Carlton Davis Is Out For Stinking Panthers Game

October 22nd, 2022

Cornerback Carlton Davis

The Bucs just updated their injury report for tomorrow’s game at Carolina and it is not good news.

Carlton Davis will miss the game with his hip injury. Joe is guessing facing a spiraling team like the Stinking Panthers, perhaps the Bucs can skate by without Davis, their No. 1 cornerback, and No. 3 corner Sean Murphy-Bunting, who is out with a bad quad.

Also, the Bucs activated offensive lineman Josh Wells from the injured reserve list.

The injuries just never end with this fuqn team. Unbelievable

  2. Goatfarmer Says:

    Great.

  3. gotbbucs Says:

I really don’t know how they could possibly consider not paying or at the very least franchising Dean this offseason. Carlton Davis is not a #1 corner.

  4. Gofortheface30 Says:

Don’t care. Shall we go over who’s out for the panthers? With the talent discrepancy between these two teams, winning 19-16 is unacceptable. This, in theory anyway, should be a statement game. And it’s time to make a statement. Style points DO matter. It’s a cop out to suggest otherwise. Super Bowl winning teams win this kind of game 42-10. Ya, we’ll see how that players only meeting works – it’s time to stop being soft and stop f’ing around

  5. Kody Says:

I just want to see the Bucs score a TD in the first quarter.

They can’t go more than 6 games without a Q1 TD, right?… Right!?

  6. Redeemer Says:

Damn MASH unit down there. I don’t know if it’s bad luck, or the law of averages. Injuries killed them last year too. Whoever the condition coach is, I’d show him the door

  7. SufferingSince76 Says:

Yay. Josh Wells to the rescue.

  8. Ed Says:

Have to agree, Jamel Dean is a better football player than Carlton Davis. Dean is playing lights out this year. Of course its a contract year and he deserves to be well paid. He has become more physical and doesn’t get beat.

  9. Letsbucinggo Says:

Strength and conditioning coaching is almost none existent on this team Brady seems to be the only player in top shape and hes 45 thats says it all.

  10. dmatt Says:

What’s up with practice squad cb Don Gardner? He played some good ball during preseason. Let’s get him some PT.

  11. adam from ny Says:

dean is the unspoken #1 cb…he’s playing well…

they’ll be fine with dean and smb…

maybe trade cd3 with vaughn in a serious trade for ol,te, or dl…

leave cd3 in carolina and come home with a d lineman…

    the ole swapperoonie…

prolly won’t happen with his contract, but i’d do it if they’ll take him

  12. adam from ny Says:

at least bring back dj moore on the bucs plane
    😉

  13. adam from ny Says:

cd3 is actually a very good coverage corner…but all the other intangibles beyond coverage, he is just average or below average at…

he just doesn’t produce turnovers – it’s not really part of his game…

he’s just a very good coverage dude

  14. Adrnagy Says:

    C. Davis and dean are good CB. What makes them look bad at times is when line up 10-15 yards off the line of scrimmage. Either they get burn , penalty or too hard to close in on a tackle.

Bowles should of went after Steelers QB right off the start. Put pressure. Bowles needs to do this tomorrow with pj . Don’t sit back and let this qb get comfortable.

  15. Defense Rules Says:

Redeemer … ‘Whoever the condition coach is, I’d show him the door’.

Well let’s see, besides firing the Strength & Conditioning coach, JBFers also want us to fire OC Leftwich and HC/DC Bowles. And let’s not forget the Special Teams coach Armstrong; he obviously needs to be ‘shown the door’ after allowing that 89-yard return last game. BA should surely go also because, oh ya, he doesn’t do anything. I’m sure we could find several more on this coaching staff to fire & make it an even dozen. Round numbers are important.

SOMETIMES though, firing folks isn’t the answer to the problem. You never know, MAYBE some of those coaches can be ‘redeemed’ by fixing some of our other problems. But then again, with a handle like REDEEMER you’d know more about that than I do.

  16. A40train Says:

Davis has not played good at all this season. Dean is a better corner ..

  17. tampabayallday Says:

    Trade CD, extend Dean.

  18. ClwJB Says:

SMB and Davis out – Dean Delaney and McCollum at CB?

Panthers fans are saying PJ is horrible, but the bears fans said same about Mitch

Don’t be shocked if we barely win

How much you wanna bet this off season all we hear about is getting younger to stay healthier overall…..

  19. adam from ny Says:

just remembered smb is out with the quad…

what a shame…dude’s been sitting most of the season, waiting his turn…his turn pops up and he can’t pop off…

oh well…his time in tampa might be getting short…

    unless they do trade cd3

  20. Ugotrobbed Says:

What a mess of a team!

  21. SB Says:

    EVERYTHING Gofortheface30 said.

Also some of you late comer and fair weather fans need to Chill the F out.
Your voice doesn’t resonate well with true Bucs fans that have sat through 14 straight losing season and still been a Fan.
But a great deal of that is today’s culture I guess.

  22. Bucfan1988 Says:

I look forward to seeing what McCollum can do this game…
    Dude is a premiere athlete…

  23. Tvan101 Says:

Get Davis healthy for Thursday night against the Ravens.

  24. Capt.Tim Says:

Getting Wells back is a big deal. Our O- line needs some continuity. Wells has played with The O- line for a couple years.
    It will help.

Davis out hurts- but Thursday is more of a challenge.

  25. Francisco Guzman Says:

This is like a curse with this team. It’s a must win if you asked me.

  26. Beeej Says:

Speaking of Wells, have we been doing the 12 formation much this year?

  27. BucU Says:

This team is weak mentally and weak physically.

  28. Listnfrmafar Says:

DR, look up the definition of insanity, you’re likely to see Bowles and Leftitch’s names as examples.

  29. ClwJB Says:

    SB, 14 years hahahahahahahahahahaha

First game was 76 – my kid is more than twice that time span LOL

Let the real original fans have their peace and understand your place

  30. LoveMeSomeBucs Says:

I mean geez….who is the strength and conditioning coach for the Bucs…Louie Anderson….never seen so many hamstring and muscle injuries

  31. Eddie Says:

I am not to concerned with the injuries of defense. The team played spectacular defense with the back ups most of the hear last year. Those back ups became much better players for it. This year it’s all offense injuries , bad play calling and game prep is what’s killing them this year.

  32. DoooshLaRue Says:

Bye bye Bunting, you’re just too dam fragile.

  33. Slacker Says:

Ya like this team can afford to “skate” against anyone. They are playing bad enough to where other teams can “skate” against them.

  34. BucU Says:

With the Thursday night match up w the Ravens right after the Carolina game the next ten days are going to tell us alot about the direction this team is going to go
I can see 4-4 on the horizon. Middle of the road.

  35. TJ Says:

Carlton Davis is NOT our Number 1 corner. Not even close THIS year. I’d rather have him sit out and try to get healthy so he can compete to earn the No. 1 corner spot back from Dean.

  36. RGA Says:

This Bucs team doesn’t skate by anyone.

  37. Rand Says:

If you sit for a soft tissue injury you should only get half pay. We need some incentives to get these guys to play with bumps and bruises. It seems the days of Ronnie Lott and Troy Polamalu are gone.
