Bucs’ Week 3 Home Opener Is Against Green Bay

May 12th, 2022

Another Aaron Rodgers pick-6?

What a fun opening schedule!

At the Cowboys on Sunday Night Football, followed by at the slimy Saints and then home for whiny Aaron Rodgers who has a terrible record in warm weather Florida games.

Joe’s smelling 3-0. Anyone else?

Team Glazer has to be drooling, or tripping over their many bags of cash.

If the Bucs get off to a 2-0 start against two strong teams, the home crowd bolstered by legions of bandwagon fans dying to get into The Licht House for a taste of the Bucs. If the Bucs split their first two games or lose (football gods forbid) then the Packers game becomes massively critical to Tampa Bay’s hopes for a No. 1 seed in the NFC playoffs — in September.

What a drama-filled first month of the season. And October kicks off with the Chiefs in Tampa on Sunday Night Football.

The Bucs-Packers game is Sunday, Sept. 25, at 4:25 p.m.

We could also start the season 0 and 4. Guys I hate to say it but this team has probably the hardest schedule I’ve ever seen to open the year. We haven’t beat the saints in two years. We barely beat Dallas here last year and dak had a field day. The chiefs are as explosive as anyone. I’m a little worried

    LOL

This could just as easily be an 0-4 start for the Bucs.

  7. Timbucs2 Says:

430? Might as well schedule in the rain/lightning delay.

430pm start? Might as well schedule in the lightning delay.

I wish I shared your optimism Joe. Too many new players, too early in the season, playing against stout physical defenses, on the road, etc.

Looks like one of the toughest schedules wow

  13. Tbtb12 Says:

You’d think WE won the Super Bowl with tat schedule. Does any team have a tougher schedule?

  14. joe2 Says:

    0-4

  15. Bucsfan13 Says:

The schedule is brutal. Maybe spending time with Gisele and kids don’t seem so bad for Mr. Brady.

  16. PSL Bob Says:

We knew we had the 4th hardest schedule in the league, and that was based solely on the 2021 win/loss records. Throw in where those games are played and in what order, and it becomes even tougher.

All this whining from the fan base. LFG!! I look at it like this, you play to win each and every game, one at a time. I see a lot of good teams on our schedule have to come play US. And I for one am glad it ain’t like it was for 5 seasons. A gimme game for the other team. They better bring their A+ game when they play us. We play alot of the strong AFC teams and several strong NFC teams outside of our own very tough NFC South division. The only thing I am looking at as far as the schedule is when we play Atl in Atl, so my wife and I and our Buccaneer fan friends can go and watch the Goat play. And I see it is the last game of our season, before the playoffs. Huzzah!
    LFG!!!
    Go!! Bucs!!
