Tom Brady is not a man known for empty words to his teammates.
To media? Sure, but not the guys in the locker room.
Perfect example, multiple Bucs have talked about how Brady didn’t make a team speech all through 2020 until the Super Bowl pregame. And that speech was life-changing, many Bucs have said.
Recently on the Buccaneers Radio Network, Will Gholston recalled how stunning, passionate and moving it was.
But that doesn’t mean Brady isn’t constantly preaching to players individually and in small groups.
One thing Brady is a huge believer in is post-Thanksgiving football. Former Brady teammate and fellow Pro Bowl QB Matt Cassel talked about this on The33rdTeam.com recently. He explained that Brady and Bill Belicheat “preach it throughout the year” and it’s not hot air for them.
Growing mental toughness through a season is a hallmark of Brady and Belicheat, per Cassel, and he expects the Bucs and Patriots to reflect the preachings and will of their leaders. In fact, he thinks it’s been on display as both teams are on two-game winning streaks following extreme adversity.
Joe sure hopes Cassel is correct when it comes to Brady preaching how everything now must be ratcheted up for the postseason.
Joe can imagine what that would look like when the team reconvenes tomorrow following its bye.

Brady has proved it his whole career he has nothing left to prove it’s the rest of the crew that has to get it up after turkey day to win it again…..just look how bad the rams are doing to see how it goes after you win the big one. Tb12 is the best and at 45 will be ready when the bell rings

Tom is not playing distracted anymore the divorce is over. Look like we got the offensive line back to looking somewhat respectable Tom is getting his timing down with his receivers. The chemistry is falling back into place the players are starting to believe
