How Is Antonio Brown Handling His Suspension?

December 3rd, 2021

Posts video this morning.

It seems Bucs furniture-tossing, bicycle-throwing, fake-V-card-flashing receiver Antonio Brown is taking his three-game suspension like a pro.

Rather than sulking at home, Brown this morning, by way of his Instagram stories account, hit the gym.

You can see in the Twitter video below Brown is doing some sort of jumping exercise to test his injured left foot. You can also see he does not have any boot or, it appears, any special shoe on his left foot as he jumps on a trampoline.

Yeah, the three-game suspension stinks. At least Brown is aiming to be on the field when he is next eligible, which would be against the Stinking Panthers on Dec. 26.

That is, if Brown is still on the roster.

The Bucs will be a better team when Brown is back on the field…

  2. SteveK Says:

AB is getting after it. He will be a leading force to us winning the super bowl. Get him healthy and fresh for playoff football and we will eat.

  3. John Sinclear Says:

Why would he NOT be on the roster, Joe?

  4. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

The NFL deemed a three-game suspension was appropriate for Brown’s offense, while Rodgers received a $14,650 fine for attending a Halloween party while unvaccinated.

Though the situations are different, NFL fans have been quick to point out that Brown’s suspension feels disproportionate to the treatment Rodgers received from the league.

  6. Steven007 Says:

That exercise is quite challenging for his ankle, it’s good news from a playing standpoint that he can do that right now. Should be totally ready to go and refocused by the time he’s back. And he’ll be back. Next season? That’s a different story.

  7. Robert Says:

Get em AB. If the Bucs don’t pay him next year I wish him well and hope he gets a fat contract. I would take him over ME all day and twice on Sunday.

  8. crazyBucs_CL Says:

Love the guy, love his pro-athlete reaction.
AB most of the fans are in your side, we can’t wait to see you on the field.
    Let’s Go B!

  9. BucsTommy Says:

That’s why players do stupid things. When they are important to the team they are allowed to behave like idiots and many people will support them. This should stop to show the college guys that if they don’t behave as pros they will lose their jobs.

  10. zzbuc Says:

Tons of contradictions at least for me….I hate the moral sheriffs around the globe, but has been way out of line several times….I remember when BA on a press conference said, first wrong conduct he is out……

I know what AB is capable of on the field, but fake a vaccine card plus all his past, is making this situation very difficult for the organization , that at the end is the most important thing……

Coaches will pass, players will pass, but fans and the organization will still be there…..

    😂

Mix in a couple roadhouse kicks when we are kicking some opposing teams Buttock

  14. PassingThru Says:

The Bucs are a far better team with Antonio Brown on that playing field. It’s isn’t just the TDs and yardage, it’s the fact that his presence creates opportunities for others. Yes, he’s an idiot, but he’s an indispensable idiot.

AB wasn’t going to play the next 2 games anyway, and given how his projected recovery timeline is going, having him around for that 3rd game would have been like betting red at roulette; it was likely worse than a 50-50 proposition.

I’m more concerned about missing Edwards. It would have been nice to sit him this week if he’s still dinged, but he would have been very important while facing Josh Allen.

  15. JGhotier Says:

I’m more worried about Mike Edwards being out a/ that banged up secondary and his versatility. Brown is really only missing 1 more game than we already thought anyways and it’s a good thing so he will not be rushed back by the Team or himself.

I want us to be healthy come Playoff time. Which I think it’s be smart to put Devin White on the shelf too to let his quad and hip heal. One of the things that makes Devin so good is the speed at which he plays and closes on the ball and hip/quads do nothing, but hinder that ability.

    ……………

I disagree. Mike Edwards’ treatment may be disproportionate as he has never been suspended
AB is a suspension magnate! Repeat, repeat, repeat offender!

  19. Perimeter Blocker Says:

I’m not for mandates but I am for being truthful. I love both of these player’s talent but geez… just tell the truth. These guys have rocks in their head.

  20. Jmarkbuc Says:

Seems like it’s possible that the ankle thing might be a little exaggerated, perhaps AB was trying to lay low hoping this thing would blow over.

I wish people could get the difference between what Kaaron Rodgers did vs. Brown’s situation. Tiresome.

I also wish that AB had just stayed unvaccinated and followed the protocols, if he didn’t want the jab. Nobody was forcing him to get it. All tangled up in this mess and it was totally unnecessary.

  21. Thisisouryear!! Says:

This might be the best thing for AB. Forces him to take a more weeks to heal instead of rushing back before he is ready.

  22. tampabuscsbro Says:

I love how our journalists alleged journalists that caused this are so busy smelling their own farts no one except Joe is saying the rest of the NFL needs to be audited for fake vaccine cards.

  23. PassingThru Says:

    @tampabuscsbro

AB and Edwards created this mess, it was their responsibility to either receive the jab or disclose that they were not going to receive the jab.

You cannot blame the reporters, it is their job to report the news, even if it is distasteful.

SB “I disagree. Mike Edwards’ treatment may be disproportionate as he has never been suspended
AB is a suspension magnate! Repeat, repeat, repeat offender!”

Mike KNEW what he was doing, like AB. Covid is a very messy topic for the NFL right now let alone for so many across the planet.

So both are fortunate that they are going to be on the roster.

So many people wished they had the PRIVILEGE to make the kind of money that AB and Mike can make.

Playing in the NFL is a privilege not a right.

Just not good news going on right now.

    GO BUCS!!!

  25. tampabuscsbro Says:

I am blaming the reporters. Stroud was mad Brady cut the presser short. That’s when he decided to blow this up.

Also if you think we have real sports journalists in this town you need to look at what ownership groups get away with over the years.

  26. PassingThru Says:

    @tampabuscsbro

It didn’t matter who broke the story, somebody from out of town would have gotten the scoop. In fact, if this personal chef had a brain he would have approached TMZ and gotten paid.

The story was getting out. Almost every sports fan in every city (and I’ve lived in many) blames the local sports journalists for breaking unfavorable stories. It’s their job, and most of them do have to weigh getting the scoop versus releasing salacious details.

I’m friends with a sports journalist, and one day at brunch he dropped a bombshell. He wouldn’t print it. The reason wasn’t that it hurt the team, he didn’t submit the story because was given the info on a confidential basis. Releasing the story would violate that confidence and ensure that the source would never talk to him again. He isn’t alone, other sports journalists do the same.

The local press leaked the story because it was out in the open, someone was going to print it. And submitting the story to the editor wasn’t violating a source of confidential information.

  27. chris l Says:

maybe him and jameis should also get woman abusing ahead of their introduction. lol taking a suspension like a pro. what is he supposed to do. he got caught and lied. it is embarassing to the buccaneers franchise.

If I tried to do what AB is doing in that clip, I’d be in Sarasota Memorial Hospital, maybe their morgue!

  29. Listnfrmafar Says:

To ALL you righteousness do goodness, what has AB ever done wrong in a Bucs uniform other than this? None of us know the true story at Pittsburgh or LV or his personal issues. There are many current and ex gang members playing in the NFL and other pro sports that have done FAR worse than AB. He walks out of his bathroom in his home with a face cloth over his junk and an artist in his home screams sexual harassment. The guy was just trying to get a little something something, it’s not like he exposed it or threw her down to the ground, it was just an attempt of negotiating.

  30. Kentucky Buc Says:

Everything AB has ever been accused of had a price tag attached to it.

  31. Salem Rage Says:

AB is nothing but bad news. Always has been and is now in danger of being tossed to the curb by his 4th team. He can’t get it into his thick skull that when you screw people, they will fight back and there are consequences to be paid. The sad part is the real losers in this mess that HE created are his teammates and the Bucs fans.

You are preaching to the choir man. My only point in this statement is AR got a fine.
AB got suspended 3 games and probably rightfully so being as he is used to being suspended.
Mike Edwards has never been suspended.
I would like someone to explain to me the actual differences in the punishments.
Oh and I am a straight white male

The trampoline has a message on it that it’s isn’t for jumping. There goes Brown breaking the rules again.

  34. Larry Bailey Says:

He’s the most selfish player on the planet we will be fine without him

  35. Crickett Baker Says:

SB, this has been explained ad nauseum. Aaron NEVER lied to the NFL nor his team. He told them both that he was unvaccinated as he was allergic to some ingredients in the vaccine. He went to a homeopathic Dr. and got immunized and petitioned the NFL to approve him as “vaccinated”. They chose not to. They did not punish him for lying nor saying something wrong. He went to a party unmasked which was against protocol for an unvaccinated player. VASTLY different.

  36. former ne fan Says:

This is all white noise. We went thru this last year. The media needs all this nonsense to get them thru the fact that, at the end of the season, TB will be hoisting the trophy once again. It is ine it’s me. The jibber-ja bish about the Packers, the Cowboys, Mahomes etc. is simply filler for when Brady gets another SB MVP.

The NFL has produced zero proof that AB’s card is “fake”. His lawyer has consistently said that he’s vaccinated. This is nothing more than Me. Sour Grapes commissioner trying his best to troll Brady, just like he failed to do effectively when Brady won the SB among “deflategate” BS.

  37. Eddie Marz Says:

The problem with Brown has never been on the football field. It’s his off the field shenanigans that always gets him into trouble. Couldn’t care less if he’s jumping fifty feet over the goal posts.

  38. Eddie Marz Says:

Cricket Rogers lied out of both sides of his mouth. I hope we face those suckers again and beat the crap out of them, There’s no difference between what Rogers did and Brown.

  39. James in Memphis Says:

He better not get cut… Who cares… Win the damn games….

  40. SB Says:

    Yeah Crickett.
AR gets less than a day’s worth of fines.
Mike Edwards gets three game checks taken.

If you don’t see anything wrong here then …………….
    Also I am caucasian
