Having Winfield Jr. back is huge, he’s the best player on defense. Not that it will matter when Bowles just sits back in a super soft zone since he’s playing a 3rd string QB – I mean why would you want to put pressure on an inexperienced guy when you could sit back in a soft zone and give up easy competitions and let their backup build up confidence.

It wasn’t a bad throw, Mike just wasn’t expecting it – and more importantly got pushed in the back when the ball was coming down so he had no chance to stop and make a play on it. That’s another out of sync play, if Mike has his head around and is looking for the ball, he, at the very least, bats the ball down. Watching the reply again, pretty much as they just said on TV, the pass to Evans just got out faster than Evans was expecting it, and was already there by the time Evans is turning around. It wasn’t a bad throw, and it wasn’t Evans not doing his job – they’re just out of sync. Evans wasn’t expecting the ball that fast, and Brady is doing what I’ve wanted him to do for a couple of years now, just throw the ball up and let Evans make a play. If Evans knew the ball was coming out quicker, he’s looking for it, and has a chance to make a play. Again, it’s not on either guy, it’s on the garbage coaching who should be, by now, have these two on the same page.
Also, what wasn’t brought up, Evans was pushed in the back just before the ball got there. Not sure it would be or should be PI, but the reason he didn’t even make a play for it, was that he was pushed.

The Bucs are a team under Bowles that plays not to lose, they don’t play to win. Under BA they played to win & the difference is evident every week, Bowles wants the offense to have long time consuming drives & use the clock. Keep the game close & the defense will win it late, just score 14 – 17 a game & he’s happy. He is the reason we have a losing record, will probably lose this game & won’t make the playoffs. This entire coaching staff needs to go minutes after the last game this year.

Sweet! Tie game. Bowles’ game plan is awesome. So here is what I posit to you guys: Bowles has called a prevent defense each and every time we are trying to manage a quarter ending. Each and every time, the other team ends up crushing us. Yet, Bowles repeats the same strategy the next time the situation comes up. Can someone please tell me that the offense being repetitive and predictable is not bowls as fault as well? I mean, if your offensive coordinator is repeating the same strategy and you don’t call him on it after losing games and it’s obvious that the teams predictability on offense is the problem, are you as the head coach not then the de facto problem? Are you not in charge of managing the team and its coaching staff?

cmurda – I’ll just point out again, when Leftwich was OC, without Arians, in 2018, with the Cardinals, he was #32 in offense.
He’s awful.
Bowles was handed this team with the idea that the offense would just be on autodrive, but apparently people never actually paid attention to Leftwich’s record, or all the comments over the years where Arians said publicly that Leftwich has to open things up as he’s naturally extremely conservative (and predictable).
This offense isn’t Bowles saying don’t score points, and run it up the middle 4 times in a row, this is Leftwich. 100% Leftwich.
Bowles isn’t helping, but this is clearly not Arians offense, this is Leftwich’s offense we’re seeing.

#3 and #20 for Arizona had ME13 in a bracketed coverage on the vertical route to ME13.
The LB had White covered in the flat on the left side. White vs a LB is a win every play.
If reading that side of the play with a 2 route the ball must go the the back who has a LB covering them, especially with the 1 vertical route being bracketed by 2 defenders.

If all the Bucs fans want to come together on something, it should be all directing our hatred at the Jacksonville Jags. Those Jagoffs could have helped the Bucs tremendously had they just went ahead and hired Leftwich as their HC. Instead they refused to give Leftwich his hand picked GM, so Leftwich, having an IQ of 12 and thinking he is actually good at his job, thought he could turn down Jacksonville and still have his pick of the litter next year.
Jacksonville is an ugly city, has an ugly blue bridge, smells and shouldn’t be part of Florida, it’s really Georgia — and they ruined the Bucs season this year.

Show Me the TDs – Fair point, but we have seen Trask in preseason, and he didn’t look good either.
Next year, if Brady is leaving, which I’m 99.99999% certain he is, then Trask will get his chance to start … since the Bucs will be trying to get the #1 pick in 2024. I’m fine with that. Part of signing Brady and keeping the team together in 2021, was understanding that in the future there would be legit cap hell and a complete rebuild.
But hey, if Trask ends up looking good, fantastic, i’d love to see if. But I haven’t seen anything, including in college when he was throwing Danny Wuerffel rainbows, that makes me think he’s going to be a good NFL QB. But I’d be more than happy to be proven wrong next year.

He sat behind Brees, then got his chance to start, had them what, 5-2 and got injured, then this this year broke his back in 3 places in week 2. So he was 6-3, I believe, in 9 starts with the Saints.

OK, the first INT I didn’t blame Brady or Evans, I thought they were out of sync, but that one looked like it was on Brady. On those plays you want to throw it high so Mike can go up and get the ball, you can’t throw it low and short, it doesn’t give him a chance.
Only disclaimer is that we don’t know for sure if Brady was expecting Mike to pull up or if he just threw it short.

I will say this, a lot of people are saying “rebuild“ but they’re not that far off. They have some good DBs, DL, OL when healthy, good WR when healthy, an up-and-coming TE, a good rookie RB… They need some more bodies in the trenches on both sides of the ball and a QB.

Cap hell is real next year and it means you’re losing a lot of guys. Now the Bucs aren’t in a truly terrible situation after that, they do have some young pieces to build around, but next year it should be full tank mode.
