Time For Tom Brady And Bucs To Make History
November 10th, 2022Just from talking to the Müncheners in Germany, the fact there is an NFL game being played here Sunday revolves around one guy. Guess who?
Yes, Bucs quarterback Tom Brady is an international superstar. That image has preceded itself to Germany and in particular, Munich, where the Bucs will play the Seahawks.
Yes, there are Bucs fans sprinkled about Munich. Not many. But Tom Brady? Well, he’s the big draw for the locals. A ticket to Sunday’s game is awfully hard to come by or expensive as hell on the secondary market. The Müncheners know this will be a once-in-a-lifetime event, getting to watch Brady play on German soil.
On Wednesday, the lead story in a Munich newspaper was about Brady and his long career and how he still plays at a high level.
Brady and the Bucs have a chance to make history as Jeff Kerr of CBS Sports points out. Brady is undefeated at 2-0 in international games. Sunday’s game against Seattle will be Brady’s third start on foreign grounds.
Previously, Brady won in London (against the Bucs in 2009) and in Mexico.
If Brady can go 3-0 it would be a huge boost to the Bucs’ playoff chances. The way Seattle is playing, they look like a lock for a wild card if they don’t win the NFC West. Of course, if the Bucs beat Seattle (6-3), they’ll own a tiebreaker edge on them for a Wild Card.
A Bucs win would be the first victory for any NFL team playing a regular season game in Germany.

Nice pics from Joe! BTW, Jeff Kerr forgot the USA so Brady will have started in four countries. Hopefully the Bucs finally win one of these international matches on Sunday as they are 0-3 in the UK and the Bucs always give up a home game to play out of country but never have had the advantage of playing a road game overseas.

Wouldn’t that make it 4 countries? (USA)

On an unrelated note, Tom Brady stands to lose a sizeable portion of his investment portfolio with the collapse of crypto currency exchange FTX.

Forgive me if I’m wrong, Joes, but didn’t Brady win twice in London, and once in Mexico City? I thought he was 3-0 in international games…???

We will be the “Home Team” in Munich for a couple of reasons. Number one, because of Tom Brady, and number 2 because he was married to a German Girl!
Yes folks, even though Giselle was born in Brazil, she is 100% German!
Unlike some Europeans who bred with the local Brazilians, she is not a Mongrel.
There was a large exodus of Germans who went to South America after World War II for obvious reasons. The Red Army was actively looking for high ranking Germans so they could try them for War Crimes, including but not limited to the Rape of Russian Women.
Russia does not get enough credit for World War II. In reality, they were the ones who beat the Germans, after losing over 20 million people!
America lost less than 500,000 Men by comparison.
Perhaps Giselle’s German Parents were among these Germans who fled Germany I don’t know ?
So don’t be surprised when the German Crowd cheers our Tampa Bay Bucs, and may even Boo the Seahawks ?

Bumbling Byron will ruin Brady’s debut in Germany.

Just win the f**king game

Is NFL Network the only way to watch? I thought teams were obligated to show in their local area. Prime isn’t terrible. I like the broadcast the most, it’s at night, and a lot of people have prime video. I have previous engagements to wake up at 8:30 to go to Press Box or anywhere else.

The Bucs will definitely lose this game for sure. The hawks are a sneakingly good time and as each progressives….they’re actually getting better too.

I hope the bucs win. I’m giving them my positive vibes !!! 🙂
November 10th, 2022 at 11:25 am
Are we rooting for Buccaneers or Tom brady?? Serious question

Did anyone really think TB12 wouldn’t be the marketing machine rockstar for the NFL in Europe, specifically Germany????
The way I see it…The team that can handle the time zone change the best, will win this game.
If Hawks come out frazzled (mentally) due to the drastic body clock flip…Bucs should handle them in a close match….Those SEA PST body clocks going to feel like they jumping on the bus to the stadium at 3am for a 6:30am kick-off.
Regardless, if Bucs don’t get the W…TB12 might as well stay in Munich & pull a Hasselhoff, as the season is kaput anyway you look at it.
(Hard to see Bucs do anything down the stretch, heading into the bye w/ a 4-6 record…& staring at 3 more likely L’s by Christmas.)

Lamarcus….both.

The NFL should give the Bucs a win for all the millions Brady will make them this week in Germany. The bad part is I’m sure they have made his time with the German media almost full time. He won’t have much time to work on the offense. What gets me is how Rodger Goodell and the NFL treat Brady after all the millions he makes them every year. Not only the way they treated him during deflategate, but to fine him for the non-kick in the Atlanta game.

Chris Apple. I can tell you are very old school. Just to inform you sir, its not polite to call people mongrels nowadays. This is 2022. Ans races do mix now.

As for the game, We will truly see come Sunday whether out Bucs have it in them. This Seattle team is tough. They hit hard, swarm and their QB has finally found his way. We will need our A game to beat these guys. If we bring it, we can win. But Seattle is tough. Make no doubts about it.
November 10th, 2022 at 12:47 pm
How do you not root for the bucs and not root for tom brady…explain to me how that works…
Maybe yall still crying bout lame Winston to much.
November 10th, 2022 at 1:09 pm
Perhaps Joe and Jeff Kerr were not clear here.
Brady plays in his third foreign country on Sunday. He’s previously played in England and Mexico. He has yet to lose on foreign soil.
Brady has never lost in England, never lost in Mexico, and if the Bucs win Sunday’s game Germany would make the third foreign nation Brady would have won in.
(Didn’t think this was going to turn into a math problem. smh)
November 10th, 2022 at 2:47 pm
Don’t care how many games he’s won elsewhere. I care about this specific one. And all eyes are going to be on Byron Leftwich’s play calling.
God help him if we spin our wheels and lose bad again.
November 10th, 2022 at 3:16 pm
Bad enough Tampa to Munich. But Seattle to Munich. Yikes. Anyway, big test, big opportunity for Bucs. Can we get some creative/productive play calling! Sttrtch the field. Throw on 1st. If Tom could pull off the last 44 sec. then there is capacity on this team to win Sunday.

it’s kind of funny that the “Touchdown” banner has a defensive player on it…
November 10th, 2022 at 5:50 pm
Joe, your initial article stated:
“Brady is undefeated at 2-0 in international games. Sunday’s game against Seattle will be Brady’s third start on foreign grounds.”
As I pointed out, Brady has played 3 (THREE) international games, and won all 3. He won 2 in London and 1 in Mexico City. My maths indicate 2+1 = 3 previous starts. This game in Munich will be his fourth (4) international start, presuming he starts.
If the Bucs win in Munich, it will be Brady’s fourth international win.
Not sure how this is a math problem…???

That is going to be a fun town this week. Looks like a suvineour gold mine. I hope you brought an empty suitcase!

ByMoron needs to be muzzled – give him any credit, but let Tom Moore and Clyde gameplan, let Goodwin emphasize the run plays, and let Tom call it all from no huddle, idiots.
November 11th, 2022 at 9:14 am
Joe is there a record for QB wins in international games?
