A reason the Bucs’ offense sometimes spins its wheels like the car is stuck in snow without Antonio Brown is that it can’t stretch the field like it can with Brown.
Breshad Perriman, in theory, should be that guy to take the top off the defense because he is so fast. That hasn’t happened yet. And Scotty Miller hasn’t because he has been injured much of the season.
Well, it appears Sunday is time for Miller to step up.
Today the Bucs placed Perriman on the dreaded COVID list. To get off it, Perriman must test negative twice, 24 hours apart. Given that the slimy Saints-Bucs active roster has to be set by 6:50 p.m. Sunday night, the chances Perriman can pass his tests seem rather remote (unless his recent positive test was a false-positive).
So will the Bucs use Miller to run deep routes?
Since the NFC title game when Miller caught a crucial bomb from Tom Brady near halftime, Miller has been very quiet on offense (he did have a key fumble recovery on special teams against the Colts). Again, a big reason for that is that Miller has been hurt.
What better way for Miller to break out than an evening when the Bucs can clinch the NFC South for the first time since 2007?

The fact that the NFL and society in general has pushed and pushed the vaccine on the NFl and the population in general it is almost ridiculous that all of those VAXED players are getting Covid and the Vax is supposed to stop it. I read on the Washington Post that the
majority of Americans getting Covid (68%) are Vaxed and over 40% got the Booster. What a *ucking Joke.

Bucfan that happened with the Spanish Flu and 50million people died from that. Covid can be worse. They had to come out with it because a lot of people were sick and dying. If they didn’t come out with something then how many people would be whining and crying that no one was doing anything? Why is it you conservatives always gotta bring up your ideologies up here? You must not have had any family who died from COVID or you’d understand why they push it. If people who caught it and beat it but caught it again shows that natural or that crap herd immunity doesn’t work with it and it shouldn’t be surprising that people can get it even after receiving the VAX and booster. Why do people whine and cry about this yet our kids are required to have certain vaccinations in order to attend school?

How many times does it have to be written? The vaccine does not stop people from getting sick. It stops the vast majority from clogging up hospitals and dying. Also the vaccine is far more protective than natural immunity, if there even is such a thing.

It’s not about if the COVID 19 vaccine works or not. Right now, no-one at all knows. Did anyone listen to tiny little Dr Fauci from the beginning of COVID? It should have taught you that he doesn’t know crap and neither did any of the brilliant CDC. Now, you are going to force or virtually force people to get a vaccine that has barely been around for a year. Under normal circumstances, a vaccine would still be in early testing at this point. Not everyone is anti-vax that hasn’t gotten the vaccine. Some are just smart enough not to be the guinea pigs.
@Bucfan you started off correct but the vaccine is a giant unknown. It’s not really known if it is doing squat. It just may be that the whole country has basically had COVID. The virus has done what every virus in the history of mankind has done which is mutate and weaken. Just like the flu we had come to know before it.

Do you honestly expect people to believe a world renown scientist/physician who has spent his career being a leader in virology and immunology somehow knows less than a message board wannabe genius who likely failed high school science? If you personally don’t want to get vaccinated fine, keep that same energy when you get sick and don’t use up hospital resources thus depriving those who trust medicine. @DavidBigBucFan99 – extrapolate the 50 million deaths from the Spanish flu based on the world population size (1.7 billion in 1914 vs 7.7 billion now) and that gets to 225 million deaths. Add the greater mobility of people today and we would almost certainly expect an even higher death toll. Just imagine what could have happened with Covid if we did nothing.

What covid has revealed is there is a scary number of anti science wack jobs out there spouting bizarre claims with absolutely no actual scientific knowledge to back them up. Their brains have been corrupted by voodoo conspiracy beliefs and paranoia. And as significant members of their unbelievers leadership die off they are quickly replaced by fellow idiots who deny the reality of covid. Hardly a week goes by that some leading anti vaxer dies from the disease he claims is a big lie. I have witnessed friends, neighbors and family members who denied covid and refused the jab only to admit how wrong they were after laying in a hospital bed and fighting for their life. The good news is that many of the deniers are dying off from the covid they deny. Go ahead and refuse the jab. You won’t be missed.

Crikey, is this a politico site or a Bucs site?? Seriously. The vaccines do NOT keep you from catching Covid! They keep you out of the hospital dying a horrific death from respiratory failure. Back to the important stuff. I hope Miller plays. I don’t want to hear Brady throwing a pick 6 especially to slime ball Payton and the Aints. I just want the Bucs to win the NFC South. This is a sports website period. There are thousands of sites to share your ideas about government, social issues and COVID-related health opinions and science.
If you want to write opinions on other related issues please don’t waste the time of sports loving, NFL following and Buc dedicated fans with your opinions about COVID and vaccines.
If you don’t like what the NFL is doing regarding health don’t watch the games, don’t write comments and hang around with your circle of friends that want to discuss your opinion. This is a board we come to to talk about our team and it’s players. Can’t you stay on topic without making statements that move the discussion off what happens on game day?
I wish that Joe would moderate to keep the focus on what happens regarding the team. We watch Buc football because it’s of personal interest. We don’t need these posts denying or supporting the protocols. They are what they are, like it or not. Unless you own a team and have Roger Godell’s cell number, you aren’t gonna change the policies. Your vote doesn’t matter to the NFL.
The NFL has a lot of rules that I disagree with but it’s the owners and the rules committees that set them up.
When someone comes on these boards and moves the topic to COVID or pro-VAX or anti-VAX it would be wise to not tit-for-tat respond to thes comments. Let them die. Ignore them. Let’s keep this board going about Bucs football and stop escalating these political arguments.
I know 9 out of 10 of the comments on here stick to Buc topics. I hope others would respect the Buc fans and stop trashing the site with theories and opinions about divisive social and political issues.

Been listening and reading JBF since the early days when Joe was on with the Big Dog. But I am moving on since it now almost as political as it is sports.
