“To Me, It’s The Same”
May 31st, 2022It seems Jamel Dean gets his backside chewed by Todd Bowles from time to time.
Joe guesses this because of the way Dean, the veteran Bucs corner, says former Bucs defensive coordinator and new head coach Todd Bowles treats him.
After underwear football practice today, Dean, now in his fourth Tampa Bay season, was asked how Bowles may be different running the whole show versus the past three years when he was defensive coordinator.
Dean said there really isn’t a difference.
“Well, to me it’s the same,” Dean said, struggling not to break out laughing. “Because I still get the same treatment. So… ” and then Dean broke out laughing. Asked what type of treatment he gets, Dean explained.
“I get the sarcasm,” Dean said. “Always up my butt. So [laughs again], it’s no different for me.”
Well, whatever it takes.
Dean has had really good games and some games you don’t want to remember them. Dean said this being a contract year, he’s going to treat it as if he’s playing his last season.
Dean didn’t elaborate but he didn’t have to. He’s already said he’s gunning for a fat contract.

If Dean can step up and get to that next level our secondary will be dominate.

Welp great cornerbacks don’t fall out the sky BUT I’ve never really put a lot of stock in DEAN after watching him in person disappoint me time after time but hey even a blind squirrel can find a nut every once in awhile so hopefully he has his best year yet. If there’s one thing we know about this regime is that they can develop young talent!

Dean has the talent, if he can stay healthy and truly motivated he’ll star and some team will back up the Brinks truck for him.
