So why will the Buccaneers win their second Super Bowl in as many years and send fans to another boat parade armed with Big Storm beer?
The easy answer is “Tom Brady.” But it’s more than just Brady being the rightful league MVP after putting up crazy numbers.
Brady knows how to raise everyone’s game, and Joe will let former Bucs running back LeSean “Shady” McCoy explain via the short video below.
Normally, Joe would type up quotes, but Shady’s delivery is too good here for Joe to water it down in print.
McCoy is certain that Brady makes the entire roster better and everyone is just along for the ride, including Bill Belichick when reflecting on his career.
Hearing Shady here (and it’s not a unique take) makes Joe wonder how other NFL clubs will discount the accomplishments of Bucs coordinators Byron Leftwich and Todd Bowles. You know, wondering if they’re really head coach material or just byproducts of the Tom Brady magic.

If Robert Kraft forced the issue, Brady would still be in New England. But there’s an excellent chance that Belichick would have left for another coaching gig. When Belichick was hired, the understanding was that Bill would have complete roster control.

That is interesting that Bill Belichick was able to obtain complete roster control back when he was hired.
He coached at Cleveland, and they were all too happy to be rid of him.

Great stuff but the first take on Antonio Brown is missing one big part. Antonio Brown DID get the ball in the first half. Didn’t have 3 catches? He had the second half and the next week to get 8 more and 50 yards. Tom made sure he got his incentives last year. So if AB thought he wasn’t going to get it then he’s an idiot

I have always been a Patriots fan until they dropped Tom Brady. Now I am one hundred percent a Bucs, fan and have even bought another house in Tampa, Florida to attend Bucs, games. Tom Brady is the greatest QB ever in Football and I completely support him!

I have another problem with the AB take. AB claims he was upset because he was hurt and coach wanted him to play. McCoy (and others) claims AB was upset because he wanted to play more and the coaches wouldn’t target him.

Tom Brady will try to do everything possible to win the game against the Eagles on Sunday. He is doing everything possible to motivate all his players to work the very best to win the game. The weather for that game is poor so I hope that the Bucs, work together to win that game!

What McCoy fails to acknowledge in his story is AB’s history pre Bucs. If this was the first time he pulled some funky stuff with a team, it might not be so indefensible. But, what about the Steelers? What about the Raiders? And speaking of Kraft/Belichick, what about the Patriots?

AB now is not better than Godwin or Evans. If he was he wouldn’t have been the 3rd option at WR this year. Lenny overtook Rojo because he’s better, Bucs are gonna play the best players period. AB had a great game against Atlanta last year and a 5 yd TD reception in SB and people are acting like he’s in his prime. He still has enough in tank to beat the 3rd CB but to act like he’s a top 10 WR is crazy.

Has anyone else heard about Julian Edelman betting $ 100,000 that it will be Tampa & New England in the Super Bowl? 🏈 Looks like Edelman LOST some money 💰 He should have joined Brady & Gronk in Tampa as Belicheck let him go too!!!! I think it’s true what Brady was saying; “Julian is just scared of Bill!” I thought it was said as a joke….but Now I believe that Brady really meant it! We don’t need Edelman anyway- just shows how he’s not faithful to Tom or Gronk. Julian has 3 Super Bowl Rings- all with Tom Brady! Looks like he just LOST $100,000 AS BUFFALO just Beat NE 47-17!!! Pats are OUT!!! 2nd year in a Row that the Bills WON the Division since Bradys been gone. (Dollar Bill Belicheck) Lost the Season again, & spent Big Money too!!! So glad that Tom & Gronk are Bucs!!!!
