Defends Playoff Lenny.
Nobody appreciates a manster up front to block for him like a running back. And few things get offensive linemen stoked when they can blow up a defender to spring a running back for a big gain.
So it was not surprising to Joe that this morning after the Bucs’ second training camp practice of 2022, beastly right tackle Tristan Wirfs had Playoff Lenny’s back.
Remember the controversy a couple of weeks ago? That Playoff Lenny ballooned on cajun grub back home all offseason and was pushing perhaps 260 pounds? Well, Wirfs today pushed back on any suggestion Playoff Lenny had eaten his way into the second coming of Ralphie May.
“Lenny is awesome,” Wirfs said of Playoff Lenny’s condition. “I’ve seen him work all offseason. I’ve seen him around here a couple of times. It’s just people on Twitter trying to get a laugh.
“I know he is ready to go and everyone else around here does too. Regular Season Lenny is just balling soon and I’m excited.”
So there you have it. Not only did Bucs coach Todd Bowles mock this storyline yesterday. Now the Bucs’ All-Pro right tackle said everything is good.
If they are good with Playoff Lenny and his conditioning, so too is Joe.

Big men can run. They don’t need a 5’8” and 180 lbs. Fournette. They need well rested, angry 6’ 230-250 lbs. Leonard the Destroyer.
Even if he was 260 lbs. at some point — and there is only some schmuck who estimated his weight — in a month of training, he would drop 20 lbs. or more.
It’s training camp not mid season.

These days the media makes a big deal about every, and anything. Back in the day no one questioned a back like Earl Campbell’s weight, or Ironhead Hayward’s.

Twitter gonna piss Lenny off and we gonna get an even more motivated Playoff Lenny. Also Wirfs just sounds like a good guy, very happy and positive.

It was leaked that the bucs organization thought it was a big deal so seems it was a big deal. Do people think his team mates and coach were gonna trash him publicly before the season starts, hmm ok. At any rate hope he gets his stuff together for bucs.

Rick Stroud has started to become a bit of a d!ck, as his stories (click bait) are stirring up trouble. He is the one who reported about the AB fake vax card. I know that he is “doing his job”, but seem like he is writing to get clicks (maybe that is how he gets paid).
