“Soon” Is When Logan Ryan Thinks He Will Be Back

Talks return.
Bucs defensive back Logan Ryan was in the Bucs’ locker room yesterday — about a week and a half after he Twittered in the hours after the Bucs beat the Seahawks that he would return “soon.”
Ryan, still on injured reserve after foot surgery, didn’t budge from his earlier update.
“‘Soon’ is what I would say,” Ryan told Joe Wednesday. “I’m not going to have an exact day. I’m sure the team will announce [a date] before I do.”
Ryan has already been on injured reserve for the minimum of four games, so he is eligible for active status at any time.
Joe found the timing of Ryan’s twitter interesting. It was just after the Bucs’ best outing of the season. So Joe asked Ryan if the way the defense has been playing of late has him stoked to get back on the field ASAP. Ryan didn’t deny it.
“I think the guys have been playing well the past couple of weeks,” Ryan said. “The fight and finish, that was good. It was playing to the standard that we have.”
Ryan confessed he was bummed he couldn’t be part of the trip to Munich. Ryan admitted he was really looking forward to playing football on German soil.
“That game hurt the most because of the environment in Germany,” Ryan said. “I’m a football historian and the first game in Germany, I would have loved to be there and be a part of that.
“I’m proud of how they played and how they are getting better the past few weeks.”
The defense is getting healthier (sans Bucs sack king Shaq Barrett) and it’s no coincidence the defense is getting better. Having Ryan back to allow Antoine Winfield to play more slot corner will make the defense even tougher.

Love me some Logan Ryan. Dude is a field general out there. I think we’ll see some picks when he comes back. He’s never out of position, and is as sagacious a defense as you’ll find.

Anyone that questions if Dungy is at the top of the Bucs all-time coaching list, just read that name of QBs again.

If Bucs get Logan Ryan and Jensen back healthy for playoffs it would be fantastic
