  1. Bird Says:

    Lets go

Some analysts are saying travis jones?
    Ehh.

    I want booth

  2. Alexstotle Says:

CB from Clemson or trade for a 1st next year. Make me happy!

  3. Bucco Bruce Says:

Let’s get things moving folks. I’m excited to see where we go tonight.

  4. David Says:

    Booth or Dean!

  5. David Says:

On another note, Cris Angel’s show is awesome

  6. MadMax Says:

    trade it…

  7. Rod Munch Says:

Remember when Cris Angel was going to survive the blowing up of a hotel in Clearwater, and a helicopter catches him just running out of it like 5 mins before it blows up – then I guess he just goes back in later and they find him as he ‘survived’. Some real cornball stuff.

Not against his Vegas show, I’m sure it’s entertaining, but that’s all I can think about when they show him.

  8. David Says:

I want Jones over Hall if they go DT.

  9. Rod Munch Says:

No activity in the draft room, doesn’t look like they’re trading down.

  10. alvinscissorsharper Says:

Phones don’t seem to be ringing……..DAMN!

  11. David Says:

Now that I’ve given my irrelevant opinion, I’ll trust whatever they do. 😂

  12. Ricardo Says:

That’s a loaded question to ask Gronk. Lol.

  13. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Looks like bowles was talking to the new pick on the phone.

  14. BucsFan81 Says:

I just hope we go defense

  15. unbelievable Says:

    Jones?

    Booth?

    Dean?

  16. SKBucsFan Says:

    Okay Simeon. Make us proud!

  17. Rod Munch Says:

    Yep, exactly how predicted…

  18. unbelievable Says:

Why The F would someone ever buy a jersey that said “NFL DRAFT” on the back of it?

    LOL

  19. Bucco Bruce Says:

Wow, pass on Wyatt for Hall lmfao.

  20. Francisco Guzman Says:

    Idk. Feels like a reach

  21. SKBucsFan Says:

That’s a great pick! He can play everywhere.

  22. MadMax Says:

    Oh yeah!!

  23. Brandon Says:

Yep. I called it. Rest of you can STFU with your BS. Logan Hall. Called it this morning.

  24. unbelievable Says:

I’m a bit surprised by this to be honest, but you can’t have enough pass rushers / big uglies up front.

Seems like a bit of a project though.

  25. Francisco Guzman Says:

Not happy with licht in this draft. They could have gotten an impact player on defense.

  26. Casual Observer Says:

Great pick. Just what we needed. Next: TE.

  27. Bucco Bruce Says:

I hope a lot of us are wrong about this kid.

  28. David Says:

I like Jones but I trust they know A LOT more than me!
    I’m glad they got a DT/DE!

  29. DaBux Says:

I’m good with this one. Bowles and the boys can coach this kid up and teach him to play with that JPP nastiness.

  30. alvinscissorsharper Says:

Very pedestrian in my opinion. Pissed GB just traded up, but didn’t have to trade up with us….

  31. Rod Munch Says:

I have zero idea how you pick this guy over Wyatt, unless the red flags on Wyatt are a serious issue.

I watch his highlights and just don’t see anything there. Against low-level players, he’ll overpower some, but that’s about it. Doesn’t look quick, the power isn’t going to work at the NFL level, but what do I know, I watched a 5-min clip, I didn’t scout him.

  32. Marine Buc Says:

This guy can rush the passer from the inside.

He had like 6.5 sacks last season.

    I’m fine with the pick.

  33. Biff Barker Says:

Well, we got what we wished for.

  34. David Says:

    Bucco Bruce

This is the last time I’m going to say this to everyone because it is well documented.
WYATT was a BIG RED FLAG.
The guy has a felony arrest for domestic violence, breaking/entering, & some thing else. While investigating that they found 3 more incidents of domestic violence!. That is why Tampa Bay and almost all the other teams stayed away from him.
    No way in hell

  35. PA Buc Fan Says:

I don’t like the pick at all. These guys on defense from small schools never seem to pan out. Very disappointed. Could of traded down and still got this guy imho. Not a great start to Bowles regime.

  36. SKBucsFan Says:

Just be glad it wasn’t a CB this early.

  37. Francisco Guzman Says:

Rod Munch me neither. Packers are having a good draft ughhhh

  38. MadMax Says:

    Welcome to the Bucs Logan!

  39. Leopold Stotch Says:

We happy about Hall? I wanted Booth

  40. Adrnagy Says:

I like the pick. We needed a push from the dline not LB or blitz

  41. tampabuscsbro Says:

ROD there was red flags on wyatt and he had average production on a beyond stacked D.

  42. HC Grover Says:

    Looks like JPP to me.

  43. PA Buc Fan Says:

I’m glad we didn’t take Booth. Name a Clemson defensive player who has ever been a all pro or defensive pro bowler? Very few and far between and many are drafted year after year.

  44. FSUBUC Says:

Traded back for a player you could have picked up late 2nd early 3rd? What am I missing?

  45. Francisco Guzman Says:

Leopold Stotch i would have booth over hall.

  46. BradyBucs Says:

    PA Buc Fan,

Pitt is HALF the size of Univ. of Houston and Aaron Donald played there.

  47. Capt.Tim Says:

    Another 2nd round miss.
Ryan is too small or Interior, not quick enough for DE.
Wont be horrible- just wont make an impact.

What is it about Licht and the second round?

  48. Marine Buc Says:

I’m wondering if L. Hall can play DT/DE and OLB?

If so – this is a steal!!!

  49. Francisco Guzman Says:

McCreary just went to the Titans.

  50. PassingThru Says:

Jones looks to me like a bull rushing NT or DT, he doesn’t have the quickness to be a DE.

  51. PA Buc Fan Says:

Pitt has had some great players. Name someone from Houston o. The defensive side mainly d line who has ever panned out for anything honestly? Not being a dick cause love the Bucs but not a fan of this pick AT ALL

  52. PassingThru Says:

OK, it was Logan Hall. Hall (unlike Jones) is a DE, or at least a developmental DE.

  53. tampabuscsbro Says:

Captain Tim my man. what about him being too small?

    man is over 6 6

  54. SKBucsFan Says:

Next up the TE out of Colorado if he’s available

  55. PassingThru Says:

McCreary went earlier than I thought. Might make a nice slot CB.

I want Booth, but I don’t see him slipping far.

  56. Bucco Bruce Says:

    Jets are killing it.

  57. Bigz Says:

So we pass on Loyd and Cine and didn’t move up a couple for Johnson and select a Gholston clone. No way will he be better than those two. JL back to JL of old. If you take a chance do it with a DE.

  58. acey Says:

    6’6″, 280-ish, 4.88 40 time

Solid Pick, but I feel like we could’ve moved down a few and still had him

  59. Francisco Guzman Says:

    Passingthru they should trade up.

  60. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Bucs fans are typically wrong in their evaluations, so it makes me happy to know Logan Hall will be a huge success as a Buccaneer.

  61. adam from ny Says:

mistake passing on watson and breece hall

  62. adam from ny Says:

    hopefully logan hall can ball

  63. PassingThru Says:

Come on fools, start picking QBs.

  64. Francisco Guzman Says:

    There goes pitre.

  65. PassingThru Says:

    Too bad, I liked Pitre.

  66. FLBoyInDallas Says:

The players I worry about most are the ones that have lots of Buc fans running their mouths about in support. Stay away from such players.

  67. David Says:

Logan Hall was projected early second round at the latest, so why are so many saying we could’ve traded back and got him later or even the third?
I’m happy with the pick, D-Line was desperately needed.
I trust Licht & Co. way more than I trust all the naysayers on this site.

On another note, the Jets are killing it and looking competent… What happened?

  68. Marine Buc Says:

Are the Bucs going to trade a 3rd round pick to NYG for WR K. Toney?

I would be down if we did…

  69. Capt.Tim Says:

    TampabucsBro
Hes 6’6”, but 283 pounds. Too light to play NT in a 3-4 defense.
He lacks the speed to play DE in a 3-4.

Again, not horrible- but wont make an impact.

  70. PassingThru Says:

Logan Hall is a developmental DE, but then the vast majority of the draftees in this round will not be immediate starters

  71. acey Says:

do we trade up if Dean keeps sliding?

  72. Bucamania Says:

Hope this guy can get some sacks up the middle. Scouting reports all over the place on him.

  73. BucsFan81 Says:

Bruce said he studied this draft more than any draft. Pretty sure they know what they are doing. It’s a 50/50 shot some of these guys that were stars in college don’t make it on the pro level. I trust the Bucs organization knows what they are doing.

  74. Bucamania Says:

    Damn. Falcons got Arnold Ebeketie

  75. Rod Munch Says:

If I go to Vegas, the last thing I’m doing is standing in a crowd, in the heat, at a draft ‘party’, I can’t believe they have anyone there at all. You take the draft to dumps like Cleveland and Indianapolis where there’s nothing else to do and you’ll get like 200,000 people. If the NFL thought they’d have massive crowds for this, they’re really dumb, people will just watch the picks on their phone as they’re doing one of a billion other things to do in Vegas.

  76. Bucco Bruce Says:

Man I must be getting old, I remember being excited to watch the whole draft and all. Now I wish this thing went like 10x faster.

  77. Francisco Guzman Says:

The Bucs need defense. They need to hope this guy is it.

  78. Bigz Says:

Never draft for need. Draft talent. So he’s a tweener and versatile.. Not what I want to hear. But I didn’t watch Houston much this year. I’d rather have Dean, Booth, even Ojabo. We still have little pass rush.

  79. PassingThru Says:

Hall is quick enough to play DE. He’s just raw.

  80. MadMax Says:

    Alright,

    Alontae Taylor

    Ed Ingram

    Matt Araiza

  81. FSUBUC Says:

    Bucamania Says:
    Damn. Falcons got Arnold Ebeketie

    Not good for us.

  82. Rod Munch Says:

Bucco Bruce – Well they used to show the actual draft, and talk about the players, most of whom you’d have never seen before, they’d show highlights, talk about production, etc. Now these idiots show people dancing for 2 mins instead of highlights, do boring interviews where everyone involved says nothing, then go to commercial. It’s terrible for those that like football, which is why I have the TV volume muted and just go find scouting reports and highlights myself since the NFL isn’t actually about football and doesn’t do that stuff anymore.

  83. David Says:

It is always amazing how many people here are so negative. I don’t get it. Most live somewhere in the Tampa Bay Area, one of the most beautiful places in the country. Beautiful beaches. A state that’s been free for over a year. B2B Stanley Cup champions. Super Bowl rings. Top 10 baseball team. Golf courses and bikinis everywhere.
Yet some of you are just so negative constantly. It’s mind boggling.

Somehow you think you know better than LICHT and Company. I had my favorites I wanted to pick too but I am under no illusion that I know better than they do.

    LFG

  84. Irishmist Says:

” He lacks speed to play DE in 3-4.” His 40 time was 4.88. JJ Watt ran a 4.84.

  85. Francisco Guzman Says:

    There goes Kyler Gordon.

  86. Rod Munch Says:

Hall is going to be fine as an NFL player, will probably play a long time. But he’s raw and while his physical traits are good enough, there’s nothing outstanding about anything, nothing elite. He’ll be a fine NFL player with an acceptable floor and an acceptable ceiling.

Hopefully he proves my take wrong.

  87. Francisco Guzman Says:

My problem with hall is his short arms. He has shorter arms than wyatt.

  88. Rod Munch Says:

David – first time on the internet?

  89. Caleb lee Says:

We need a wideout.. God forbid Evans gets injured and we only have Gage as a proven commodity. I

  90. David Says:

    Munch

    LoL 😂. Good point.

I am really really really close to getting rid of Facebook and Instagram for at least a few months.

  91. David Says:

    Munch

From what I’ve seen, I agree with that about Hall. He’s going to be very good and in the rotation on the D line for years. He’s not a superstar though.
But, not everyone can be. The one thing I do like is he apparently he has a nonstop motor. That always makes up for some deficiencies on defense

  92. PassingThru Says:

Come on Plastic Pete. You need a Russ Wilson wannabe.

  93. Coburn Says:

It looks like he may as add a bit of weight and start at Suh old position? Or rotate if we do sign him back. If so that’s exactly what I wanted in this draft. We desperately needed someone at Suh spot AS WELL as someone to rotate in for Suh/Gholston. So this could be perfect. Hope he works out. Why they passed on Wyatt seems fairly obvious with his concerns. If we could have got another pick would have been even better but I’m assuming the value wasn’t enough or they really like this guy that much

  94. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Licht was essentially on the clock for about 19 hours…….there is absolutely no doubt this is the position we wanted to fill and the player…..

Keep in mind……you cant look at Logan Hall without considering he comes with a 4th & 6th round pick…….(not bad, not bad at all)

  95. Bucco Bruce Says:

@Rod lmao now that you mention it I see why I no longer like it as much. I never even thought about all that was missing from the past, just that it was super dry and boring looking at drunk people screaming for their team the whole time. I’m actually surprised I didn’t even pick up on all that’s missing since I’m generally observant. Which unfortunately still means I am getting old lmfao.

  96. PassingThru Says:

I don’t know, I grade trades and draft picks separately. You can combine them together after the draft for an overall draft grade. That’s when fans can gasp, “OMG, we could have had (fill in the blank)”.

The trade was great. Time will tell regarding the grade of the actual picks.

  97. Francisco Guzman Says:

Hope they trade up here and get another defensive piece.

  98. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Again, dummies talking about things they’re ignorant of. Hall is not too slow to play DE in a 3-4 scheme, not by a long shot. It’s not a matter of opinion, it’s a matter of fact. Here are his numbers compared to JTS in their final college seasons and at the combine:

Name, height, weight, tackles, TFL, sacks, 3-cone, short shuttle:

    JTS, 6’5″, 259, 41, 12.5, 8, 7.18, 4.36
    Hall, 6’6″, 283, 47, 13, 6, 7.25, 4.44

Hall has the size of Will Gholston, close to the short area quickness of JTS, almost as many sacks as JTS and better tackle and tackle for loss production than JTS. He’s also far stronger than JTS, has similar athleticism and just as high of a ceiling.

This guy is the PERFECT 3-4 DE and 5-tech in the Todd Bowles defense and can switch to 3-4 OLB in a pinch and not lack the necessary athleticism. In other words, he can replace Suh, Gholston or Shaq Barrett and do whatever is asked of him along the d-line.

If you don’t have the knowledge, then stop talking.

  99. JeffreyLane77 Says:

So I guess another developmental DE it is. This team it not very good at drafting DE.

  100. Bucco Bruce Says:

So what’s the consensus on us making any moves tonight? I’m seeing a few studs continue to fall.

  101. Rod Munch Says:

For what it’s worth, Walter Football gave the pick an A-.

Walter Football is a very respected scouting site, or at least they used to be, I’m not sure if it’s the same people as in the past, but they do like the pick, think Hall is better than Wyatt.

“While he may not be a prolific sacker in the NFL, he could be a solid base end who contributes pressure… Hall looks like a future second-round pick in the 2022 NFL Draft. He should not slide to Day 3.

Player Comparison: Michael Johnson. Johnson was a third-round pick by the Bengals in 2009 and was a solid end for Cincinnati over a 10-year career.”

    So, yeah, there’s that.

  102. PassingThru Says:

    Booth is gone. Bastards!

  103. Francisco Guzman Says:

Rod Munch what this team needs is playmakers on defense. They missed the boat early. Don’t get the hype on hall. I don’t like this short arms.

  104. David Says:

As for Logan Hall, we shall see. I trust their scouting department. The guy will be able to go inside and outside.
I’m curious what they’re going to do with the next pick

  105. Francisco Guzman Says:

The bucs have not improve their defense at all. The way i see it.

  106. Bucco Bruce Says:

Don’t get me wrong I don’t dislike Hall, I just liked a lot of others more. That said people posting shuttle and 40 times doesn’t mean anything and shows no true knowledge of anything. Like Rod said the kid has great size and a decent ceiling but is raw and faced mediocre competition and while doing so didn’t overly dominate. A lot of us were more inclined for a splash move to try and feel more sure at some part of the roster for our run this year is all. Hall will most likely prove to be at the very least a solid player down the road but how much do you think he helps us this year?

  107. Rod Munch Says:

Bucco Bruce – I have the ABC/ESPN feed going, and it’s beyond awful. Stupid, boring interviews every segment, they show stupid fat fans dancing over and over again, they show the generic war room footage while they talk about something that isn’t the players, then they got to the stage, the Goodell walk out that takes a min or two, he says a name, they show a 10-15 second highlight package if you’re lucky, if you’re not lucky they just show someone putting on a hat, talk about how their parents are dead and how you need to feel sorry for them, then they go to the desk, say it’s a good pick and go to commercial, repeat. It’s AWFUL.

    So, yeah, there’s that.

    ___________________________________________________________

    Ugh.

Kid just seems like a project.

And a tweener. And he doesn’t look to have some incredible athletic ability (the type of thing that sometimes makes you grab a tweener)

  109. acey Says:

Dean is still on the board rn, looks like there’s about to be another run on receivers, I think we should move up for him

  110. Rod Munch Says:

Francisco Guzman – I don’t know about his arm length, but watching his highlights he didn’t look like a t-rex running around, so I think he’ll be OK.

  111. FLBoyInDallas Says:

The Bucs are getting old at DE with Suh and Gholston and both Arians and Licht openly stated this offseason they needed to get younger and most importantly, faster, on the d-line next to Vea. They did exactly what they set out to do. They filled that need perfectly. Plus, Hall can move outside whenever necessary and provide pressure there as well. They got better today. Great pick.

  112. David Says:

DT/DE was the right call. They lost some people there and they’re getting old.

  113. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Could the Bucs be looking at double dipping and get Travis Jones still at 60? or move up to get him?

  114. MadMax Says:

Man, Im happy for Ojabo, looks like a great kid.

  115. David Says:

    Key and Peele!!!

  116. Rod Munch Says:

unbelievable – to me, a 1st rounder, and this is a 1st rounder since they slid out of the 1st round to take him, they should have some elite trait. He doesn’t. He sounds like he’s good enough in all areas, and sometimes those guys can end up being real good, doing stuff that never showed up on tape in college.

I’m not sure I’d say he’s a project player however, to me that means years of sitting on the bench, I don’t think that’s the case, but I’m pretty sure Suh is coming back, and in that case, he doesn’t need to play a ton, which is probably for the best.

With Wyatt, what I liked about him, and what some people did not like, is that he was older, 24, and looked pro-ready, as much as a DT/DE can look. Also he had an explosive first step in the highlights I saw, that’s what I want to see with any defensive lineman. I don’t see that with Hall. He does run around some scrub players at schools you never heard of, but that won’t work at the NFL level, he needs a burst, not straight line speed 40-yards down the field.

But Hall isn’t bad at anything it doesn’t appear either.

In any case, the pick is made, I don’t dislike Hall, I just like him a lot better at #60 than #33, but it doesn’t seem like he’d have lasted that long.

Lets see what they do with that extra 4th, if that’s a steal, then this pick looks a lot better.

  117. David Says:

They should’ve gave him some sort of crazy African name so he could have broke into the Key and Peele All-Star game skit!!

  118. David Says:

My guess for the next four picks, in no particular order, are DB, OL, RB, WR or possibly TE.
I know they need TE but it’s a weak class.

  119. acey Says:

Bucs are 12 picks away now, Dean and Jones both still on the board. What are the odds both of them are still there when we pick again?

  120. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Hoping Trey McBride makes it to the Bucs’ next pick.

  121. David Says:

It’s not a pressing need right now but Dean is still there at linebacker. He’s every bit as quick as LVD.
LVD probably covers a little better but Dean is probably better at Blitzing.

I think they need to go DB but if Dean keeps slipping, I don’t see how you can pass him up

  122. Francisco Guzman Says:

    Trade up!!!

  123. MadMax Says:

Jaquan! I was pushing for him at first but then we signed safety help, so I stopped.

  124. Francisco Guzman Says:

The slimy saints about to draft.

  125. David Says:

    FLBoy

I know they need a TE but McBride is the best one in the draft and he is 3rd round.
    He’s basically Brate.
Good hands and a decent route runner, does nothing after the catch, average blocker.

If he’s there in the third, sure but I would not use a second round pick on him

  126. MadMax Says:

So WR George Pickens might be there when we pick.

Better snap that up….grab Alontae with our 3rd.

  127. SKBucsFan Says:

    Cmon Saints. Take a QB.

  128. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Not stuck on any one player, just hoping they fill the needs at TE, WR, DB, LB.

  129. acey Says:

    Saints took a corner???

  130. MadMax Says:

Well damn, there goes Alontae…..good pick Saints.

  131. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Looks like by the time the Bucs pick there won’t be much remaining 2nd round value at DB, EDGE or WR. Might have to focus on other positions here.

  132. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

Something tells me Jason’s trigger finger is getting itchy right now.

  133. Francisco Guzman Says:

If the saints had a QB this team would be in big trouble.

  134. David Says:

I really like looking at Walter football with draft reports but they have so many pop-ups now it’s almost impossible to scroll!

  135. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Players I hope make it to the Bucs’ next pick:

    1) Nakobe Dean
    2) Travis Jones
    3) Skyy Moore
    4) Trey McBride

  136. Francisco Guzman Says:

Bucs need to trade a couple of spots before they lose on a player they like.

  137. David Says:

I think Jones won’t go because they took Hall, same position.

McBride is a third round pick. He’s Cameron Brate, nothing more. Steady but average blocker

  138. acey Says:

I feel like we gotta move, there’s no way Jones and Dean keep slipping right?

  139. Francisco Guzman Says:

Crazy to think the saints added another corner. They have so many good quality corners.

  140. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Most of the draft sites with the best track records have McBride ranked as a second rounder. Plus PR has been reporting for weeks that the Bucs are very high on him at the bottom of the second round.

  141. Rod Munch Says:

David – Brate was undrafted because physically he wasn’t anything impressive. Also, early Brate, not the current one, was a pretty good NFL TE who caught everything. McBride has a lot more physical traits than Brate did, thus the reason is a projected 2nd round pick. But if you can give Brady, young Brate, who hasn’t lost a step yet, that’s something you’d spend a 2nd rounder on.

  142. Rod Munch Says:

The problem with Dean is that I’m not sure how he fits in with this defense – he’s not big enough to be a White type of ILB, and he’s not fast enough to be a coverage LB like David.

  143. FLBoyInDallas Says:

I also like the TE’s out of UCLA and Ohio State but they’re more of a consideration in the third round.

  144. David Says:

    Acey
They already took Hall, they’re not taking Jones.
Jones was a rd 2/3 guy anyway. I wanted him because I thought it was great value there but I don’t know what they’re going after now. I assume DB or maybe WR.

  145. MadMax Says:

    Well there goes Pickens

  146. David Says:

    Munch
Don’t go by Dean’s 49 time. He is every bit as fast as LVD and very quick through traffic. I don’t think he covers as well as LVD but LVD has also gotten better and better over the years.

  147. David Says:

Damnnn Pierce was the WR I was hoping they could get in round two or three

  148. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Man, the WR’s are being thinned out in a major way this round. Not sure why Skyy Moore hasn’t been take but I have to believe the Bucs would at least consider him. They need someone to take Godwin’s role for at least the first half of the season. This Arians offense doesn’t work with just two WR’s and right now that’s all they have at the top of the depth chart.

  149. Francisco Guzman Says:

What about perrion winfrey? Can he play in a 3-4?

  150. MadMax Says:

    Skyy Moore?

  151. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Yeah, I like Dean too. He seems like a future LVD replacement and LVD is not getting any younger.

  152. acey Says:

PFF stream is ahead of everything else I’m seeing right; Chiefs have taken Skyy and Arizona has taken McBride.

  153. Leopold Stotch Says:

Hoping for Chad Muma. This kid may be the next Kuechly

  154. MadMax Says:

    nevermind…on skyy

  155. David Says:

It’s getting really close. I can’t see how they can pass up Dean if he is there. He will replace LVD eventually but he is completely capable of getting in the rotation and in different sets and contributing right away, especially blitzing.

  156. Rod Munch Says:

David – David is a HOFer, so any comparisons to guys not even drafted should be done with that in mind. But when it comes to speed and quickness, David was a 4.5 guy and covered everyone in college, plus he could rush the passer – he was undersized but made up for it with speed and quickness. Dean didn’t run a 40, because he likely knows he times poorly. Scouts think he’s more of a 4.7 guy, not big enough to cover TEs, and not fast enough to cover RBs. That’s why he’s falling from what I’m reading.

I didn’t watch him, so I have no idea, but looking at his traits and his size, he seems like a tweener without good speed.

Again, could be wrong, just going based off what I read.

  157. Francisco Guzman Says:

Tolbert is a wideout i would like.

  158. Bucamania Says:

    Trey McBride to ARZ

  159. Rod Munch Says:

Well, there goes McBride if the Bucs wanted him.

There’s other options in the 3rd if they want a TE.

  160. Bucamania Says:

    James Cook at 60?

  161. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Well two of the players I hoped for are gone: Moore and McBride. Now there’s just Dean and Jones from my list.

I could see them taking the TE out of UCLA, too.

  162. SKBucsFan Says:

Damn. Oh well time for an O Lineman.

  163. David Says:

Personally I think any tight end in this draft besides him is a project. McBride to me , is just going to be Cameron Brate in the NFL. Second round was a reach.

I’m kind of shocked so many receivers just went. I thought Pierce from Cincy or Skyy Moore would still be there

  164. Bucs Guy Says:

Knew we had to trade up to 50 to get McBride

  165. Rod Munch Says:

These QBs falling are killing the Bucs, you want there to be a run on QBs right now.

  166. acey Says:

I like Ruckert the TE out of Ohio State. Solid catcher, solid blocker, can do everything we could ask of him

  167. David Says:

    Trade up!! Dean???

I’m not sure who else you would trade up for unless there’s a receiver they want because so many just went

  168. MadMax Says:

    Oh, traded up!

    Dean?

  169. Bucs Guy Says:

    Bucs traded up now?

  170. FLBoyInDallas Says:

    Trade up with Buffalo.

    Bucs on the clock!

    Travis Jones, anyone?

  171. Richard Dickson Says:

    We traded up!

  172. acey Says:

    BUCS ON THE CLOCK

  173. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    Bucs on the clock

  174. SKBucsFan Says:

Moved up! Got to be Jones or Dean.

  175. BucsFan81 Says:

Just jumped the dirt birds lol

  176. BradyBucs Says:

    BUCS SELECT QB MALIK WILLIS!!!

    WOW.

  177. Rod Munch Says:

If Jones is still there, I’d totally take him. I didn’t like him at #33, but at #60 he’s a steal, and now you got 3 young defensive lineman with Vita, and Hall and Jones can sit and learn for a year before needing to be starters – and they can still get reps this year to rest the vets.

  178. BradyBucs Says:

That was a joke, BTW. 🙂

  179. Rod Munch Says:

Well… I see the pick on Twitter, won’t ruin it… but it’s not who you think.

  180. Bigz Says:

    Better be Cook or Dean

  181. MadMax Says:

Nakobe Dean….go get him Mr Licht!

  182. acey Says:

I mean, it’s not a bad pick but… with what was still on the board?

  183. Rod Munch Says:

It’s a very Licht type of pick.

  184. David Says:

Ok, no problem! I never get upset when the big uglies are taken

  185. BradyBucs Says:

    OT LUKE GOEDEKE

  186. Rod Munch Says:

Why did the Bucs trade up? How in the hell did they think someone else would take him first?

  187. FLBoyInDallas Says:

An OT who will move to guard?

    That’s the pick?

Could’ve had Travis Jones and one of the best young defensive lines in the entire league!

  188. SKBucsFan Says:

    I like that one.

  189. LUVMYBUCS Says:

Enjoy the rest of the draft men

  190. MadMax Says:

Alrighty then. needed O line so Im all for it!

    what trades did we lose?

  191. Bucamania Says:

Ok then. I trust Licht with offensive line picks

  192. MadMax Says:

    Yo Luv!! What up Bro

  193. Richard Dickson Says:

Teams must be passing on Dean for a reason.

  194. Bucco Bruce Says:

Super happy with this one. Dude is a beast and will fit well at Guard and can always work out at RT in a pinch.

  195. Bucs Guy Says:

Bucs don’t need a T. He won’t see the field. D Smith 2 years left on his contract and Wirfs 3 years left.

  196. Francisco Guzman Says:

    Awful selection. Christ!!!!!

  197. Rod Munch Says:

Bucs sent the 6th rounder they got from Jacksonville to trade up. So didn’t cost much, but no idea why they needed to give up anything, no one was taking him until the 4th round.

With that said, Licht should FULLY be trusted on the offensive line. He way overdrafted Cappa, most everyone had him as a 6th rounder to UDFA, and Licht took him in the 3rd, it worked out – so while I think the trading up makes no sense, I have no doubt it’s a good pick, and that’s what matters, plus a 6th rounder isn’t much.

  198. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    MadMax

Travis Jones & Nakobe Dean was right there bruh smh

  199. Francisco Guzman Says:

    Looks like a huge reach.

  200. Rod Munch Says:

WTF is Warrick Dunn doing announcing the Falcons pick!?! SACRILEGE!

  201. acey Says:

Minnesota just took O-line, so I understand why we moved up now

  202. StickinUp4Centers Says:

    I questioned the trade-up until seeing Minnesota drafted a G with 59

  203. Leopold Stotch Says:

Not happy. Nakobe Dean, Chad Muma… I mean Licht know what he’s doing, but just disappointed. Seems like a reach

  204. MadMax Says:

Yeah, Im a little perplexed Luv. But we need an O line guy….and just like that, (my guy) Ed Ingram goes next.

  205. Bucco Bruce Says:

Dude isn’t a T in the NFL he is a Guard and will be a beast. Had him just barely over Cole Strange tbh. Not sure why we moved up but I guess they wanted the guy and after Johnson got stolen from us last night they wanted to be sure.

  206. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    DE – Travis Jones
    NT – Vita Vea
    DE – Logan Hall

    There’s your complete rebuild.

  207. Rod Munch Says:

He’s not a tackle, he’s going to be a guard. Licht, however, likes drafting former tackles because they can pretty much play anywhere on the line.

Again, Licht MORE than gets the benefit of the doubt on offensive lineman. I have ZERO doubt this will be a quality pick, and people will wonder why he was projected as a 4th-5th rounder.

  208. MadMax Says:

What draft capital did we lose?

  209. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Madmax

Ed’s a warrior – could’ve easily picked him up or someone comparable in the 3rd round.

  210. unbelievable Says:

Not who I was thinking, but I have full confidence in Licht when it comes to o-line players.

That said, I highly doubt he needed to trade up to draft him, but oh well.

  211. Leopold Stotch Says:

    In Licht I trust.

  212. LUVMYBUCS Says:

    Madmax

Ed’s a warrior – could’ve easily picked him up or someone comparable in the 3rd round.

  213. Tampabaybucfan Says:

Looks like we gave up our 6th round pick we got from Jax……..don’t understand the trade up but Licht does that a lot….he must have intel or really had to have the player……couldn’t stand waiting…..
Have to trust Licht with Oline….

  214. FortMyersDave Says:

Guard is a need and it is impossible to second guess Licht on drafting the OL even if this looked like a Bellicheat pick. That being said it is time to address the defensive secondary. Will the Bucs target someone in the early 4th round and trade up? I love how some of the posters hate the pick, like they think that they are smarter than Licht on OL selections, then again Mel Kiper gets paid a lot of coin to do the same thing in front of a camera for a living when he blows up a player or organization because they did not pick who he liked.

  215. BrooksNDunn Says:

We gave up the 6th we got from Jax yesterday.
So the first pick in the 6th round. (180 overall)

  216. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

We lost pick 180. The last one we got from Jags last night

  217. acey Says:

Bengals take Taylor-Britt… I don’t know what the quality of the DBs is gonna be when the 3rd round reaches us

  218. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Both lines addressed with 1st two picks, just like I’d hoped.

Great picks. Bowes knows dline, Licht knows oline.

  219. MadMax Says:

Alright so our next picks are 91 and the top of the 4th (106)

Got to find Matt Araiza with that 4th….yeah, Im going there!!!

  220. MadMax Says:

    Awesome. Thank you.

  221. Bucco Bruce Says:

Let’s make another move and grab Dean now. Everything I’ve heard is that despite his size he was the heart of that defense and was the best playmaker in the front 7 by a wide margin on that team.

  222. LUVMYBUCS Says:

This confirms they wanted one of the two guards in the 1st round.
    Now they’re just reaching.

  223. Bucs Guy Says:

Really thought we should have moved up to early 50s to get the #1 TE McBride. Don’t like the UCLA TE. Maybe Woods UVA TE or Ruckert OSU TE in the 3rd.

  224. Rod Munch Says:

Some guys that might be available 30-picks from now…

    TE Jelani Woods
    DE Eyioma Uwazurike
    S Bryan Cook
    CB Marcus Jones

Now, with Jones, he’s a small guy – but supposed to be the best returner in this draft. If the Bucs took him, I think it’s likely as a project corner, but someone who comes in day 1 and gives them an electric returner. I’d absoutely take that if the scouting reports about being a return guy are true. Then, who knows, maybe he becomes a Brent Grimes, undersized, type of corner – not likely, but the return ability alone, if it’s as good as hyped, would be worth a 3rd rounder and really help one huge hole on this team.

  225. Bucs Guy Says:

Dean is slow. Need someone who can cover TE or RB in pass coverage because White can’t coverl

  226. Bucs Guy Says:

    Bryan Cook 8s gone.

  227. MadMax Says:

    Nice find Rod.

  228. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

LUVMYBUCS, Jason Licht always strikes gold with offensive line. If he does again, it’s not a reach.

  229. MadMax Says:

Brian Robinson Jr with our 3rd if he’s there.

  230. Bigz Says:

    Yes on Robinson.

  231. Rod Munch Says:

Dean not running the 40 has spoked teams, plus not hitting the 6′ height min as well makes people question things. I’m not so worried about his height, doesn’t matter much to me if you’re 5’11 or 6’0, but the speed is huge, since an undersized guy will have to fast to make up for the size. By not running the 40, he’s telling teams he’s not fast, and now he’s a very poor fit for most defenses if they don’t think he can run.

If he could run like a 4.6, then his agent, or whoever told him not to run, is an idiot.

  232. FLBoyInDallas Says:

If you lack speed OR size but have talent many teams will work with you. If you lack BOTH, like it seems Dean may be after doing more research, then you’re in for a steep draft day slide.

  233. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Still hoping the Bucs trade up for Travis Jones. Barring that, these are the guys I hope make it to pick #91:

    1) Perrion Winfrey DT
    2) Christian Harris ILB
    3) DeMarvin Leal DE
    4) Greg Dulcich TE
    5) Jeremy Ruckert TE
    6) Channing Tindall ILB

  234. Rod Munch Says:

Seeing… ‘Georgia LB Nakobe Dean declined surgery on his shoulder, and it’s now a major concern/medical red flag.’

Apparently has a bunch of injuries, but that one is a medical red flag, causing him to slip.

I will say at this range, for a guy expected to go that high, this is where you’d take a chance on hitting the lottery, which you’d do if you took him and he played up to his potential.

  235. Tampabaybucfan Says:

For those who want trenches……we got trenches

  236. Coburn Says:

I’m always good with trenches. Really felt dline had to be our first pick. Guard I thought stinnie would be pretty good and hainsey is there, but I generally trust Licht on oline. We should have some good depth if any injuries happen as well

  237. Rod Munch Says:

For what it’s worth, Walter Football gave the Goedeke pick a B+, said they had him as a late 2nd, or early 3rd.

Interesting, because I didn’t see him in that range anywhere else.

So, if you’re trying to guess who the Bucs are looking at, Walter Sports might be a good place to look since they seem to be in tune with what the Bucs are thinking.

  238. Rod Munch Says:

Well there goes TE Woods, he was #2 on my personal board.

    That stinks.

Oh well, as long as Gronk is back, we’re fine, and I think Gronk will be back.

  239. David Says:

Someone explain to me why so many are saying Jones, Jones, Jones? I wanted him too but that’s before they took Logan Hall. They got their D-Line pick.
They were not gonna draft back to back D-line.

As for the O line pick, I’m sure they had their reason to move up but they barely gave up anything for it, a 6th rounder.
And all I see everywhere about the guy they drafted is he’s nasty and relentless!
    Love it!

I know everyone wants flashy but you can not fault going with the trenches, ever.

  240. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Malik Willis must be feeling pretty down right now. Went from the green room to not even being drafted yet and we’re already in the third round. Desmond Ridder just got take by the Falcons at #74 and Willis keeps on sliding. He and Dean are the surprise sliders this year.

  241. David Says:

I am happy. D line and a line. Can’t go wrong. Both of them have a motor. The O line guy is said to be nasty and relentless.
    Love it!

I was calling for Dean also but he is falling for a reason. I wasn’t sure why but it seems he’s got a shoulder issue. May be a good value pick in round three if he still there

  242. MadMax Says:

Gronk will def be back….hes just playing around

  243. acey Says:

What do we do if Gronk gets injured though? What if Brate gets injured? Both are old and liable to get hurt, we gotta pick up something as some kind of insurance

  244. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Welp, there went Harris and Jones back to back. That sucks.

  245. Joe Says:

What do we do if Gronk gets injured though? What if Brate gets injured?

What if worms had guns? Then robins wouldn’t screw with them.

  246. FLBoyInDallas Says:

What if my aunt had balls?

    She’d be my uncle.

  247. Francisco Guzman Says:

They need a DT. Perrion Winfrey? Can he play in a 3-4 defense?

  248. New England Patriots Fan Says:

If they dont trade up I like TE GREG DULCICH, UCLA (PFF BIG BOARD RANK: 70) for pick 91

Dulcich is a former walk-on who’s one of the best all-around athletes for a tight end in the draft. He’s an ascending player who has matured by leaps and bounds physically since he got to UCLA

  249. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Dulcich was already drafted at #80. I wanted him as a Buc also.

  250. Francisco Guzman Says:

New England Patriots Fan he has been picked already.

  251. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Hoping for Jeremy Ruckert TE or Perrion Winfrey DT at this point.

  252. Francisco Guzman Says:

Leal just got drafted by the Steelers.

  253. acey Says:

    Joe –
Unless you want me to believe Cody McElroy is an acceptable substitute for when Gronk goes down, we need to find another TE for the roster. We’d have to be stupid to not carry a back-up plan for when Gronk likely gets injured during the season. Where are we going to find a capable one in Free Agency with our murdered cap space?

  254. Francisco Guzman Says:

Trade up for Winfrey!!!!! Need a DT!!!!

  255. Francisco Guzman Says:

Trade up for Winfrey or CB McCollum.

  256. MadMax Says:

    Brian Robinson Jr please!

  257. Bucamania Says:

    Nick Cross or Isiah Spiller

  258. FLBoyInDallas Says:

I’m sure it’ll be Spiller or Winfrey.

  259. BradyBucs Says:

    They went RB!

  260. Scotty in Fat Antonio Says:

    White, ASU RB

  261. Irishmist Says:

The only sure bet in Vegas is that bspn will cut to a commercial during our pick.

  262. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Thought White was more of a 4th rounder.

Obviously they had him rated higher than Spiller.

    Still a good pick.

  263. BucsFan81 Says:

The defense was weak last year. They should be drafting defense.

  264. Bucs Guy Says:

    Still need a TE.

  265. Bucco Bruce Says:

Super stoked, just picked up the 2nd best RB in the draft imo behind Hall.

  266. MadMax Says:

They grabbed a good RB…not my pick, but a pick at the position I wanted. Im happy 😀

    Now we need Matt Araiza

  267. Bucs Guy Says:

CB, S and DLine after TE

  268. FLBoyInDallas Says:

Wouldn’t be surprised if they trade back in here and grab Ruckert or Winfrey.

  269. Bucco Bruce Says:

Would be ecstatic if the got back in here and grabbed Ruckert, Otton, Winfrey, or Chenal.

  270. MadMax Says:

I have to wake up at 230am for work…..but im gonna hang around….life will suck tomorrow for me lol.

  271. Biff Barker Says:

More D and a TE please. I don’t see this pick an immediate need. Vaughn never got enough reps to prove himself IMO. But White was picked for a reason.
My sleeper pick is TE Jake Fergusen from Wisconsin. A solid all rounder.

  272. MadMax Says:

and there goes Robinson….we’re good though.

  273. Bucco Bruce Says:

Well there goes Ruckert and Chenal
