Destroyed linebacker on TD run.

Playoff Lenny’s 47-yard run for the Bucs’ first touchdown today was just how the play was drawn up by coaches.

Or at least it should have been. Because the way the Bucs blocked was just about as good as it gets. Every offensive lineman took out his man, and then some.

Donovan Smith absolutely assaulted Bills safety Jordan Poyer on the second level. LOL

Ali Marpet pulled and bulldozed his man, a linebacker.

Ryan Jensen sealed off his man.

Alex Cappa pulled right and splashed his guy.

Tristan Wirfs just did Tristan Wirfs things, which is a mismatch on every play for whoever has the dreaded job of taking him on.

Foot-rubbing, car-littering film guru Rob Gronkowski sealed off his man.

Because everyone on the Bucs’ offensive line owned his assignment, Playoff Lenny was able to break free for the longest touchdown run on the season.

Man, it was a beautiful thing!

If the Bucs run block this way, which on this play was as good as they pass block, good luck shutting down this offense.

    That was a good block by DD, but he still managed to look lazy and then feel down.

    Obviously when you get the 47 yard run – all the guys did their job.

    To me the best two blocks were Marpet and Gronk’s seal block.

    If you haven’t yet, read “Instant Replay” by Jerry Kramer. Lombardi would practice simple.plays, to perfection. Beej is correct. If everyone does their job, every play should be a scoring play.

    If that is the case, we have one hell of a defense stopping the other team from scoring every play!
