Peter King: “42 Percent Chance” Tom Brady Returns

Joe has learned an awful lot this week at the NFL Scouting Combine from all kinds of NFL power players, coaches, etc.
So Joe can only imagine what NBC super insider Peter King has been soaking in while he roams the halls of the Indiana Convention Center.
King hopped on Pro Football Talk and talked to ProFootballTalk.com creator and fellow insider Mike Florio. And it was there this week that King said he believes that there’s “a 42 percent chance” Tom Brady will return to the field of play. King didn’t say this season, but that was the implication. And King did not reject the notion floated by Florio that Brady isn’t really retired, as if he’s just retired from Tampa Bay and is waiting out his future.
Joe asked Bucco Bruce Arians this week whether he’s been poking Brady by text or phone to come back. Arians said he is but didn’t offer details, other than to quip that he’s challenged Brady to a winner-take-all golf match (if Arians wins, Brady plays).
None of this is a laughing matter. Joe knows there are a lot of NFL believers who think Brady could be simply playing a calculated game — perhaps with his family and the Bucs — one whose goal is to land with a team not in Tampa.
Joe buys the message Arians is imparting when he said, “family always wins.”
Joe translates that as Brady’s wife not allowing/wanting him to play any longer. Joe actually hopes that’s the case because, if so, there’s a strong chance she will change her mind when she sees how unhappy he is when he’s not playing catch this spring with Mike Evans.

I wonder how Tom Brady felt after we drafted Kyle Trask in the second round last year instead of drafting a WR or a better RB?
I know publicly he was supportive. But I always wondered if that was his genuine reaction.

I understand that Brady sells and he is the GOAT but let us move on. I thought I created a moment of silence for TB12 so that we can all move on and talk about who we should get as our new QB, what to do to replace CD24 if he goes, Marpet retirement. We have 99 problems and Brady is only 1. i still believe reload. Think back at Bucs team in the past. Even after the departures this team will be better than virtually every one of them. Reload. I trust Licht.
PS If Arians relationship was so bad with TB tell me why he would joke about a winner take all golf event. I continue to not buy any of the nonsense. Moving on over here. The tears have dried up. It’s time to start making some moves baby!

Brady is NOT a deceitful guy. There has to be a reason he is not fulfilling his contract. Sure it could be Giselle saw him get cracked it the face by Von Miller (by the way.the EXACT same thing happened to Roger’s by Miller and he got the call, EXACT only no blood), and she said enough or something happened internally, I can’t think of any other reason, he boast that he wanted to play until 45 and Super G new that. If Gronk goes to Buffalo then you know Brady if he plays will be in San Fran because they already have the TE.

He retired from Tampa not the NFL, he’s doing this to leave a contract he only signed to spread a cap hit in 2021 so Tampa could return 22 starters. He did his two years in Tampa now he is trying to work he way out of Tampa to Miami.
That’s the story want to play in Miami building mansion in Miami and being offered ownership stake in Miami.
Nearly every other NFL a news site covered this Miami story it even made it into the Flores lawsuit when Ross tried to use Flores to recruit Brady.
Brady wants to play, just not on Tampa as he doesn’t like how the offense was run and wants to beat up on NE for 2 years to get revenge on Kraft and Bill from playoffs, then become a executive or owner in Miami and beat up on NE for a decade longer.

If Brady wants to come back (and play for the Bucs) and that’s a big IF, he has to decide very soon and before his weapons go elsewhere. As skilled players leave the probability of 12 returning diminishes.
I’m 90% sure we will know prior to free agency.
