Ko Kieft: Minnesota Coaches Stressed Physicality So He Delivered

Rookie Bucs tight end (?) Ko Kieft came to Tampa with perfect timing.
Rookie minicamp started today and he learned that last night his small northwestern Iowa hometown of Sioux Center (population: 8,229), about a 20-minute drive from the Nebraska border, was hit by a tornado.
Kieft said everything was fine back home and all is good. Big Ten defenders cannot say the same battling Kieft in games the past few years.
Kieft comes to the Bucs with a reputation for being one ornery dude. Think a p!ssed off Ryan Jensen on every play.
Watching Kieft on the practice fields of One Buc Palace today, he looks the part. Dude is big and built. He almost dwarfs fellow rookie tight end Cade Otton (who looks smaller than Cam Brate).
Simply put, Kieft appears like one bad mofo you do not want to fool within a dark alley. His chest sticks out like most dudes’ beer guts.
Asked from where he developed his on-field WWE heel reputation, Keift said his coaches at Minnesota (including former Schiano Man and Bucs wide receivers coach P.J. Fleck) heavily emphasized that offensive players must have a strong, physical style. Kieft said he just obliged his coaches’ directions.
Joe thinks Kieft will quickly become a fan favorite. He wears a fullback number (41) and looks like he just stepped out of central casting for a biker movie.
Kieft sure looks the part of a guy defenders do not want to tangle with on the football field. Or off the field.
Now, if he can only play the part.

Offensive lineman need to have that fire and battle in the trenches every play. They need to be real tone setters! Having Jensen right next to him will be good so the kid knows how far he can take things without getting flagged. I love ornery lineman right up to getting flagged, unless it’s protecting a player. But being that mean ornery doesn’t help none of you’re always getting flagged. And I hope he doesn’t get pegged like Jensen where the refs come to him at the beginning of each game asking him if he’ll play nice today.

Kieft is a Dutch last name. However, it is a well known Fact that people from Holland have a Ton of Viking Genetics. Perhaps that is the reason why the Dutch are the worlds tallest people ?
