The Buccaneers’ Remaining Draft Picks

April 28th, 2022

Our beloved Bucs entered the NFL Draft tonight with six draft picks.

Now they have eight and no new players.

The trade down and out of Round 1 happened. (Story is on the home page)

These are the Bucs’ remaining draft picks:

Round 2 – No. 33 overall
Round 2 – No. 60
Round 3 – No. 91
Round 4 – No. 106 (first pick of Round 4)
Round 4 – No. 133
Round 6 – No. 160
Round 7 – No. 248
Round 7 – No. 261

The Bucs are in a very unique position, since they now own the first pick of Day 2 of the NFL Draft. And the first pick of Day 3. That’s a power position usually reserved for the worst team in the league.

Is it possible the Bucs did all this because Tom Brady was busy tonight? 🙂

  1. Pa Privateer Says:

33rd pick is unique because everyone knows who is available for the 2nd round and they have a whole day to balance the draft boards. I have no doubt there will be trade offers for Licht to consider

  2. Austin Says:

    Demarvin Leal please

  3. Tampabaybucfan Says:

I wouldn’t be a bit surprised to see us trade down again…..

There are several really good players available to us at 33……

  4. Joe in Michigan Says:

Is the 6th Round pick 180th? I think 160 is a 5th Round pick, or am I reading that wrong?

  5. Bucaroo Says:

I see the Bucs with the first pick of the sixth round (180).

  6. Bucco Bruce Says:

Happy they picked up capital, sad they literally traded Wyatt for it. I honestly am greedy though and hope we get at least one more day 2 pick using maybe a bit of next year’s picks.

  7. sasquatch Says:

Not sure they wanted Wyatt. If they wanted him, they would’ve stayed at 27. Frankly, not drafting someone with domestic violence charges is a plus. And Wyatt may not be as good a fit for our D as Logan Hall, for instance. Perfect move.

  8. New England Patriots Fan Says:

They should trade up into round 2 and take 3 players

  9. Bird Says:

    Joe

    Booth with first pick tomorrow

  10. Jerry Says:

They will get a bunch of offers tomorrow to trade back again if they want to.

  11. Bird Says:

Bucs get 1st pick of 4th and 1st pick of 6th

Bucs can take booth tomorrow w 33

  12. Steven007 Says:

Austin, I’m a f fan of Leal as well. Would love to get him.

  13. Im not tired anymore we Super Bowl Champs!! Says:

I bet we go Booth then take Dline in the late 2nd. Suh comes back. We all good! Go Bucs!

  14. Joe in Michigan Says:

Booth is still available, Sir Joseph of Bucsfan.

  15. Rod Munch Says:

I wanted Wyatt, but if the off the field stuff is real, then so be it. Then again you’d assume the Packers would do research into him as well, and they took him.

Oh well, I’m not a scout, I could certainly be wrong.

Bucs got 33, still got a bunch of QB’s on the board, so if someone wants one, they might want to trade up and give up more than you’d expect. Also don’t rule out the Bucs shipping out Trask and taking another QB to replace him.

Just kidding, that won’t happen, but the Florida fanbois will have already gone nuts reading that and not made it to this line.

  16. David Says:

For all the pessimistic doomsayers out there just remember, 50% of all the picks that just happened are going to fail miserably.
So relax, lots of great players left for the Buccaneers to pick in the second, third and fourth.

  17. Steven007 Says:

Wyatt was obviously there for the taking. Clearly he was not a target. Could be the off the field issues. Or perhaps they were looking for more of an end than a strictly inside guy. Leal and Hall would both fit that bill in terms of greater versatility. And we’ll see if the safety is still available too.

  18. Tye Says:

Hopefully some team actually sees Willis or Corral or any other qbs as a must have and trades with the Bucs for the 33rd pick, give Bucs more picks…

  19. BradyBucs Says:

With MALIK WILLIS on the board, some QB-needy team will trade up with the Bucs tomorrow.

  20. Posey99 Says:

    Travis Jones

  21. BradyBucs Says:

AND a team that needs a QB will OVERPAY for our pick tomorrow to grab Willis.

    BOOK IT.

  22. bob Says:

    green at 33

  23. Guzzie Says:

ASU punter still on the board jk lol

  24. HC Grover Says:

Brady has the Bat Signal up over Ray Jay!

  25. Guzzie Says:

Some people complained on the draft thread about the 4th n 6th not enough, stfu that’s ammo to move up from 60 or 91

  26. LakelandSteve Says:

Yup, don’t be surprised if the Bucs trade back again tomorrow when round two starts. Not too far but maybe pick up another extra pick in the 3’rd or 4’th round and still get one of the guys they originally targeted in round one.

  27. Drebucsfan Says:

ANDREW BOOTH, is that you?????? I’m going to vomit if we pick a guard or DT with this first pick, SUH is coming back and we need an immediate starter, like BOOTH!

  28. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

I think the move was about the salary cap. By trading out of the first round, they save millions. That can be used to sign or re-sign someone.

  29. Rod Munch Says:

    How about this trade…

Pick (Jimmy Johnson trade chart value)

    Seattle trades 40 (500), 41 (490)
    Bucs trades 33 (580), 60 (300)

Bucs get a bit of a premium since Seattle wants the QB…

    I like it.

Not that I’m sure Seattle will take a QB, although they’d be stupid not to considering Drew Lock stinks.

  30. Guzzie Says:

When you have good coaching every pick is valuable, Morris Schiano Lovie Dirk sucked at coaching up talent

  31. Tampabaybucfan Says:

The problem is that 3 teams that need QBs are in our division…..would we entertain a trade with any of them?

The are probably a couple other QB needy teams that may trade up…..Denver, Washington, Detroit, Houston…..maybe…

But, we are in a good position to trade the 1st pick in the 2nd…..

  32. John Mason Says:

If Joe is right and there is no money for a 1st round pick then I can understand trading out of the 1st round….but on the other hand…this is a weak ass draft this year…the 4th and 6th pick will prob no even make the team…we were so close to getting J.Johnson…No chance at Zion Johnson, he went real early…this could be the worst Bucs draft ever….we will see…I wonder if there are any starters to be drafted…don’t think so.

  33. Steve Says:

    Malik 100%

  34. 1sparkybuc Says:

That ASU punter would have Buc opponents starting from the parking lot.

  35. BucsFan4Life Says:

Bucs should take Malik Willis or Carral they staring us right in the face he has more star potential than Trask plus can trade Trask pick up another pick I know we have needs but what other time can we get the best QB in draft in the second round let them learn a year or 2 under Brady then boom we have QB of the future I know we have Trask but if we talking who I’m betting the future on it’s Willis I would get it if they went Carrol too

  36. HC Grover Says:

Wonder if they can see the Bat Signal out in San Fran Bay?

  37. Winny Testaverde Says:

Denver with Russell Wilson will trade up for a QB? That 33rd pick is pure gold after all!

  38. Steve Y Says:

    Malik 100% – a must for us

  39. Jersey buc Says:

    Dean

  40. Crickett Baker Says:

I like the trade but DAMN! I wish I had known about it sooner so I didn’t have to wait with anticipation for the Buc’s 27th non-existent pick…

  41. sasquatch Says:

We are not taking Willis, just dismiss that nonsense from your head. We need to draft guys who will play this year.

We are in an ideal position to trade with someone who does want Willis.

  42. Mike Says:

Someone is definitely going to come up and make a trade at the top of the 2nd. Hopefully we don’t have to go back too far.

  43. Brian Says:

If someone wants to give a first next year for our pick now. I would jump on it. We are solid. With the rest we have left and fill some needs.

  44. Bucs Guy Says:

I know it was late, but a few things to correct
    1) The best Punter is from San Diego State, not Arizona State
    2) Only teams considering moving up for a QB are Seattle or maybe Detroit. Carolina’s next pick is in the 4th rd, Atlanta is going with Mariota, Saints signed Winston for 2 years, Denver has Russell Wilson and Houston likes their QB.
    3) I would be ecstatic if the Bucs swapped picks with Seattle and got both Hall DT from UH and McBride TE from CSU. Rod Munch called it first. Bucs may have to throw in their 6th or one of the 7th rounders.

  45. nick houllis Says:

lets all agree, there is a guy they want. More than likely, the guy they want is NOT going to go 33-38 or so. I mean they could pick up TWO MORE players, another 3rd another high 4th, for say pick. no. 39 ?? I would do it. Imagine stocking the Bucs with 6 players from the top 110?? would make the post Brady Bucs a lot more palatable. Remember, the Falcons just got a serious WR to go with their serious TE, and next year they will take a franchise QB, 2022 will be glorious, but 2023-2026 we don’t want that to be rebuilding hell.

  46. PassingThru Says:

    I’m thinking Booth too.

Being a broken record, I’d love to see two CBs taken before the end of the 4th round. There’s decent depth at CB in this draft. Grab whatever the tide will bring.

  47. Monty Michael Says:

Pick Willis to learn being Brady. What a better teacher!!

  48. PassingThru Says:

    @Monty Michael

I have a better idea: Let’s not repeat last year’s draft blunder by taking a QB in the second round.

  49. Oneilbuc Says:

Tampabayfan. You said Denver needs a quarterback and they have Russell Wilson lol 😆 😂? That was a dumb comment and as far as Jamies and the saints let’s just wait and see because yall keep saying he suck but he was beating the brakes off our defense before he got hurt. Remember the saints was 5 and 2 with Jamies at quarterback and they played a harder schedule than us . And guess what if they developed Trask we will be needing a quarterback next year as well.
