Shaq Barrett Out With COVID (And His Knee)
January 7th, 2022The Sickness is still around at One Buc Palace. Now Bucs sacks king Shaq Barrett has it.
The good news is Shaq wasn’t going to play Sunday against Carolina because of his knee sprain (ACL & MCL).
At least Shaq won’t have a COVID issue in the playoffs, assuming he gets through it easily like most players do.

Thanks AB you rat.
January 7th, 2022 at 12:24 pm
Hope this doesn’t hurt his rehab
January 7th, 2022 at 12:25 pm
Did he catch it from the toilet licking AB smuggled whore?
We will never know…
January 7th, 2022 at 12:29 pm
Hope he gets well in both areas. He’s the most important defensive player come next week. We’ll need him to play like an animal if we want another Super Bowl.
January 7th, 2022 at 12:32 pm
Shaq is a family man.

What a mistake it was resigning this guy. He was in a contract year and won a Superbowl. It was pretty easy to predict his drop in production.

Ben green: Shaq has more sacks this year than last year. Where are you getting your bum information from?

and if you look at his other key numbers at his position, he was pretty much on par with most other top dogs in the league…
the shaqster had a pretty darn good season…
and then again it all comes down to the playoffs…

January 7th, 2022 at 1:24 pm
Thank you everyone for quickly point out the stupidity of Ben’s post. Shaq was ballin this year. He had a handful of near misses too. Could have easily ended up with 14 or 15 sacks. Get well for the playoffs Shaq!!

Then he can self-ban.
Hell, maybe break curfew to kanoodle a covid ho, shoot up his ankle, do a few jumping jacks in the end zone on his way out, drop a bad rap single, then blame Arians.
January 7th, 2022 at 2:26 pm
I’m totally OK with Barrett, Jones, and JPP out this week. I assume Fournette & David, too.
Get healed up, healthier, and let the noobs get more game experience.
Carolina may be shooting for a top-5 pick.
So this game is a team not desperate to win but trying out a new WR grouping & growing some young-‘uns vs. a team whose fans want them to tank for a better draft choice, led by a coach on the hot seat.
January 7th, 2022 at 2:31 pm
Don’t think we’ll be seeing Benny boy around here again today… LOL

Another vaccinated player bites the dust by getting the virus the vaccine was supposed to protect you against. How far are we going to continue to move the goal posts when it comes to determining a vaccine’s effectiveness? Can you imagine what the FDA would do with the polio vaccine if it didn’t prevent the spread of polio?

If we dont get Barrett back I do not like our chances of going far in the playoffs.
We are gonna struggle bigtime with the passrush we saw vs the Jets. They even lost their LT before halftime and it didnt make a difference.
Tryon doesnt look like a guy to me that can bring it for a whole game. It would be nice if he changes my mind this week.

:: facepalm ::
January 7th, 2022 at 5:48 pm
unbelievable: you are totally, 100% incorrect with your hos[pital statement.
All over the planet, the Noble vaxxxed are in the hospital, in some places (Israel, Portugal, Ireland, Iceland, and many more) the vaxxxed are definitely hospitalized as much if not more than the unwashed.
Every day that goes by, it is clear the vaxxx has been a failure. It did NOT slow down the spread, and does nothing for Omicron.
January 7th, 2022 at 6:53 pm
Everyone is going to get this, vaxxed or natural immunity.
But who cares, it’s the new common cold. Once we get through the next week, maybe 2 at the most, then it’s over.
That’s how these thing work, they come out of nowhere, stick around for about 2-years, then suddenly disappear. This has been around for about 2-years, and is about to suddenly disappear.
BTW, disappear means it should not be an issue in peoples lives, it’s the new cold, yes, people will still get it some places, but again, it’s sore throat, runny nose, being tired. Yes, some people, very few people, will get more sick, but some people also get really sick from a cold.
In any case as it disappears, thankfully we’re in FL, life will just be normal here, as it has mostly been here since summer 2020. But in the blue states, their governments will never let this power go, and they’ll keep mandates and lockdowns of some sort going for years – and it’s 100% about power, nothing else. If you don’t believe that, then go back up north where you came from, enjoy your time in prison.
January 7th, 2022 at 7:01 pm
Is Cobraboy Anti US? He is talking about hospitalized people in countries like Israel, Portugal, Ireland and Iceland).
However, in my good old USA, the unvaccinated are 4 to 20 times as likely to die as the vaccinated. They are 4 to 20 times as likely to be hospitalized.
I care about my country. I am not sure what to call Cobraboy. I think he is a progressive with his talk about how things are going in other countries.
Texas counted every single person with an infection from January 15, 2021 to October 1, 2021. They then released the details in Mid November 2021.
Texas showed unvaccinated were 13 times as likely to get sick from Covid 19 and 20 times as likely to die during that period. That was 8 and 1/2 months of data.
South Carolina, Louisiana, Nevada, Wisconsin, Colorado, Nebraska and Virginia state department of health all show the same things (the unvaccinated die and go to the hospital more).
Of course, Cobraboy as a progressive (maybe a marxist) might be saying some of my favorite republican states health boards are lying.
January 7th, 2022 at 7:13 pm
Cobraboy – I’m not a vaxhole, anyone calling for mandates should be rounded up and toss into a volcano, or at least flown to Cuba because they’re not Americans, but saying because this strain isn’t really affected, in terms of spread, by the vax, doesn’t mean they don’t work at all and have never worked.
The Trump’s vaccine, and Trump did get these done via Project Warpspeed, saved the lives of millions of people worldwide. Literally millions.
The data overwhelmingly shows that the vax, for elderly people in particular, was extremely effective in reducing severe effects of this. The easiest way to know is watching the average age of death, before the vax it was 77, a few months after the vax, that dropped to 67 because people over 70 were getting the vax, and the people dying were younger, who had not yet taken the vax. Now, the overall deaths went down, but the older, vaxxed people were not dying at the same rate. Also the vax did a good job of stopping transmission, it wasn’t as good as they said, but it was clearly helping.
When Delta appeared, that’s when the vaxxes started not working as well, in particular with ‘break-through’ cases. The effectiveness of stopping transmission was probably closer to 50%, but again, all available data shows that it was helping with severe illness. Of course natural immunity also did the same thing, and what really p/o’d a lot of people, me included, are mandates – in particular when they don’t take natural immunity into play. The antibodies are the antibodies, it doesn’t matter how you get them.
Now with the current variant, natural immunity and the vaccine are not stopping transmission, but it also doesn’t matter since this is now basically a common cold. According to the BBC, when it mutated in the person who started this strain, they had a cold and basically this variant took on mutations related to the cold. This is GREAT news, since it means this is basically over. This strain has wiped out delta, is everywhere, people are getting a sore throat or feeling ‘out of it’, then in a week or two, things should peak, then another week or two, it should be mostly gone.
But don’t allow your hate of the unAmerican mandates and vaxholes make you blindly hate everything.
However, at the same time, I wouldn’t bother with the vax since this whole thing is going to be over in weeks.
Unless the Chinese modified it before it leaked from their labs, in which case, we have no idea what will happen next.
January 7th, 2022 at 7:28 pm
Rod… in some places the hospitals are overflowing… seeing record number of young kids.
But like I said… seems like we all have our own facts. My nursing profession daughter and her family just had it…she was vaxed and boosted…nothing more than an average cold to her and the rest of them. is thankful she took the jab. But each to their own.

Hey cobraboy CFL, CFL, Area leauge wherever you supposed to play, you want Shaq Barret’s contract next year, and the year after? With some of the despicable offensive lines y’all have faced, 10 sacks through 16 games is hardly worth the huge money he got. Have fun with the contract two years after Brady’s gone. I played in something called the national football league cobra girl, and have the checks and scars to prove it. You post more like a fanboy living in mommy’s basement somewhere in the warmth of south Florida. Don’t make Ben pull rank and make you feel like an idiot
January 7th, 2022 at 9:59 pm
When Brady gets up two touchdowns on a team, Barrett should clean house. He hasn’t exactly done that this year, but y’all love Mr acdc GM and all his stupid moves. Prediction, unless the contract is extremely front loaded, he’ll only play one more year at that number and be cut

BTW Bird, I’m not a Patriots fan, they just use to pay me, along side Mr Thomas Edward Brady
January 7th, 2022 at 10:30 pm
@Rod
“anyone calling for mandates should be rounded up and toss into a volcano, or at least flown to Cuba because theyâre not Americans,”
So the state of Florida with the existing MANDATES to attend public school is also UN AMERICAN? Was the US Army UNAmerican when they told me to stand in line at basic and then blasted me with one vaccine after another?
But Perhaps Rod in your masterful intelligence you are using your long study of Epidmiology to translate for the rest of us which vaccines work and which do not…which have side effect and which do not.
So Rod where did you study Epidemology. Ivy League? A man of your VAST experitise in these areas is surely well educated!
January 7th, 2022 at 10:54 pm
@geno: you seem to think humans are different in other countries. I don’t. If the vaxxxes are causing problems in one place, they will cause problems everywhere. But, please, take all the jabs your deltoid can handle. Maybe weekly.
@Rod: I’m not exactly sure your position. Fact is the vaxxxes have NOT worked as initially promised, and as time rolls on, and more data is available, there is a question in relative (not absolute) terms if the vaxxx even saves lives as promised. If you want a vaxxx, be my guest have a dozen. Get one a week.
We also come down to the old “with” or “from” argument. Even the garden gnome has recently stated the MOST kids hospitalized are WITH, and not FROM. And hospitals are not being “overrun.” Where there are issues, it’s staffing, not capacity. But then again many hospital systems have fired their unwashed unvaxxxed clinicians, so they created their own problems.
Funny how when this entire scam started, the Covidians did all they could to add big numbers, not differentiating “with” from “from.” Now that these vaxxxes are proven leaky and do nothing to stop transmission, suddenly the covidians want to parse “with” from “from.”
Just wait until the full Pfizer FDA documents are released (55,000 pages a month for 8 months vs. 75 years as Pfizer wanted.) Already the portion released shows the harm the vaxxxes did to MANY in their research, including deaths, and how the absolute difference between vaxxx effectiveness is 0.84% Absolute, not relative. Those are not my numbers, those come from the documents Pfizer used to get the EUA. And have NOT wanted to release to the public until forced from the FDA by FIOA lawsuits.
@ben: I played back in the day of Riddell suspension helmets and leather-sole “snuggers” with screw-on metal-tipped cleats, college and pro ball. When men were men and you just rubbed dirt on a missing appendage. While players, culture, and rules change, the basic structure of football as a team sport remains. You obviously didn’t play beyond maybe PeeWee. Additionally, and more emphatically, bite me.

You need to read new stuff and keep up to date. OMICON is not Delta, it’s not the original strain, it’s a strain that was created in someone who had the cold, and the mutations took on the cold features (BBC), that’s why OMICRON is so much less severe than COVID has been. This is how these things go away, they mutate to get very easy to spread, but is much less varilant. Literally every single recorded respiratory disease that is on record has done this, most at about the 2-year mark.
So, this is it. We have a true super spreader virus that ignores the vax and natural immunity — at least in terms of transmission. Everyone has gotten / will get this variant so quickly, that come the end of next week, we should be near the peak, or have peaked. From there it should be 2-weeks of it going down and then basically, poof, it will hopefully be gone. Now maybe that is incorrect, maybe it’s 3 weeks, or 5 weeks, but that day is coming very soon.
January 8th, 2022 at 4:33 am
Cobraboy – I’m with you in terms of heart, but in terms of facts, I’m a little less with you. I completely understand how things have been run, to try to, as the French President said, ‘pi–off the unvaxxed’ – that’s their entire idea right now.
However, the vaccine does work, to some degree. No, it doesn’t work as it was advertised at first, but that appears mainly to be relegated to virus mutating. BTW, natural immunity doesn’t seem to work any better either. The issue is, as it changed, in particular to delta, the virus did a much better job of causing break through cases — however, all legit data still shows it does a good job with severe illness, just like natural immunity.
With OMICRON, the vaccines aren’t doing much at all. That doesn’t mean the vaccines are a scam, it just means they don’t work well against yet another major mutation. We think, currently, that it still gives good protection vs severe illness, just like natural immunity.
My point is that the vaccines do work. Do they work as good as originally advertised? Absolutely not at this point. But they do, still, work well for serious illness, just like natural immunity.
I understand your frustration in dealing with the vaxholes, they’re awful, terrible people and I wish they’d all move back to New York where they all came from. Also anyone implementing mandates, well they should be flown to Northern Iraq for ISIS head removal. But, because these people are a-holes, doesn’t mean everything they say is a lie. Yes, the vaxxes work, the numbers show that, they just don’t work as well as people claim.
In any case, if I’m right, this will all be over pretty soon, so it shouldn’t matter in FL. Meanwhile in NY and CA, they’ll be wearing masks and being subjected

Actually the ‘overflowing’ hospitals aren’t happening. I checked the NYT map just this morning, checked the entire state, nothing overflowing. ZERO.
Also my sister runs the COVID wing of a place here, been asking her, and they’re at around 65% full, while we’re talking about a 20,000% increase in cases in the last 2 weeks. They should be overfilled, they’re not. Why? because you don’t need to go to hospital when you just got a sore throat, a runny nose and feel weak.
The world of panic and more welfare checks just isn’t happening kiddo, sorry to break it to you, but this will be over very soon.
January 8th, 2022 at 6:44 am
It will be over soon, I believe. Because this is spreading so fast., it will touch every corner of America in the next few weeks. You checked s NY map and want to put your entire belief system on the NYT map in the state of NY, that you checked? I never said it was happening in NY. I suggest you check the University of Minnesota Carlson School Covid hospital tracking map. It will show you where it is happening. In some rural states almost up to 75 percent of their beds occupied with Covid patients.
But believe what you want. You will anyway.
