifically more than 51% of the blame goes to him. 2 fumbles and 2 INTs can’t be put on coaching. Coaching surely deserves their share but the question was who deserves it “most.”

  13. Mike Johnson Says:

But the biggest question is really this..Can..Will our Bucs..are they capable of running the table, winning these last 3 games?? Something tells me we can and will not.

  14. NEfan Says:

Why isn’t BA on the list

  15. tbbucs3 Says:

Todd Bowles is most to blame for the overall season but Brady is most to blame for last night.

  16. HC Grover Says:

Bucs can win division with a 6-11 record. Amazing. Are you baffled yet?

  17. D-Rok Says:

Agree, Leighroy. Every player has a bad game that costs a win once in a while. Usually, it’s Brady who helps win games, not lose them, so we are shocked/surprised to see that coming from him. We are shocked that he didn’t play up to his normal standard of excellence.

Hopefully, Brady got his bad game out his system and we won’t see another repeat performance.

I really didn’t think the Bucs had been playing well enough to win this game, and most fans thought it would be a loss, and it was. The hard part for me is just how darn good we looked in first half, and how badly we looked in 2nd half. The difference in halves was striking and disappointing.

The optimist in me says, “Hey, at least we showed we had the talent to dominate a good team for a half.” Now they need to learn how to play a whole game like that first half. They proved they are capable, if only the team would get their mentals right for 60 minutes – if so, the Bucs will be tough to beat.

  18. A Says:

They adjusted at half-time and we didn’t…but brady has to take care of the ball.

I can’t remember the last time the Bucs faked a punt…and of course, when we do we have miscommunication and F it up.

Go Bucs – this year can’t end fast enough.

  19. Craig Says:

The predominate need is a set of coaches who can motivate the players and forge a team. This is not a team, it is a collection of divas.

All it would take is benching a few of them to prove you will do it. The players don’t have that fear.

  20. DBS Says:

It was the entire team. Bowles on down including Brady.

  21. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

As someone who missed most of the game, the game thread was shouting praises for Brady and the team the entire first half.

At that time, everyone was loving the Bucs.

So it’s kind of hypocritical that people are down on them now.

Bowles – As head coach, the Buc stops with him.

Leftwich – From what I understand, he made good adjustments to the gameplan…but I still want him gone.

Brady – While not as good as he once was, he certainly is not as bad as people are saying. Yesterday was a horrible day, yes, but would those turnovers have happened if the offensive line had the same players as last year? I’m not making excuses for him, Brady would blame himself for it.

But the injury of Jensen and loss of Marpet have destroyed the offensive line.

Jason Licht – I don’t see how anyone can blame is for this year. The Marpet retirement happened when there was no one left to replace him effectively. The injuries were several layers deep. You can prepare for a few injuries here and there, but having 3 layers of starters is impossible.

    D. Smith – He’s so busy compensating for the rest of the weakened line that his own position is not

    Solution?
We have several positions locked up and set when healthy…but the rest are in rebuild mode, including the offensive line.

  22. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I am hoping we do NOT win the division. We need the best first rounder we can get.

  23. jdog33 Says:

raise your hand if you think they would have had the same team with Bruce Arians in charge….anyone…..hello?

  24. DaPostman Says:

If that was Winston turning the ball over on 4 straight possessions there wouldn’t be one person blaming Bowles, Leftwich or other. Everyone would be blaming Winston and rightfully so. Now the blame is firmly on the new turnover machine Tom Brady.

Disclaimer: past performance is not a guarantee of future results.

  25. Tye Says:

it could be argued that the Bucs would have been in a better position and called different plays that may not have been turn overs IF:

THEY DIDN’T CALL FOR A FAKE PUNT ON THEIR SIDE OF FIELD WHILE WINNING!

  26. Leighroy Says:

DaPostman, you’re right but I caution you from drawing too much ire on Brady. We have seen what other QBs have produced (?) for us the last decade before. And as bad of a game as Brady gave us, we have seen much worse. It could be much worse.

Imagine how the team would look this year with all their issues + Jameis still at QB? My god I don’t think we’d have more than 2 wins!

  27. gp Says:

Really surprised no one has mentioned the one bad call for holding that turned the tide of the game.
Early in the third, while we still had the lead, we sacked Burro for a twenty plus loss on 4th down. we would have had the ball at midfield with a 10 point lead. Instead, a bogus holding call on David gave them a first down. Add another bogus facemask penalty to push the Bungles towards a score.

The play and playcalling changed dramatically after that.
IMHO that one bad call “called” the game.
I know, turnovers, turnovers, turnovers. Can’t win when losing the turnover battle 5-1.
When playing with the lead (and without sure knowledge that the refs have different plans for the winner) the play and play calling would have been a little different and, again, IMO, so would the outcome.

  28. Tampabuscsbro Says:

Yeah its weird the same people that were celebrating 30 interceptions performance are now crucifying Brady for a game when we would probably be a two win team without him.

  29. Tampabuscsbro Says:

Plus there is the issue coaching malpractice seems to happen every week.

  30. BOAT Says:

Everyone blaming Brady for all 4 turnovers isn’t being objective. Only 2 of the turnovers were his fault. The other two were clearly the offensive line’s fault. Still, Brady can’t have 2 turnovers on his end.

With that being said, of course Bowles is to blame for the loss. The fake punt was mind bogglingly stupid and Bernard didn’t even know the play. That is 100% coaching, and people saying otherwise obviously have zero clue about how a football team prepares for such plays. That is all on the head coach.

And the team made zero adjustments in the second half, as usual. Onie again, the opposing head coach completely outcoached Bowles, which basically happens in almost every game.

It is also looking more and more obvious with each passing game, that Bowles is the one that has hand cuffed the offense with his prevent game plans. It’s the same way he coached the Jets, and remember, before the season began, Bowles said he was going to coach his system and his style, and not the way the team played in the previous two seasons.

It is becoming more and more obvious to anyone that understands how teams prep for games, that this new style offense has Bowles’ fingerprints all over it.

The mere fact that there seem to be so many Bucs fans that are willing to give Bowles a pass for this game is absolutely astonishing. This is the dumbest fan base in all of North American team sports, if such a ridiculous group of “fans” actually deserves such a joke head coach.

But it’s extremely clear that most of these so-called “Bucs fans” are actually blatant level trolls. It’s amazing anyone is actually believing these trolls are Bucs fans.

I mean people calling for Trask to start, or the ones saying Bowles and the defense have zero blame in anything, or the people claiming that Brady doesn’t care about football, or the people saying that any mobile quarterback would win all the games, or the people claiming that Gio Bernard should bare full responsibility for that blown fake punt, and that the poor head coach would have zero to do with it…………like seriously? These are the biggest trolls possibly imaginable, and the biggest trolls alive that exist anywhere.

That is absolutely mind numbing if this really happened…..a 6-11 team being in the playoffs????

PLAYOFFS!?!?!?!?!? (now where is Jim Mora at????)

  33. Allbuccedup Says:

The nfl needs to pass a rule that if you win your division with a losing record you have to forfeit your playoff spot to a team with a better record if their is one if not you can go to the playoffs.

  34. tbbucs3 Says:

“I am hoping we do NOT win the division. We need the best first rounder we can get.”

Nonsensical loser mindset….youd rather trade a home playoff game for a chance to move up from the 15th to 12th pick in the draft?

Thats pretty dumb…especially for a franchise that RARELY ever gets to go to the post season

  35. tbbucs3 Says:

“So it’s kind of hypocritical that people are down on them now”

Also Bonzai, a football game is 4 quarters not 2.

Your post are usually pretty decent but man your way off with a lot of different things here

  36. Stanglassman Says:

Todd Bowles didn’t turn the ball over 4 times. TB was responsible for 3 of those turnovers. Had it been BA and Winston there wouldn’t have even been a poll.

The aggressive call to fake the punt on 4-1 wasn’t a bad call. The opening was there and would’ve easily picked it up. Gio needs to be on the same page as everyone else. I like the fact they stayed aggressive picking up the first two 4-1 to score more points and didn’t go into a shell up 17-0. That’s exactly what they’ve been doing all season causing them to lose games. The play action and motions at the line were all good. The team just fell apart in the 3rd quarter with penalties and turnovers.

    Systemic failure.
