As a face of The Lost Decade of Buccaneers football, Lavonte David knows the years of pain he endured.
And he’s unafraid to share it with teammates.
That was the message today at One Buc Palace from Buccaneers savior linebacker Devin White.
White was talking about his focus and where he gets an extra gear. Sometimes it comes from David.
“Lavonte, man, he kind of hold me to an even higher standard than myself,” White explained. “Because he’s been doing it so long. You know, winning feels good to him and he knows what it’s like to lose. He always tell me, like, ‘I’m not going back down that road. So whatever we gotta do as a group to get everybody going, we just gotta be that glue for the team.'”
David sure does know what it’s like to lose. So does Joe and most fans reading this post.

LD has been one of the best linebackers in the game for almost a decade now. Love his consistency. He doesn’t get talked about enough. Forgot one of the best bucs of all time. He’s in my top 10 for best backers of all time.

Does that mean he’s retiring with Brady? It would make sense. Who else will hang the cleats on the same bus? In all fairness no one imagined the Tompa Bay age would last three years and there’s even a chance for more? There’s something to be grateful for as a Bucs fan. This team can make a run deep in the playoffs but leaders need to step in, potential has to be realized, and wind has to blow behind our veils. Feeling optimistic about it. Winning is addictive and so is losing. What will our Bucs be? Middle of the road.

This team on paper is not close at all to the Lost decade, BUT…….
The record sure is.

At 5-5 nothing is sure but mediocrity
Hope they can actually win more than they lose.
They sure are not going to threaten any serious contender.
For now PRETENDER is their status, UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE.
Things could change, OK so let the Bucs prove it on the field.

Poor LVD, this team is now a house of cards. Looks good on paper but players are as brittle as glass. VV is the latest prime example. Hope this team can win out, but injuries could derail a SB run. O line is mediocre and D line is hurting. BL is unable to adapt at play calling. Offense can’t score more than 20 points a game putting everything on the defense. Don’t see this team going past the first round unless there is a vast improvement.

Draft talk around Thanksgiving? It was more like Halloween along with looking up Fanatics return policy on the #3 Winston jersey I bought. Questioning why I continue to have season tickets. Usually before I could pass out candy I was well up to speed on next years first rounders.
