Your New NFL Leader In Completions

January 10th, 2022

More records fall.

Joe had already written about how Bucs quarterback Tom Brady became the Bucs’ all-time passing leader in a single season by finishing with 5,316 yards. That’s the third-most in NFL history for a single season.

Well, Joe remembers earlier this year when Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians said that whenever Brady is done, there won’t be any records for him to break. That may be closer to the truth than we believe.

For example, Brady broke another record last night: most completions in a season with 485. Joe remembers a few years ago given the slop the Bucs had at quarterback, such an idea that a Tampa Bay quarterback could pull that off was sheer sorcery.

Per NFL.com, Brady throwing for 43 touchdowns this season is the 10th highest in NFL history for a single season.

Yeah, a Bucs quarterback.

Who should be MVP again?

Rodgers the Liar? Or Brady with better stats? Hub is right. Rodgers is a selfish, self entitled loser. They lose their first playoff game.

  2. bucschamp Says:

first half felt like we were just trying to measure the Panthers. like what Jordan and the bulls do. 2nd half we turned the switch on and executed. not a second wasted. amazing game

  3. Youngbucs Says:

Imagine not wanting your team to sign the greatest everšŸ¤Æ

  4. Joshua porter Says:

Give cry baby Roger’s the mvp and brady the superbowl mvp

  5. SB~LV Says:

Brady is erasing a lot of BucFan pain

  6. Allan Hurst Says:

This should be required reading for every voter of the MVP
It’s the most objective analysis you can find on who should be the MVP. As discussed in the write-up, it’s not even close when you try to quantify the results.

Google “PFF why Tom Brady should win the NFL MVP”
(Sorry, JBB website auto-moderates out any copied and pasted URLs.)

Article from Pro Football Focus before Sunday’s game explaining how it shouldn’t even be close by any objective measure. Unfortunately we have humans using their eye ball tests. Guys like Chris Simms, Shannon Sharp, Nick Wright and Rob Parker get paid to channel all the Brady hate out there into the public discourse.

  7. Joe in Michigan Says:

    MVP!

  8. Buc50 Says:

Once Brady was able to go into hurry-up mode, we were able to put them to sleep. Brady should probably call his own plays more.

  9. STL-BucsFan Says:

I always say ‘Numbers don’t Lie Aaron Rodgers Does”. how could this clown be MVP??? Brady, Taylor, Kupp, or even Parsons should be the topic. Rodgers leads in QBR and yes played 1 less game but how could he catch Brady’s numbers in a game and a 1/2?? Rodgers didnt deal with the injuries and drama that Tom had, in fact Rodgers caused more Drama for his team. Brady should win but won’t for some reason.

  10. Bird Says:

Lets be honest. Brady holds the record for having all the records

But check out his stats for 2 years in Tampa. You know the losing-est franchise in all 4 major sports

    Around 10,000 yards passing. 83 tds and 24 intsā€¦nfc south titleā€¦super bowl

    Enough said.

And to think, we have peeps on here who come out of the outhouse to proclaim he is washedā€¦he is oldā€¦he sucksā€¦

  11. Buc50 Says:

Very good read Allan. It won’t mean anything but it might sway a voter or two.

  12. Bird Says:

And those stats above are just regular season.

  13. #8 Says:

And TB12 got his 90th different TD recipient in Bell.

  14. DG060 Says:

We’d all love to see TB12 win the MVP of course.
Rodgers had another great yr too. Both supermen but Tom’s got the better stats. PFF concurs.
Brady wins it per their composite stats.

  15. Chris from Gainesville Says:

I saw this and thought itā€™s one of the more impressive stats. Bucs offense isnā€™t a high completion offense. Itā€™s not like the offense Breeā€™s ran. To comple this many balls, at his age, in this offense is pretty impressive.

  16. alton d green Says:

Brady; 5316 yds. Rogers; 4115 yds.
    13-4 13-4
    67.1 qbr 68.2
    43 tdfs 37 tds

Now, I hired a private investigator to find out who is pushing Rogers for MVP. I’ll have to admit I wasn’t surprised at his findings. It’s Joey, Nancy and Chuck. Time for a filibuster hahahahaha

  17. Listnfrmafar Says:

Roger’s although losing when he left the game yesterday is smart, he can say once again I wasn’t in the game so we lost. The difference is TB12 doesn’t miss games injured or not and certainly not for not taking the jab. It appears the player most known for what he puts in his body apparently took one for the team. The NFL like OralB, Oneilbucyall, Anonymous and others are biased because he wins everything. I’ll bet they don’t say the same about Jordan and LeBron.

  19. Aceofaerospace Says:

Thereā€™s no way Karen Rodgers gets MVP after his antics this year. I know, that should not matter, but the voters are human.

  20. Bucamania Says:

Karen Rodgers is the best LOL

  21. Mtbucsfan Says:

Let Rodgers get MVP fuel Brady more with chalkboard materiel. Brady doesn’t forget what is said and he listens to everything. Just like how MJ would take the smallest thing and make it huge to fuel him.

  22. Bucsfanman Says:

ā€œHolds the record for having all the recordsā€!!!

Love it and am totally stealing it!

  23. Stone crab sam Says:

Karen rodgers is best drama queen.
Ah yes, ā€˜I am inoculatedā€™ . Yeah good one, Karen.

  24. Eddie Marz Says:

Whatā€™s Brady have to do to get some respect? Win another Super Bowl? Ok Iā€™ll take it. GOBUCS!
