I voted “not sure” because you have to see what’s available at #27. I would go TRENCHES all the way, offense or defense.

  2. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

I voted for a Pass Rusher (EDGE) and would also like to see a plug and play guard, if we can find one.

  3. Dusthty Rhothdes Says:

    UGA DT

  4. Allbuccedup Says:

If Zion Johnson or Kenyon Greene are available you have to take them. If not defensive tackle then 2nd round Jamaree Salyer. You have got to shore up that oline. And its not just for Brady next years QB will be average at best but a stout oline can make an average QB look good.

  5. BucsFanSince1976 Says:

Joe-How exactly do you leave the Linebacker position group off the poll?

  6. yucboy Says:

Its about the player, not the position

  7. Daniel Says:

Somewhere in the trenches would be great (guard or DL).

I think they end up taking a safety.

  8. dls5492 Says:

    BPA or trade back.

  9. PassingThru Says:

Yeah, you don’t know who will be available. Sometimes a quality prospect drops.

  10. Upstate NY BUC Says:

Someone to man-handle Cooper Kupp, because that’s what it’s going to come down to!! Peace….

  11. Pewter941 Says:

    safety or dt

  12. Dooley Says:

Voted other because a swing Defensive linemen like Logan Hall would be perfect to line up inside at DT/OLB. would also give us more length to add with guys like JTS, Gholston, & A-Nelly. Also means we could look for a developmental OLB like Alex Wright later in the draft IF we dont do the right think and draft DRAKE JACKSON.

  13. SB~LV Says:

I don’t know if I will stay up long enough to watch the Bucs trade into the next day
    😛

  14. Buczilla Says:

I voted receiver because I want Chris Olave if by some miracle he falls to us. If not then corner if there is one worth taking at 27.

  15. Tye Says:

Even though the NFC South opponents have NO threat QB at QB this season, the Bucs will face several talented defenses…
Need a young gifted Edge rusher or this Defense will tire out and play in many shoot-outs!

  16. Tye Says:

*face several talented offenses (not defenses)

  17. Red86 Says:

We are running a 5-2 too much due to lack of pressure. It looks like a 3-4, but we blitz both olbs too much. Coverage suffer due to lack of numbers. We need a coverage olb badly for the few times both olb don’t blitz. DT is for rotation and pressure. Hopefully someone that requires a double team like Vita Vea to play next to Vita as often as possible.

Strong Coverage and pass rushing OLB or DT at 1
Whatever you didn’t pick in the first at 2
Guard or WR, DT/ Olb if we are ok at o line at 3
Safety, Tight end, Cornerback, or Running back 4
Safety, Tight end, Cornerback, or Running back 5
Safety, Tight end, Cornerback, or Running back 6
    Special team at 7

  18. tampabayallday Says:

Trade back with Detroit for 32. I can see us reaching for Logan Hall. He’s only 22 and a lot of upside as a pass rushing dlinemen.

  19. Rod Munch Says:

What is with this new trend of calling all defensive lineman, DT’s? We have a DT, his name is Vita. We need a DE.

When Warren Sapp went to the Raiders, they didn’t call him a DT when he was playing at DE in their 3-4. Why? Because he wasn’t playing DT anymore. It was a new position, that required different skills.

I hate these hipster d-bags trying to ‘reimagine’ everything, including what position names are.

  20. Coburn Says:

Yeah rod that irked me as well. Was like where is the poll option for DE? We are set at tackle mostly between vea Nd nacho, but severely lacking at 3-4 end. Only solid one we have is Gholston and need at least 3 solid dudes… 2 starters and one rotational so we have to get 2 somewhere between now and opening.

  21. 99.97.92.55.47.40.28.20.7 Says:

boys, it’s going to come down to protecting Brady. O-line in round 1. you heard it here first.

  22. Allbuccedup Says:

Buyer beware Georgia players you have a lot of good players but great players remains to be seen. Everyone on the team made other teammates look good. I really wasn’t impressed with Jordan Davis except for the combine. But I would still take him at 27 because he fits our defense.

  23. Allbuccedup Says:

99 to 7 exactly thats the only way to keep him in Tampa without bolting to Miami next year.

  24. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

It has to be one of the lines.

I think defensive line is the most important this year.

I think offensive line will have more impact going forward because we’ll likely have a young QB next year, and he’ll need all the protection he can get to buy him all the time he needs.

But I can see QB being a surprise target as well, if they want competition for Trask.

More than likely…we’ll trade back and pick up an extra second rounder.

“boys, it’s going to come down to protecting Brady. O-line in round 1. you heard it here first.”

I can live with that. Not only will it protect Brady, but it will boaster the line for his replacement later.

  26. Buccaneer Bonzai Says:

Now…if Brady goes down for the remainder of the season at some point…and if Trask is actually good…we could be looking at a repeat of history of when Brady replaced Bledsoe.

  27. Rod Munch Says:

Coburn – you sir, are a great American. God bless.

  28. MadMax Says:

Lol, dont be too heart broken when its wr….not many votes there lol….all good, we’ll get the other guys later 🙂

  29. Rod Munch Says:

MadMax – I wouldn’t have any issues with a WR, can’t have too many of them and since we have no idea how long Godwin is out, it’s not a bad way to go. Plus WR’s are extremely expensive, so getting one on a rookie deal for 5-years would be a plus.

That 5-year deal is why drafting a guard so high is probably a bad idea, unless Licht really thinks there’s only a couple of NFL worthy guards in this draft. But a top guard might make $10-12m, a top WR now makes $28-30m, and who knows what that number will be in 5-years.
