Who Will Take “Ownership?”

As Joe gears up for the exciting start to free agency tomorrow at noon, Joe took time to re-watch the latest Tom Moore feature that popped last week.
It’s on YouTube here on the Buccaneers’ channel. At 83 years old and working full-time, Moore is a walking treasure of NFL history, knowledge and more.
And make no mistake, he’s very active. Moore is not working a lightened load at One Buc Palace. Joe even saw Moore near the wee hours mowing down nachos and what appeared to be a beer in a bar during the NFL Scouting Combine about 10 days ago.
In that feature, Moore talked about how the five Super Bowl teams he’s coached on have all had a player “take ownership” of the team from an extreme leadership standpoint. Yes, Moore specifically referenced Tom Brady seizing ownership of the Bucs.
So Joe has to ask, who now on the roster will take “ownership” of the 2022 team?
Joe doesn’t know how much the Brady Effect will last into 2022. Will one player (or more) step up and demand the three or so extra players-only, Brady-led meetings every week to review the offensive gameplan continue? Is that guy Mike Evans or Blaine Gabbert or Tristan Wirfs?
Someone has to step up and try to fill the Brady void on offense when it comes to preparation.
Maybe that’s Arians and offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich adding to their plates and realizing they have to fill the Brady leadership absence.

There is no one on the team that can lead this team anywhere. It has to come from the quarterback. Thats just hard to do, Winston tried for 5 years and it lead to the eating a W speech

Superbowl winning Bucco Bruce Arians will step up and even surpass Tom Brady in the leadership role since his ego apparently over-road Brady’s leadership last year. Holding my breath….. PS – I think it’s more likely he will become more irritable as the losses start piling up.

I love that video with Coach Moore, I have watched it three times already. I’m not rooting against Trask whatsoever, I just don’t see it however if he’s ever going to be successful it is with this amazing coaching staff. You get a lot of idiots dragging BA and the coordinators but this is clearly the best collection of coaches we’ve had. GO BUCS

Actions speak louder than words. You think the players have not seen what Watson is going through because of his own actions? They won’t respect that…not the players we have. Character has been a big MUST on this team. They inherited Winston…but they got rid of him.
What Winston was accused of is tiny in comparison…and look at what he went through.
