Tough call Joe. I voted Jensen because of the 3 listed offensive players, his is the biggest impact. Of the 2 defensive players, I’d take Davis over Whitehead only because I feel it’s a more important position.
All opinion, of course.
I agree it’s a tough call but I went with Whitehead. Much cheaper. And I think you have a much greater likelihood of having an impact rookie offensive lineman come in if you’re not comfortable with Hainsey starting there. You’re not going to get a rookie safety to come in and have the impact that Whitehead has. And for half the price.
Fan man, I think Davis is going to get overpaid by someone. That’s the reason I went with Whitehead. I think Whitehead is a better safety than Davis is a corner. Davis can cover fairly well with exceptions, but he has below average hands and misses a lot of possible interceptions. Whitehead has better hands, marginally at least, and is clearly a very physical presence. And again, he will be far more affordable for us than Davis. Just trying to be practical.
If we are rebuilding/retooling I don’t think that we need a center that makes over 10 million per year. Let Hainsey start at center and sign the injury prone, but promising Whitehead.
007- From the practicality perspective, I cannot argue. Whitehead will most likely be cheaper.
I just cringe thinking about rolling into the next season relying on SMB and the oft-injured Dean as our starters. We saw what happens when you don’t have good DB depth.

If you have only 2 mil in cap all you can afford is Gabbert.
