“It Feels Like The End”

October 30th, 2022

Tom Brady

After watching the Bucs perform their best imitation of a Lost Decade game, a former NFL offensive lineman with an Ivy League degree believes the end is near.

Former Washington, Buffalo and Belicheats guard Ross Tucker, who was Kyle Brandt’s teammate at Princeton, took to his podcast (he has probably the best series of pure football podcasts out there) to say we are seeing the final weeks of NFL history.

Sure, this is likely the end of the Bucs’ window as an NFL powerhouse. But Tucker believes we are entering the final weeks of Tom Brady’s career.

“Brady was consistently missing throws,” Tucker said of the loss to the Crows. “He was not on the same page as his receivers.

“Maybe they can turn it around, especially in that division. But it feels like the end for Brady. I don’t like how he is going out like this.”

As for the Bucs, Tucker echoed what Todd Bowles said following the loss to the Crows. When the Bucs were mixing in the run with the pass early on, the Bucs were moving the ball.

“Alright, you are two-for-two, two scoring drives,” said of how the Bucs began the game. “This is who we thought the Bucs would be. They’ve got it figured out.

“And that was it. The Bucs couldn’t do anything. It was Three-and-Out City. They couldn’t do anything after that.”

Tucker said the Bucs have a feel of a team about to spiral out of control, especially losing their best pass-rusher for the season, Bucs sacks king Shaq Barrett.

“Unreal. Who would have thought that?” Tucker asked. “Who would have thought the Bucs would be 3-5?

“It’s not the worst thing in the world to lose 27-22 to the Ravens. It’s the worst thing in the world to get smoked, really handled by both the Steelers and the Panthers.”

Tucker added that perhaps his most disappointing defensive player for the Bucs is inside linebacker Devin White, saying he “really hasn’t played well all season.”

Joe is not ready to shovel dirt on the season. Yet. But a big step into righting the pirate ship is to unload failing Bucs offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich.

Why is Leftwich still employed? He should have been sent packing before he had a chance to drive to One Buc Palace on Friday morning.

Dude is going through some personal stuff, do not think Brady would ever end his career like this. Unfinished business if what he said. I like the November-January Brady and I think he will turn it on

  2. Beeej Says:

However they wish to describe him, he’s still easily a top 10 QB in the NFL

  3. DungyDance Says:

I wonder if an alternative to firing BL is to quietly demote him. Have Arians and some staff develop all of the plays, involve Brady too. Have assistants review film after each game. Just have BL wear the headset on gameday for appearances. And let all the players in on it, you can’t insult their intelligence by presenting them with a patsy for a leader. As for the leadership hole, fill that with Brady, who is already the undisputed leader of the offense anyway.

  4. BucsFanSince76 Says:

So Leftwich was the OC in 2020-Super Bowl Win. Leftwich was the OC in 2021-Deep run losing to Rams who won the Super Bowl. So in 2022 Leftwich develops early onset dementia and cannot call plays anymore??? Are you people too blind to see the issue is the FREAKING LACK OF A QUALITY OLINE. That is why our yards per rush is 3.0(lowest in 50 years), cmon people-Jason Licht has failed to sign quality players-PERIOD-Do Your Job Jason Licht.

  5. Robert Says:

Hang ‘em up Tom. Not because you’re done, but this coaching staff is. Pride is a mofo, but time to see what Trask has.

  6. Da Bucs Guy Says:

It’s over. The Bucs have been Manhandled for over a month now. And the record should be worse if the zebras did not steal victory away from the Falcons.

  7. D-Rok Says:

Jim Miller on SXM said he reviewed the tape looking to see if Brady’s technique was good or not, throwing motion, feet placement, hips, etc. He said he noticed on at least 2 of those quick screens, that Brady’s feet were not in the correct position. Then, he said he reviewed film of Brady in year’s past and his feet were good then, but not this past game. Miller said Brady’s arm was just fine, and most of his reads and progressions were good/adequate. The missed TD to Rudolph was just a timing and newer receiver issue. He thought the throw had great velocity and was a good throw…either Rudolph is too slow now or Brady led him a tad too much, but was a good throw that should’ve been a TD.

Miller speculated the footwork is a subtle sign of decline. Aren’t the legs the first to go? Think I’ve heard that before.

  8. HC Grover Says:

The NFL is totally screwed up. Thursday Night and Sunday Night and Overseas games should be dumped as well as ESPN. Go back to the three networks. All Sunday Games on CBS and NBC and Monday Night on ABC. Over the air. I am losing interest.

  9. HC Grover Says:

Buc Radio has also tanked and has become boring and not worth the time you could mow the grass. It was awful on Sunday.

  10. BucsFan81 Says:

I don’t really see this team winning many more games. Maybe 2 or 3 for rest of the season could easily see them 7-10 and missing the playoffs.

  11. D-Rok Says:

Agree, Grover. I simply HATE Thursday games. I grew up watching football on the 3 major networks only, and it was so much better than now. Not a fan at all of Thurs nite games – it’s just weird and it’s such a disadavantage to the two teams playing on a very short week.

  12. Listnfrmafar Says:

BucsFansince76, it’s clear now BA was more involved in the O than he claimed and the red pen thing was real. If you believe BL is a quality coach explain these: GB game double reverse with back up players to kill a drive, GB, 1st & 20 after a holding call runs right up the gut for a loss, GB, run the ball with 36 seconds left in the game causing Bowles to use his final TO, Pitt, consistently force the run when everyone including the male cheerleader knows they have a depleted secondary, Balt, 2& 1 run a reverse to Jones the walking wounded for a loss, when anyone that’s played Pop Warner knows that’s when you take a shot, same game runs up the gut 3 times in a row forcing a punt. The man doesn’t know how to read defenses or D personnel. The Rams PO game, the O was getting pounded until they went hurry up (play calling out of BL’s hands). The majority of the time this team can move the ball is in the hurry up, unfortunately unlike the last two seasons it’s been too late in the game. These coaches stink.

  13. BucsFanSince76 Says:

Cmon List , do you really believe Brady does not have the go ahead and the smarts to audibilize to any play in the playbook if he so desires??

  14. Tbbucs3 Says:

Brady is not a top 10 QB anymore……there’s been no evidence of that all all this season……Can’t keep living in the past

The blame everyone besides Brady tour continues…….

  15. PassingThru Says:

I’ve been echoing my criticisms of team’s construction (O Line, WRs, TEs, defense) since training camp, and my criticism of Bowles since he destroyed this team during last season’s playoffs.

Is that why I’m in mod hell. Joe? Or is it something else? My posts rarely appear nowadays.

  16. Colonel Angus Says:

Put B.A. in the booth and let him radio plays to Leftwich.

  17. PSL Bob Says:

Like everyone else, I’ve been trying to figure out what the hell happened to our team. Plenty of blame to go around. But one thing that has not received enough attention is Arians handing control of the Pirate ship over to Bowles. He claimed he wanted Bowles in a position of being able to succeed. GOAT at QB, Pro Bowlers all over the place on both offense and defense. He said Leftwich ran the offense will little input from him. That just can’t be true. And Bowles has yet to pull the plug on Leftwich when it’s clear Leftwich can’t get the job done. That’s on the head coach. And what input is Bowles giving to Leftwich? Run the ball more. SMH. The expectations we had for this season have completely evaporated. This team has no spirit and won’t be able to get back on track with the current coaching at the top. Thanks Bruce!

  18. BucU Says:

I give much kudos to you faithful out there who haven’t given up on the season. I’m completely checked out because I see the players checked out.
Once that happens it’s season over.
Jason Licht and Todd Bowles have failed spectacularly.

  19. richbucsfan Says:

Angus, I would agree with you, except Bowles philosophy is guiding the ship now. He wants running more so than passing. No risk it is history. You have 2 HUGE egos in charge now. It’s failing.

  20. Kidfloflo Says:

This team needs a bye week badly, and Brady a month to set his divorced mind a little clearer…and if some how they string two wins together i think they can find some passion, it will start will a less mopey Tom and some fire in his eyes…then with the thankfully crappy division, win the South and maybe, just maybe win the home playoff game and not necessarily win the super bowl but end his career on a semi successful season. Key bodies like Jensen back might be the push

  21. Panhandle Buc Says:

Adjustments and lack of got our team! Btw to the poster sticking up for Leftwich, he was riding BAs coattails during the last 2 seasons! He’s a fraud and our weakest coaching link!

  22. tampabuscsbro Says:

Yeah I guess this teams construction is bad.

Trading for a pro bowl guard. having a good center to replace the pro bowler that went down. having two pro bowl WR’s and a former all pro and a dude who stole from this team unfortunately.

The rookie tight ends are a lone bright spot on this team.

definitely on players not on coaches that don’t know what they are doing.

  23. tampabuscsbro Says:

also per Rappaport. No coaching changes are expected…………………………………..

  24. Marine Buc Says:

All we really need to do is win 3 more games and we are in the playoffs…

    New Orleans, Atlanta and Carolina.

It would be nice to win more but we need to at least win these three games.

If the Bucs could add another WR and OG it would be helpful…

    Go Bucs!

  25. HC Grover Says:

In short Panthers and Saints will prolly win today.

  26. 99 55 47 20 Says:

Brady will turn things around and turn up, especially now that that other personal business is finished. Our defense is a concern tho .. so many injuries in secondary again, getting gashed by the run, and no more Shaq smh.
Possible coaching staff changes will be very interesting …

  27. Carl L Says:

Tom’s got a real problem. He’s surrounded by 80% players. Belechek and Kraft got rid of them. Our owners and coaches reward them with long term contracts. Easy practice rules. Tom’s receivers all have knee bends when they catch his ball. They run choke routes in slow motion in the red zone. The team effort disgust me. Yes the defense does run all over the field. They run themselves out of the play most of the time. I could block our inside linebacker White on most plays.

  28. Cody Powers Says:

    Thing One:
Gronk – get him back. In addition to his impact on the field, he brings an X-factor to the locker room. Between the ears is Very Relevant to (a proven professional’s) athletic performance during the game. IN the zone much?
    Thing Two:
Fix the O-Line. Whatever it takes, trade deadline is fast approaching. Any Q’s?
    Thing Three:
Get coaches off the Xanax. Where’s the occasional spark? Where’s the inclusion of player engagement during the game? Coach players with some [necessary] sense of urgency -during the game too…
Super Bowl Run or Mediocrity, Which Will It Be?
    Mediocrity

  29. Letsbucinggo Says:

Most great players stay a year or two too long.

  30. bucs4life Says:

Wow, what a surprise. Former Belichick partisan hack thinks “it’s the end for Brady”.

  31. Letsbucinggo Says:

This team is totally undisciplined and that is a reflection of the coach.

  32. Listnfrmafar Says:

Bucsfan, yes & no, BL controls the personnel. If you have two or 3 TE’s in you cannot throw downfield. It’s pretty obvious when Brady audibles, It’s usually a check down pass or Evan’s burst. I believe he did it far more last season because he had AB & Gronk. I will post this AGAIN for those with reading comprehension issues. Bowels made it VERY clear in a presser the O is NOT Brady’s it’s BL’s!!!

  33. firethecannons Says:

Bucs need to unload Leftwich and Devin White

  34. Tampabaybucfan Says:

“Devin White hasn’t played well all season”

The season is two months old and Devin White won defensive player of the month in one of them.

    I agree, he’s had a couple of poor games…..but really….all season?

  35. T REX Says:

    No coaching changes?

    We are totally screwed.

    BLOW IT UP NOW.

    Sell everyone…start the rebuild.

Escort everyone out of the building at the end of the season.

    Start a new

  36. Redeemer Says:

D-Rok, here’s what I’ve noticed. Whenever Brady is moved off his spot, he’s having a hard time getting his feet re-set. I also don’t see his recievers getting a lot of separation. If his first read or second read isn’t open, the rush is getting to him. I don’t believe he’s fallen off a cliff. The reason we didn’t see this last year, is because someone was always open. He rarely even got to his third read last year. I also think his shoulder is bothering him. He’d never admit it, or use I as an excuse.

  37. Jmarkbuc Says:

So if the Panthers win today, they’re in first place in the division?

    😂😂😂😂😂😂

  38. SKBucsFan Says:

Its been difficult for Brady to focus on football. He knows that! And he doesn’t want to end his career like this. Trust him to regain his focus this season, or he will play next year as well. It’s not a physical thing.

  39. D-Rok Says:

Good thoughts, Redeemer. Brady, historically, has never been “good” at re-setting his feet when moving or when pocket changes. He’s very much a rhythm passer and throwing on the run has never been his strong suit as a QB.

What Miller was pointing out is on those no-drop screens, Brady wasn’t setting his feet, and that is something that has changed this year. You might be right in that he doesn’t have receivers open, so he rushes his footwork.

Again, to bang the drums with saber-rattling, it’s the O-Line, or lack of trust in them.

  40. D-Rok Says:

PS: I also do not believe Brady is falling off the Kellerman cliff, but his footwork is something to keep an eye on going forward.

  41. BigMacAttack Says:

This is what happens when you play poorly and lose games you shouldn’t. Wild speculation starts, rampant question marks on everything, and then the dreaded blame game. Who’s fault is it? What can be done? Can anything be done? This is the position that no player, coach, gm or owner wants to find themselves in. Why? Because it sucks and even if you win a game or two, the excuses will fly for why you got lucky or otherwise. The season can be summarized in two words “Big Trouble”. 😂😂😂

  42. Pryda...Sec147 Says:

    FIrE THE COACH!!!

  43. Listnfrmafar Says:

D-Rok, that’s the same awkward foot work he’s had for 23yrs. You don’t think it’s subliminal by now?

  46. TheRealDrew Says:

    Retire Brady

  47. Listnfrmafar Says:

What do you know Philly is beating Pittsburgh by throwing on them. I guess they want to exploit a beat up secondary. Novel idea💡

  48. Sal Says:

Season is over fire Leftwich and save your Season #!!

  49. SufferingSince76 Says:

Unless you are throwing in the towel, stop with the get rid of Brady nonsense. And even then, stop it.

  50. Defense Rules Says:

Redeemer … He’s having trouble setting up because he doesn’t trust his pocket. Can’t blame him for that. He’s been sacked 13 times in 8 games; on-track for 28 sacks this season. He got sacked 21 in 2020 and 22 in 2021. Got chance that he’s hurting right now, and oh ya, he’s a year older & has the mobility of a fire hydrant. I’d be skittish too.

  51. firethecannons Says:

we need to trade away some of our players to get draft picks–start with D. White and if Brady does not have a no trade clause–he needs to go also. Donovan Smith would be a great unload also if the price is right. As soon as akeem hicks is healthy–trade him for anything also

  52. Francisco Guzman Says:

This team is in serious trouble with these scores early. Basically their season might be on the line against the rams. Unreal.

  53. Yucs2Bucs Says:

So nice seeing good teams play !!! Not sure how they beat Dallas, but very refreshing seeing good players and coaching.. Comgrats Tampas own Malik Davis on first NFL TD

  54. Francisco Guzman Says:

I am so disgusted watching these scores early. I still feel this comes down to coaching and execution. Lack of adjustments and scheming. I am still waiting for them to fire leftwich at least but they won’t.

  55. Francisco Guzman Says:

Watching the raiders get beaten by the slimy banged up saints is a person example of why coaching matters. Mcdaniels is an awful coach!! So is Todd Bowles!!!

  56. CrackWise Says:

I wonder what the story would read if Brady and the Bucs were in a 4 way tie for the division lead sitting at 4-4 or 5-3?

  57. firethecannons Says:

there are 8 or 9 teams that will be vying for quarterback next year, Bucs need to face up to music after the Rams game and sell D. Smith and D. White and Hicks and Brady anyone else worth dumping? ideas?

  58. DBS Says:

Dolphins put up more points and a better effort than our Bucs. And the hapless Lions come to play. Just disgusting to see and think about what is going on with our team.

  59. firethecannons Says:

noted trade deadline 11/1 need to sell farm now not after our loss to the Rams

  60. Francisco Guzman Says:

DBS I think the fact that it’s at home is what’s more disturbing.

  61. Thugster Says:

Hahahaha, this is a toad bowels hack job if I ever saw it. You have been Rooney ruled Tampa, congrats to all of the hard working season ticket holders. The toad is going to sink this franchise for a decade, you support this, shame on you

  62. SOGGY Says:

Lions are looking better than the bucs.. oh boy…

  63. Francisco Guzman Says:

List you talking about the pittsburgh game and throwing at them. Well someone posted some game tape on YouTube and these wideouts where not getting open in that game consistently. Embarrassing.

  64. Francisco Guzman Says:

Raiders losing to banged up saints teams lol. This is why coaching still matters. This season will prove once again that Bowles is not a head coach in the National football league!!!

  65. DBS Says:

A fake punt. We can’t even run for 1 or 2 yards on 3rd or 4th down.

  66. Francisco Guzman Says:

Well this team is in a dogfight now for the division now. 🤦‍♂️ Having an advantage as well at QB.

  67. IrishTony Says:

I’m not sure if anyone caught Curt Warner’s analysis of Brady’s play from the Racens. Definitely believes there’s a notable decline in decision making/execution. It’s definitely on him (not necessarily the receiver) on several plays.

  68. IrishTony Says:

They need to run White at least 50% of the time. Right now he’s better than Lenny.

  69. IrishTony Says:

Fire BL bring in someone not afraid to coach Brady up (Clyde C)?
    Stop with stupid screens
    Give White more carries.
Hopefully we get Davis and Winfield back. Btw I’m growing tired of Davis’ fragility.

  70. Yucs2Bucs Says:

Just imagine if these Joes paid for season tickets and would say 95 percent on here are lucky and watch it on the couch !! They put Todd as the coach on Brady who’s hurt physically and Pete Davidson emotionally and I was there Thursday and what QB goes 8 and out and almost 3 ints and isn’t benched ? Put Blaine in and let’s see what happens and anyone that thinks they will turn it around must also believe the earth is flat. I got duped and watching these overweight, out of shape, sorry losers called a team play is horrible and guarantee Atlanta wins the division easily !!! Remember we should be 2 and 6, but what Brady wants Brady gets ( minus Gronk who’s smart ) and looks good .. huh ? It’s a complete sheet show and nice watching football today and good coaching and passionate players. Trade everyone, but Whirfs and end this debacle or “ The greatest lie ever sold to Buc Fans “

  71. Jmarkbuc Says:

    We need a legitimate GM.

For crying out loud.. this one was hired by Lovie.

I can see that, he has little faith in anyone other than Evans, Godwin, Wirfs and probably D Smith

  73. Francisco Guzman Says:

IrishTony that comes down to trust. This team has only has two wideouts. They’re not getting any production from the 3rd spot and don’t talk about the tight ends. They don’t have any.

  74. Mike Johnson Says:

Like I’ve said a million times. Got no problem with Fans blaming the coaches. Thats fine. But lets include a hell of a lot more of the elves also like Licht and Brady..And Hicks, Randolph, Julio down by the schoolyard and a few others. We are down 3 starting O linemen. And A D line Tampa catholic HS could probably run thru. Brady looks worn out, old, agitated and slow as molasses. He’s been under, overthrowing targets. Hell, he has even been missing outlets. yet you fans blame Leftwich for that? Time to give Brady his rocking chair guys. If we lose to LA next week, A lot of paper bags will start coming out. And I don’t think we beat LA.

  75. Scooter Says:

About 5 years ago Brady’s Dad said it is going to end badly for Tommy because he thinks he can play forever.

  76. Francisco Guzman Says:

Mike Johnson i am not believing anything about brady. There has been distractions but the simple fact is that our coaching staff blows and to top it off they only have two consistent weapons on offense. Gage has been absolute dog crap. What a horrible acquisition. Miller has done nothing etc. No tight end production.

  77. DBS Says:

Miami had a great play for the TD. Direct handoff. Not 3 attempts up the gut with 1st and goal. BL would never in his wildest dreams have come up with that.

  78. Francisco Guzman Says:

Will BL be fired before the rams game? Doubt it.

  79. Jmarkbuc Says:

If BA was kept around to keep sh*t straight, he should commence getting sh*t straight.

  80. DBS Says:

So the Stinking Panthers were tanking? Funny way to do it looks like to me

  81. Alanbucsfan Says:

Bucs need a DLineman and strong safety that can defend the edge.

  82. Francisco Guzman Says:

Falcons score. 31-28z this is what happens when you depend on other teams to do your dirty work cause you can’t win games at home. Sad.

  83. Buccos Says:

Licht looking stupid for not resigning Suh and JPP. Sorry bud. The truth hurts sometimes it’s

  84. The Beer Whisperer Says:

Brady started missing throws badly, last year.
Half-way through the season, I was sure he recognized this and would retire.
    (but nope)

To me, Brady has looked worse with each game, this year.
I don’t even care what stats say. Wipe your tail with PFF. It don’t pass the eye test.

I like Brady, and it pains me to see him playing like anything other than championship level.

Some fans may be living in denial. But I ain’t.

  85. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Brady isn’t setting his feet because when he takes the time to do that, he gets hit. He doesn’t feel comfortable behind that offensive line.

The two lines are where the biggest issues are. On the Oline, we have backups of backups playing.

On the Defensive line, we let two key players walk away…now, with Shaq down, it’s going to be even worse.

I don’t know if I agree that Leftwich should go. He and Brady are working with what they’re stuck with.

I like Bowles as a DC, and injuries have struck the entire team, so there is that…but I never liked the idea of him being Head Coach.

Unfortunately, we cannot demote either of them. The public hit would be worse than if they were fired.

Licht and the owners are going to have to do this:

Fire Bowles. Make Leftwich interim head coach. This team is not going to do more than get marginally better, if at all. Leftwich might surprise us by being a good head coach. Maybe not.

But either way, this season is toast. It’s all about the draft pick at this point.

Even if we somehow win the division, what would it mean? A one and done in the playoffs?

It’s a shame, because I like most of the coaching staff…but we are at a point where we must fire the HC and though Leftwich might surprise us as a HC, it’s unlikely.

That means a new HC and new staff next year.

There’s now no way around it.

  86. Francisco Guzman Says:

Looking at the falcons schedule it’s very weak . I mean the bucs need to find a something against the rams and win but they’re not changing this coaching staff 🤦‍♂️.

  87. Francisco Guzman Says:

@The Beer Whispering if you think Brady is the whole problem you’re wrong! There has been distractions with Brady but he’s far from the problem. Bucs should put brady on the trade market and watch a bunch of contenders line up. If they’re not gonna make changes on this coaching catch then trade brady and see what you can get.

  88. Mike S Says:

Bucs aren’t going to win another game this season. We’re looking at a high 2023 draft pick minimum top five.

This is a bad football team.

  89. Francisco Guzman Says:

@Mike S it’s poorly coached football team with no accountability towards the players. The players clearly have given up on Bowles. I hope they trade brady because they sure are not gonna do anything with this coaching staff.

  90. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

As to the future of Tom Brady, it’s clear to me he’s done with the Buccaneers. He’s still a great QB.

Maybe his personal struggles have gotten a little in his head this year, or maybe its the injuries everywhere, but can anyone see him sticking around for the Bucs next year?

I’m sure Jason Licht and the owners don’t.

And there are no big name guys out there to bring in as Head Coach…I mean, maybe if some team is dumb enough to give up on a good one?

And, Joe, you’re not ready to shovel dirt on the season? Over the past decade, you have done so at 3 or 4 early season losses…what’s stopping you now?

    Is it Brady?

I can see if it is, but ask yourself this: will the team suddenly get healthier around him? There’s only so much a QB can do, even if he is the best ever.

  91. Rod Munch Says:

If we got rid of Leftwich, we win this division running away.

  98. The Beer Whisperer Says:

Hey Francisco, I don’t think, nor, have I ever said or insinuated Brady is the whole problem. Or even half the problem.

I don’t know how you are coming to this conclusion.

This team has under-performed, across the board, top to bottom.

Tell me I’m wrong, “wise one”

  99. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Time to start thinking about life after Brady. Great player surrounded by too much horrible right now. If I were him, I’d retire again. Right now. Why risk his health at this point?

Start thinking about picks and building bait for a new head coach.

    Trade Evans while you can.

  100. Redeemer Says:

Defense, I agree about him not trusting the pocket. When he gets good pass pro, he looks great. But it’s too inconsistent. Brady went through a stage with the Patriots, when he saw ghost pressure. He has little confidence in this group. IDC who you are if you don’t trust your line, it looks like this. Good point

  101. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Rod Munch, to be fair, Leftwich isn’t the only problem. Bowles is. Injuries are. Lefty is a little. Not that it matters. Both are gone after this year.

  102. kyle Says:

The season is over guys.. sorry to kill your fall.. If i were the bucs, id politely ask brady to move on next year, even if he wants to play. Time to rebuild and figure out qb1 of the future.

    ——

I suggested it the other day, but I’ll do so again… Take a midol, drink some cranberry juice, and maybe get a nap in, you’ll feel better in a few days.

Also, as I explained, you literally can’t trade Evans due to the cap — and if you did trade away Evans, you’d be a complete idiot.

Just calm down lady. By this point in your life you should be able to know how your cycles work.

    God bless.

    ————–

Brady is on pace for 4900 yards, 19 TDs, 2 INTs… The issue is the 19 TDs, the Bucs are failing in the redzone, bigly. That can be fixed by just calling a better game. Literally, just call a better game. Watching the game on Amazon Prime, via tha Prime Vision, where you see the whole field, when the Bucs got near the goalline, the Bucs would stop doing what they were doing that got them there. They’d bunch all the players together and having guys running the same plays over and over, namely just crossing routes. Teams sit in a zone, in many cases with 8 back, and there’s nowhere to go with the ball. There’s no adjusts made at all. It’s just the same few plays, again and again (for the most part, I’m not talking in absolutes).

What that tells me is that the offense can absolutely be fixed. They’re scoring TDs at a 45% rat in the redzone, normally it’s around 65%. If they got anywhere near 65%, tah dah, the offense is fixed.

So how do you fix it? Have a competent OC that actually has a feel for the game and makes adjustments.

Bowles was forced to take on Leftwich when he got the job. To be clear, I did not, do not, want Bowles as coach, but the defense hasn’t been the problem. With last years offense, this defense would have us at 7-1 right now as only the KC game was out of reach.

But injuries is a huge issue, I will agree there. But the offense line is young and will get better, so that’s your counter.

The season isn’t lost IF we got competent coaching on offense. If Arians was inserted to ‘helping’ Leftwich during the game, we’d actually see a giant improvement. If stupid Leftwich is left in place, then nothing will change unless Brady just starts ignoring his stupid play calling and calls everything himself, which could be as simple as playing the whole game in the hurry up.

  105. Rod Munch Says:

    PANTHERS LOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!!!!!

This is one of the dumbest endings to a game I’ve ever seen. If these clowns finish ahead of us, then yeah, everyone from Licht down should be placed into a paper shredder.

But it’s a long season still, so calm down.

  106. Francisco Guzman Says:

Carolina misses a 32 yard field goal. What a joke lol. What an awful L that was to that team. Smh

Rod Munch this team is going nowhere if changes are not made on this coaching staff.
    —–

There’s one change that must be made, that’s Leftwich, he should not be calling games on his own. If they convince, bribe, blackmail Arians into getting on a headset and ‘advising’ Leftwich during the game, we’ll see a dramatic improvement overnight.

As for Bowles, all he does is deal with the defense, and the defense was literally missing 6-starters by the time the defense started to fall apart vs the Ravens. They dominated in the first half, conversely.

Bowles, again, isn’t my guy, but he’s fine for a season with a veteran team.

All the struggles of the team can be fixed by improve that redzone number. It’s not hopeless, not in the NFC South where these other teams are clowns. If the offense can just improve some, the team has enough talent to get into the playoffs – and if they get hot at the end of the year, well, I’m not betting against Brady in the playoffs.

  110. BUCkleup Says:

Division being gifted to us and we still can’t close the deal. Any takers on us rebounding against the Rams? Need life on D and O Line.

  111. Listnfrmafar Says:

@Yuc, you have 4 stadium seats? Now that’s funny, yuc, yuc. Now I hope they sit Brady and play Gabbert or Trask so we can hear at the seasons end how you ground your teeth to sawdust, yuc,yuc

  112. Redeemer Says:

Rod, the bucs will probably win the division by default. Are you going to champion this group after winning a wretched division at 9-8? You keep saying it’s a long season, it’s half over. They are what they. It’s as much a talent issue as it is coaching. I see no scenario where this team is anything but one and done. That maybe success to you, but this team was considered superbowl contenders. they may actually host a team with a better record. Historically those teams have gone nowhere

Rod, the bucs will probably win the division by default. Are you going to champion this group after winning a wretched division at 9-8?

    ————

Well, I doubt they get to 9-8, it would probably be 8-9.

But for them to win 8 or 9 games, which is 5 or 6 more wins than they have now, it means something has changed on the offense, likely it means Leftwich isn’t calling the plays – or at least has someone ‘assisting’ him.

So, with a offense NOT called by Leftwich, would I champion a team headed by Brady going into the playoffs?

    Ummm, yes, I absolutely would.

Also, there isn’t a team in the NFC that would want to come to Tampa to face Brady and the Bucs in the first round. It doesn’t mean they’d win the SB, but the NFC is very weak, and if the Bucs got hot… well, they just need to get into the playoffs, then anything can happen.

But we’re a long way from that unless changes are made on the offensive coaching side.

  114. Buc4evr Says:

Bye TB12, it’s been great but you don’t have a coach or teammates that can support you this year. Sad way to go out….divorced and at the bottom of the NFL. Shame on you Jason, Bowles and Leftwich for letting this happen.

  117. Bucs Fan Since ‘76 Says:

We lost a HOF HC who was an offensive genius with his own system. We replaced him with a great DC who also was a failed HC. Let’s start there. Does the team look like they play with the same fire and energy? No.

On offense, we did not replace Arians. BL has total control now and works for a defensive coach who again, failed previously as a head man. He does not have his own system. He never had success as an OC prior to joining Arians here. Does the offense have the same look and attacking style it showed the previous three seasons? No.

Next, no Gronk, no AB, no speed at WR, two rookie TE’s, a rookie backup RB, a star WR coming off an ACL, no Ali Marpet, a Pro Bowl Guard, and no Ryan Jensen, a Pro Bowl Center. Oh, and Brady is 45 years old and has been dealing with a divorce.

Next, no Suh, no JPP, a rookie DT, and a second year OLB who played very little in college.

We are older and slower. We have less talent, and we did not replace a HOF HC. That pretty well explains everything to me.

  118. mark2001 Says:

’76. Alot of things have worked against us this year. I wonder if we had known Marpet was leaving, if we might have pushed harder to keep Cappa? Those two plus Jensen’s injuries certainly put us behind the eight ball. But I’m not sure we couldn’t get more than a sixth-round pick as some would say, if we would trade a couple good players that we won’t likely be able to resign next year. I do think if we don’t start looking to the future now, it may be a number of years before we all have something substantial to smile about regarding this team.

  119. mark2001 Says:

And please remember. Carolina and Atlanta are already in a rebuild mode. The Saints will always be tough. I want us to rebuild before we are looking at being the South doormat for a few years.

  120. JimmyJack Says:

While we are asking why Byron isnt fired can we also ask if this offense is what Tom wanted? This certainly hasent been the biscuit offense, is it possible Tom used his power to get BA to step down so he and Byron could draw up this offense weve bern seeing?

Im not big on peddling conspiracys but the way this team plays it smells like internal problems to me(we Bucs fans have seen this before)………..The pieces fit pretty nicely that Tom strong armed the owners to get Bruces red pen away from the gameplanning. Not hard to imagine something like that would upset a lot of people and divide a lockeroom.

This might sound silly but wojld also explain a lot, including why they didnt fire Byron.

  121. JimmyJack Says:

Under the radar piece of evidence that there are internal problems is the Cole Beasley issue. Very bizarre situation, smells like he got a wiff of this lockeroom and told the Bucs to kiss his white ass.

  122. mark2001 Says:

Jimmy… Or maybe Brady thought Arians would be back. And the rug was pulled out from underneath him when Arians retired, and Bowles was made HC.

  123. mark2001 Says:

I mean Jimmy. At that point what could Brady do? Say, I don’t want to play for Bowles, and I retire again?

  124. Redeemer Says:

Defense, I have confidence in Brady, it’s everyone else I question. The days of him willing his team to victory are gone. He needs help. I’ve said Brady will have the ball in his hands, with a chance to go to the NFC title game. I’m not sure of that anymore. I guess it depends on how they’re playing. Unless something changes, nobody will be afraid to face Brady in the playoffs. Actually it’ll be quite the opposite. They’ll smell blood in the water.

  125. Redeemer Says:

Kind of like when Tennessee came into Gillette, and punked the Patriots

  126. mark2001 Says:

Actually, Brady looks more like a guy that had the rug pulled out from under him when Bowles became HC, or a guy that gave Bowles a chance and doesn’t really believe in him now. And he is going through the motions as best he can make himself do.

  127. mark2001 Says:

And really, why would Brady believe in Bowles anymore? There is a guy that torched one of the biggest comebacks in Bucs history against the Rams by his play calling. Here is a guy that signed off on Suh and JPP not being brought back, while Hicks and a draft pick were expected to replace them. A guy that can’t seem to reign in White. That has Vea playing out of his Pro bowl gap position last year. And frankly, Bowles hasn’t proven himself to be a quality HC, like Belichick and Arians. So why should he be inspired to play beyond his 45 years of age? It is only his professionalism that keeps him going at this point.

  128. JimmyJack Says:

Mark that scenario could be true as well. I do know there was a red pen narritive and some were saying Brady pushed Arians out……We wont find out anytime soon, maybe never.

If we ever do hear what happened it will be like 2012 where we were all pissed how bad the team was only to find out 7 years later Kellen Winslow was a disgusting pervert which explain why that team didnt really give a F.

  129. Listnfrmafar Says:

Redeemer, that was a coaching screw up, if you recall on a 2nd & 1 on Teen goaline not sure if it was McDaniels or Belichick ran the same play 3 times in a row and the same run blitzing lb made the tackle all three times.

  130. Listnfrmafar Says:

I do believe now BA quit to leave Bowels with a winning team when Brady agreed to come back. It backfired because Toilet Bowels and Leftnuts lack of competence is so strong even the best QB of all time cannot overcome it. BA for a guy who could NEVER keep his mouth shut has said NOTHING, he knows exactly what he did to this franchise.

  131. Cobraboy Says:

Sorry, but there isn’t ONE game on the Bucs schedule anyone can check as a “win.”

  132. Cobraboy Says:

@mark: I suspect you can count the players who believe in this coaching staff on one hand.

  133. Redeemer Says:

Listn, that team was DOA. They lost to the last place dolphins the week before, costing them a bye. Then, Derrick Henry runs for nearly 200 yards. They could’ve and should’ve won that game, but the scoreboard doesn’t lie. Besides the horrendous coaching,.I see lots of similarities between that group and this one.
Like you, I believed in the Brady pushed out BA theory. But BA didn’t pick the new head coach, Licht did. I can’t understand why he picked bowles, other than his options were limited at the time. I’ve said this before. The whole operation looks cobbled together last minute.

  134. Tim R. Says:

The offensive line is so bad. It can’t run or pass block. Brady is so slow at moving to escape the pass rushers. He is not getting enough time to look over what is available. Without a decent running attack the defense is coming after Brady. I don’t see how this can improve so I don’t think it will win more than three additional games. I truly hope that I am wrong.

  135. Robert A Webb Says:

As a patriot fan since the day Brady’s first threw. I watched every game five times over at least, yeah we’ll take some blame on Brady’s part, but what about the line, how come Lenny and White can’t run and are basically stood up every time they get the ball, that’s the line not clearing a lane, what happened to Evans, ball in his hands the week before, dropped, how about the week before, Scotty Miller played, dropped, how about Rudolph, dropped give me a break. Oh and that 48 point game, Oh Ya ,the defense didn’t show up I do as soon as I see Bowls as the head coach. I knew it was over before it got started I watched them play against the Patriots

  136. mark2001 Says:

Cobra… I think you could count on one hand, the number of fans that know as much about this game as you do, or even a lesser amount as I do, that still believe in Bowles and Lefty in charge of the Defense and Offense.

  137. Crickett Baker Says:

The coach that needs to go, FIRST, is Joe Gilbert. He is a true idiot and coaches the offensive line. I have noticed that many great coaches act like little kids. Bowles acts like an adult, trying to keep himself under control. He may just need more time.

  138. mark2001 Says:

There is one. Bowles had years in NY. Didn’t work. Next year he will be likely starting a new young QB, with the same problems on Defense and lack of discipline, and btw… who would want to come as OC and work for short timer Bowles? A year ago, Gilbert was great, so many said. I think you are barking up the wrong tree.

  139. Beeej Says:

    “The Beer Whisperer Says:

Brady started missing throws badly, last year.
Half-way through the season, I was sure he recognized this and would retire.
    (but nope)

To me, Brady has looked worse with each game, this year.
I don’t even care what stats say. Wipe your tail with PFF. It don’t pass the eye test.

I like Brady, and it pains me to see him playing like anything other than championship level.

Some fans may be living in denial. But I ain’t.”

Last season, he threw for 5300 yards and 43 touchdowns. At present, he leads the NFL in passing yards. If you’re looking for people to bench, keep going

  140. SaltyBucsFan Says:

I like how people are defending BL by pointing he was the OC during the past 2 seasons. Uh, yeah. We know that. We also know that it was Bruce Arians’ playbook he was calling plays from. He’s incapable of creating a scheme for one of the most talented rosters in the league and was only ever a coach because Bruce liked him. If you can’t score enough points to bring this team to at least a 500 record midseason, then you are a quack. The offensive line is no excuse. Brady gets the ball out quicker than anyone in the league. Fire his ass. NOW.

  141. Boodidley Says:

To everyone blasting Brady. You want him to literally pick up these losers and carry them on his 45 year old back. He is a human and no human can fix this shirtstorm simglehandedly. Tell me a player that can win DESPITE their coaches and teammates… go ahead TELL ME or shut up. Brady at 80% is plenty capable of winning a super bowl…. With a well coached team. 2017 Brady could not win with this team. They are quitters and poorly coached. Listen to Wade Phillips. Brady is fine. He misses a. Few throws. You never noticed before because we were winning. He’s always missed a few throws jack. He is playing scared because he doesn’t TRUST anyone he plays with. He has done that before too and made it to the championship game or SB because the team was well coached. It’s a team game. I feel like you have all forgotten that. He is great with disciplined hard working teammates. He cannot be great surrounded half azz players and coaches.

  142. C2asante Says:

That guy List is too far up in Brady to face the reality that the once greatest QB is slipping. He quit last year with an obvious plan to go to Miami. When BA stated emphatically he would play for the Bucs or not play this year, he reluctantly came back but clearly his head and heart is not in it. Assuming he is still good enough to play next year, it won’t be here. The entire team is out of sync and there is enough blame to spread around, but to blame two coaches and act like Brady is solely responsible when they win, but bears no culpability for losses is to be blindly loyal like that dummy list.

  143. Ed Says:

Alll you need is effort and pride. Bucs have neither. They all need to play harder and be mentally into the game. Play as a team and mesh. Season can be turned around if this team steps up and dominates instead of being dominated.

There has been lack of effort which reflects poorly on Bowles.

Team has been so soft and undisciplined. As professionals get it together and make plays. A chance for redemption against the Rams. Let’s see if they can punch back and put on a show for the home fans.

They have been so disappointing in Tampa. Time to turn it on or fizzle out as losers. Last chance next week

  144. Crickett Baker Says:

Last year we had an o-line that probably didn’t need a lot of coaching, Mark. IDK. We are all barking up trees. Maybe one is a good one.

  145. Rod Munch Says:

You guys are spoiled and have no idea what you’re talking about. Because an offensive line is not elite, does not mean it’s bad. The line has been very average, these are the line issues the majority of teams in the NFL are dealing with. If the line was bad, Brady would be getting killed each week, and he’s not.

As far as pass blocking goes, they’re middle of the road. As far as run blocking guys, who knows, since they mostly only run in obvious run situations where the defense has extra defenders in the box, so you have 4 defenders and 3 blockers. But when we run in non-obvious run situations, they’ve been fine.

The other thing is the offensive line is mostly young, and should improve as the year goes along. We just need to stay in the race and hopefully make a run at the end of the year.

  146. Hot Dog Seller Says:

It’s so sad to watch this she’ll of a man trade his life with his wife and kids for a few more games. If he gets a life-changing injury…i don’t even want to think about it.

Man obviously cares more about football than any other thing in the world. Which is pathetic and sad.

  147. Listnfrmafar Says:

C2(must be a star wars fan) Brady is a victim of a poorly managed team’s as many of the others still fighting on this team. It’s the guys like Vea, White and others that are under performing. Brady leads the NFC in passing and is probably 4th or 5th in the league with 1 count them 1 int. Low and high balls prevent turnovers. Can you imagine if he was turning the ball over what the haters posts would be? The lack of td’s stem from no end zone target, no running game and poor play calling. Could he be slipping sure, 5300 yds and 50+ td’s were you expecting him to do that again without AB & Gronk? Gronk was an easy 1000 + yd receiver if not the rib injury. Who has replaced them. Have some coon sense this isn’t science fiction.

  148. Delco Says:

    @ Passing Thru

Is that what happened? Good to see that you still want to be around. “Hey Joe, let the man thru.”

  149. Rudy Says:

Oh, BL has naked pics of somebody high up on that team. No doubt about it. Nothing he does or has done is enough for someone to say “enough!”

  150. Rudy Says:

Oh, and by the way, stop saying Brady “traded” his life with family for football. There was trouble brewing at home long before this season. Gisele’s grinding Brazilian personality and forward ways would make any man want to be away at football instead of at home trying to execute a routine. Unless I’m wrong and she’s the shy, quiet type at home, I’m pretty sure she’s like nails on a chalkboard that no amount of physical beauty can mask. I doubt TB ditches kids for career. He’s a family man and even his son with BM gets plenty of dad time. That should say a lot

  151. TampabayDJ82 Says:

@Bucsfansince76 – I read you’re first comment and the couple above you. You are 100% CORRECT my friend ! Thank you for not being one of these bandwagon fake fans, same goes for the comments above yours. Only people on the Bucs that are at fault are the front office who should have traded whatever they could to get a new LG especially when Aaron Stinnie went down. Same goes for the WORST signing in Bucs history in Hicks ! Vita and SUH were unbeatable. They let a guy who has never missed a game to injury walk for a guy who had 1 good year way back in 2018 and has been injured every year since. We could of had Robert Quinn for a 4th round pick !!?? Really ?? And they do nothing to improve the team ? I remember the super bowl year they were trading for players left and right. Crazy as f. But I’m not giving up on our Bucs. Everyone in the NFC besides the Eagles are playing like poop and we already beat the Cowgirls. It’s these fake fans that listen to outside media and believe it.
