Joe … ‘If Joe had to pick, Joe would take Gronk over Suh in a heartbeat.’
Makes perfect sense, IF you don’t mind going 9-8 this season as we lose to each of last year’s playoff teams 45-30 because our Front-7 couldn’t stop the better offenses.
Suh only played 60% of the snaps last season so thats telling me he will play only 50% this year. He would good to have to transition a rookie but at a lower price.
This surprises me. Suh’s value outweighs Gronk’s IMO. Not that Gronk isn’t valuable but the leadership and consistency Suh has brought cannot be overstated.
Suh logged the MOST snaps of any DL on the team and it was 63%. Vea had 22% and Gholston 44% for comparison. He started all 17 games.
But I guess I would chose Gronk over everyone else. He has a special connection with TB12, red zone monster and it would be difficult to replace his production on offense…
Different poll Joe, and just for you to answer … Yes or No
‘Are you OK going with a DLine this season that consists of Vea, Gholston, RNR and a non-first-round DT to replace Suh AND McLendon’?
(I get the feeling that you must be since you’re now pushing offense as a priority by drafting an Olineman in Rnd 1 and re-signing Gronk over Suh. And right now, those are the only name starters we have on our DLine).
Suh is such a force out there it would be very hard to replace him. Rams Defense took 3 steps back when he left them, and the same will happen here if a replacement isn’t in place when he does decide to call it quits (He loves playing for Bowles, and I honestly believe he wants to end his career here).
Suh! Who has been the more durable player throughout their career? Who was the only defensive player that seemed to know their job on that I’ll fated season ending play? What was the bucs’ record the past 2 yrs? How many of those games did Suh miss? Gronk?
Gronk is a stud, but imo Suh is a more valuable piece right now. At least until Vea can take more snaps and miss less games.

Suh for me, but if Gronk wants to play, Licht will make it happen.

A healthy JPP would be nice as well.

Missed the poll but I would have voted for Suh. Gronk is made of glass.
