Mark Dominik: “Todd Bowles Did Not Watch The Tape If That’s What He’s Saying”

“Mark, what can I do? I don’t coach. Todd isn’t lighting a fire under these guys.”
Former Buccaneers rock star general manager Mark Dominik went on a passionate rant about the Bucs on Friday and sounded appalled.
Yes, Dominik remains a Bucs fan and doesn’t hide it when he’s co-hosting on SiriusXM NFL Radio.
Breaking down Tampa Bay’s loss to the Ravens yesterday, Dominik seemed annoyed that head coach Todd Bowles isn’t saying publicly that there’s a significant effort problem on his defense.
“Go to the other side of the ball (defense), there was a lack of hustle,” Dominik said. “[Todd Bowles] can say they hustled in that game last night; Todd Bowles did not watch the tape if that’s what he’s saying.
“There’s no way he watched that tape and said they hustled in that game. I saw too many loafs across the board, and it’s not just because I worked with Monte Kiffin and Tony Dungy and said, ‘That’s a loaf.’ It’s because if you watched the game, you saw it. … It’s not, you know, the whole defense, it’s individual players that know today when they watch the tape. ‘Mmm, probably could have given more effort there.’ This was a prime time game, folks, Some of these guys are looking for contracts.”
Joe can’t argue with Dominik here. The Bucs’ collective defense effort was lacking, especially in a true must-win game at home and in prime time.

Teams identity is ENTITLEMENT. They believed the hype that they are suoerior amd entitled to win. They play soft, not grinding to earn it. They are arrogant and undisciplined which goes back to identity of entitlement.

The Glazers have never hesitated to fire any of their previous head coaches regardless of what their ethnicity/race was.
Also Todd Bowles is not Brian Flores, he has made it abundantly clear that he doesn’t care about that sort of thing anytime the media has brought it up.

Brady is 45 years old y’all can make Bowles and BL the scapegoats all you want but Brady is washed up. The Ravens had 58 offensive plays in the second quarter and we were winning at the half 10 -3 . How many 3 and outs the Ravens had in the first half? And you will get your answers how bad this offense is vs our defense.

This isn’t a position group problem folks. This evolved into a full scale organizational failure from Jason Licht to the coaching and the players.
A historical collapse in fact. It’s shameful, embarrassing and completely unacceptable.
Bowles has failed spectacularly as has Leftwich.
It’s almost unbelievable what we’re all seeing here.

We may be wasting time calling for action by the owners to make changes. Nothing will happen until the Bucs are out of contention for the division title numerically. Then nothing will happen because it would violate the woke doctrine of social justice. We will be right here next off season with the same coaches.

You DO realize that the BUCS are the ONLY team in the NFL that have had 3 African American Head Coaches (NO other team has had 2)…. and that currently ALL of their co-ordinators are ALSO African American (again,, NO other team can state this)….
So the Glazers and the TAMPA BAY BUCCANEERS do NOT have ANYTHING to prove, with their track record in this area.

The real problem is not a lack of hustle, the problem is many of our players are flat out of football shape!
They are getting physically tired, because of their lack of conditioning.
You saw it against the Ravens. We were killing them in the first quarter, and still holding on for most of the second quarter.
But we flat tired out in the second half, and the Ravens had their way with us.
If I were Bowles, I would fire every one of our strength and conditioning coaches, and hire proven trainers to get these guys into shape!

^^ We have the same trainers we had when we won the Superbowl. So, this is dumb.
Now, if we wonder about the strength and conditioning people because of the prevalence of injury on this team the last 2 years, I’d be willing to consider… Even with that, they were a pretty healthy team with the same strength and conditioning people in the Superbowl year.

The sad reality is- Tryon-Shoyinka, Keanu Neal, Zyon McCallum, Dee Delaney, Rakeem Nunez-Roches, Nassib, Nelson, all the TE’s, the interior OLine, Miller, Perriman- whatever they were in the past, they’re just not very good anymore.

Maybe it’s just me but there’s times when a 4-3 defense can be more effective than a 3-4. I think 3 LBs might have put the Ravens offense on their heels a little more than the 2’nd half mess we saw last night. The D line is definitely lacking leadership as pointed out by many. Vita needs someone beside him to direct him on each play. Suh was that mentor and we miss him immensely. I think some forget just how intelligent Suh is. You don’t fall off a truck and get an engineering degree. Devin White can not figure out how to use his speed. He could duck that center and let him go right by. We have serious coaching problems and this team is run amuck.

Do you guys remember Ronde’s CB blitzes? He sacked QB’s constantly and it would disrupt the flow of an offense. Kiff’s defense may be a little dated but there’s so many parts of it that can still work to perfection if you’re DC ego will let you watch some old film and take notes. Those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.

Licht went 0-3 in the first two rounds of the 2016 draft (Vernon “Am I supposed to cover that guy?”Hargreaves…and anyone remember a certain PK being drafted after a bust as a pass rusher?). Set this team back 5 years with those idiotic picks. He didn’t steal JPP…the Giants were sick of him always being injured and they were starting a rebuild. They couldn’t get rid of him fast enough. His play in Tampa was to show the Giants, they made a mistake and he accomplished that. Licht is a terrible GM. Bucs haven’t had a capable GM since Rich McKay.
