Desperate Team Coming To Tampa Bay

December 7th, 2021

Backs close to wall.

So this isn’t going to make Joe sleep well.

The Belicheats beat the Bills last night and it seems fairly clear the Bills will not win the AFC East. So what, the Bucs play in the NFC? Well, it means a lot.

The Bills are now bunched in with several seven- and eight-win teams fighting for a wild card berth. The Bills cannot afford to lose to too many games. And now they come to Tampa, perhaps with their season on the line.

The Bills are lumped together with the Chargers, Steelers and Colts for the three AFC wild card berths with the Raiders, Browns, Broncos and Dolphins lurking right behind.

Since the Bills struggle running the ball, Joe sure hopes the Bucs secondary can get over its bruises and bumps because Josh Allen will be putting the ball up a lot on Sunday afternoon.

Joe sure hopes that 75 and very humid melts the Bills, who are used to frigid winter conditions like last night’s game.

Bucs should be desperate to get that #1 seed

  2. Orlandobucsfan#1 Says:

Joe, has it not occurred to you that perhaps, perhaps, the Bills are not as good as advertised?
    I say: screw the Billls!
Welcome to Ray Jay! Do enjoy your stay.

  3. Colonel Angus Says:

We got Bills team coming in thats 3-4 in their last 7 games. If Bucs can avoid penalties, should be one for the win column. And Brady has a little bit of experience vs the Bills. RayJay gonna be fired up!

  4. Ben green Says:

It’s far from frigid, it was the wind. Mark Ben’s words, it’ll be a track meet for Brady and gronk. McDermott isn’t a stupid coach, he just has a sphincter the size of a pin head. That being said, coaching, like in most every game, will be advantage the other team. Brady can’t play defense.

  5. Buc king Says:

I don’t know enough to judge the bills but we beat new England and new England beat them not to mention brady knows the bills I expect a good day from both sides

  6. Joe Says:

Joe, has it not occurred to you that perhaps, perhaps, the Bills are not as good as advertised?

Hope that’s the case but they still have a winning record. How bad can they be?

  7. Francisco Guzman Says:

You best believe they will be desperate. This team better be prepared for their best game.

  8. Ben green Says:

The whole we beat them, they beat us is about as stupid an argument you can make, it means dood squat. Had conditions been better, the bills may have won. But, you know what they say about ass#@$/& like Sean McDermott, everybody has one. Much like y’all, they don’t adjust, they do what they do. It’s a very hard game to pick. If bill were yours all coach, you wouldn’t need to worry, but with a drunk, and a bad defensive coordinator………….

  9. Rod Munch Says:

IF YOU DON’T RUN THE BALL YOU CAN’T WIN!!!!

I can’t wait for those idiots to show up and tell everyone that the Bucs need to take the ball out Brady’s hands if they want to win this game.

  10. SlyPirate Says:

The Pats ran a ton. Buffalo’s DL and LB are gonna be sore. The Bucs offense will put up points.

  11. captivajim Says:

our secondary will be put to the test-big time…The Bills were obviously run on by Belicheats – and also the Colts a few wks back…Fournette and Rojo should/ need to have big game.. hopefully BL can get some ideas from those game films……TB12 will need to have, not a big , but a solid game against a pretty good(fast) secondary..

  12. Rod Munch Says:

If we have 45 mph winds and snow flurries and the best defense in football on Sunday, I too would suggest we just run the ball.

Or if the weather is fine, and we have Tom Brady, and some guy playing corner who was working at Arby’s 2 weeks ago, I suggest we throw the ball and score as many points as possible, since, as it turns out, you win football games by scoring more points than the other guy. Who knew?

  13. Sparky Says:

There is no reason our O-line, Lenny and RoJo can’t do the same thing to the Bills the Patriots just did. How funny would it be to go from a game where we didn’t run at all the first drive, to not even throwing a pass. That would send a message about the size of our testicles.

  14. adam from ny Says:

a key to the game is no missed tackles and getting out of the grasp for josh allen…

our d-line and backers gotta get to him and not miss…

non of these second chances for him to complete passes…

we have a bad habit of missing tackles and sacks on qbs, and giving them all this extra life to make plays, and they usually do…

allen is a big dude and can run…

gotta go after him hard and fast and grab him and get him down…

or our secondary will get burned badly

  15. adam from ny Says:

take away all that mofos improvisational skills between the white lines

  16. bucschamp Says:

    finally a worthy opponent!

  17. Adrnagy Says:

Lol. We need to stop the bills ?? Hahaha
    Its the other way around.

  18. Adrnagy Says:

Bills are the same as vikings. Talented teams. Poor coaching. And or coaches.

We have the best coach … brady.

  19. adam from ny Says:

the bills are like a bunch of desperate hoes out on the corner of nebraska ave. or north florida ave. around like 2008…

ok joe now i will be quiet 🙂

  20. firethecannons Says:

maybe a hurricane will pop up and we can pound the rock continuously

Bills did take an ass whoop and will be looking to take revenge on Buccaneers in sunny calm winter Florida. they can’t wait to unleash the long ball over and over.
Maybe now might not be the time to put Sherman in at safety.

we better pound the rock and run the clock another fcking nailbiter

  21. Roy T. Buford Says:

The Bucs are going to have to figure out how to keep a very mobile QB from rolling right to throw, or simply taking off. I agree, the Bills will be “desparate” and I’m fully awary of Stefan Diggs history with the Bucs. The Goat’s O and the ST squad will need to have a nearly perfect game, and the D is going to have to scheme to contain Josh Allen. If I can figure that much, I am sure the Bucs are working hard on it. I agree with the comment that maybe they just aren’t that good. Are the Bucs? We’ll see. the Bills also have one less day to prep to play the champs and heal from a tough division game. I like the Bucs chances, frankly.

  22. DaBux Says:

WE got what we wanted. A team that isn’t as good as they thought, getting beat up in a physical Monday night game then going on the road to our house.

It’s up to Todd Bowles to spy Allen and keep him contained and on the ground.

  23. Roy T. Buford Says:

To Rod Munch’s comments. Indeed, the Bucs need to put this on Brady’s hand and the passing game and keep the foot on the gas. They need to stop this ridiculous practice of backing off when they two scores ahead. It seems like it is part of their identity…to win mercifully. Dolphins, Eagles, Pats, Bears, Giants, Falcons…I swear I saw a noticable drop off.

  24. Roy T. Buford Says:

DaBux says: “It’s up to Todd Bowles to spy Allen and keep him contained and on the ground.”

And Devin White is the 007 for Sunday…switching off with one of the CBs on select pass plays. Will be fun to watch. No doubt Bowles knows how to use their speed.

  25. Winny Testaverde Says:

They may be desperate…but they also may be defeated and dejected. After just one year of being the division leader…the Pats appear to be back for the long haul ( couldn’t one of the teams ahead of N.E.-looking at you S.F., Carolina, Denver and others-have drafted Jones ?! ) Having said that…the Pats do a good job hiding/protecting Jones…not unlike Bengreen does his wayward daughter…holed up in his basement with an allowance and latest iPhone.

  26. dmatt Says:

The Bills are desperate n the saying is “desperate people will try desperate things”. They will have a “go for all the marbles attitude”. We must prepare for any trickery or out of the ordinary plays. Yes DWhite can spy or blitz but he seems to over run plays a lot with missed tackles. He’s gotta play mistake free football. Last night, Bill Belicheat had a game plan to play smashed mouth football n he prevailed. If we put continuous pressure on JAllen he’ll give the game away to u on a silver platter. We must play fundamental football with discipline n good tackling. Don’t let the Bills record deceive you.

  27. Bucsfanman Says:

Josh Allen will be a problem. He’s big and mobile and this defense doesn’t contain well (See WFT Heinecke).
We’re a better team overall and with the secondary getting healthy(?), we have a good shot.

Despite what a few think, running the ball effectively allows the offense to impose its will on teams. You think Lenny’s 4 TD performance against the Colts might’ve effected the gameplan for the Falcons?! Hmmmm, I wonder!

  28. EA Says:

I’m confident in brady and the offense scheming a good attack plan against the bills based on film from this season and bradys familiarity with the bills over the years.
Defensively it will be a challenge stopping Allen and the receivers but bucs did it last year against the chiefs in the biggest game.
Brady labeled this as the biggest game of the season, this is December football and they that they have to play the best football now if they want to repeat last year’s success.
Bucs are undefeated at home this year, bills are traveling on a short week, let’s continue that streak and let’s go for the sweep of AFC north.

  29. Bobby M. Says:

Bucs will have to avoid penalties and turnovers….we do that, I think we win convincingly.

  30. Bird Says:

Bills are dr jeckle and mr hyde

They lost to the dang jags. Thats like losing to a college team and college coach which they have 😂

Anyway they can beat good teams too. They did lose their best db , maybe their best defensive player last week for the year. I expect bucs to chuck it and be successful with run cause you know they will try two deep safeties.

Dline needs to contain Allen from running out. And they have solid receivers. Should be a fun game but a game we should win if we want to do anything in playoffs . Ideal weather conditions for sunday

  31. Eddie Marz Says:

Everybodies desperate. Just like the playoffs you have to win or go home. No coming into any game flat. Bills need it so do The Bucs. Let’s see who wants it more. GO BUCS!

  32. PassingThru Says:

The elements dramatically favored New England. Starting in 2018, Belichick redesigned the Patriots to become a running team. This is just another “zig while the rest of the league zags” move by Belichick, a response to the lighter defensive personnel packages being used throughout the league as well as a response to the anticipated decline of Tom Brady.

The Bills are the opposite, built around the surprising ascension of Josh Allen. While Allen shocked me at his improvement last season, he’s still a work in progress as a QB. The Bills compete as a pass-first team, relying on the bazooka-arm of Allen. That wasn’t going to cut it last night, not in that kind of wind. Sean McDermott should have limited those passes to less than 15 yards from the line of scrimmage, it was stupid and wasteful in those conditions to try anything deeper than that. And he certainly wasn’t going to beat the Patriots on the ground.

  33. Lesko_Brandon Says:

I hope our defense had a good night sleep and got a lot of massages while the Bills were banged up. They will need all the positive energy to stop Allen. If the Bills are desperate to survive, the Bucs is also desperate to be the #1

  34. alton d green Says:

As a 60 yr. fan, let me enlighten everyone. Yes the Bills are a very good team. ok take that “very” out haha. This is what we will see Sunday; a mix between Cam Newton, (young), and Gronk. If we stop the run, Josh will pic us apart ESPECIALLY if our corners give the receivers a 10 yd cushion. If we stop the pass, Josh will run the ball. Here’s Todd an opportunity to see if he REALLY is a good DC

  35. PassingThru Says:

No, you don’t want that kind of soft zone against the Bills. Josh Allen doesn’t have the best processing skills, he frequently took too much time and still couldn’t find wide open receivers.

  36. Lesko_Brandon Says:

While the Bills were currently banged up, I hope our defense got all the rest they needed for a 1 day advantage as they will need it to stop a desperate humiliated Allen/Mcdermont.

  37. Jerry Says:

It’s possible if the Bucs were to beat the Bills, the Bills could be on the outside of the AFC playoff picture depending what the other teams do.

So expect a brutal game. They are playing for their lives.

  38. crazyBucs_CL Says:

all this fear from most fans^^^ , well is justified.
Why? cause our crappy D can’t keep a team on 10 points, cause our OC has not shown us good calls in general, let alone for 60min game plan.
Bills are good team period, they are comparable to Rams, better than Washington, better then Saints.
What beat them in MNF was one reason and one only.
    The greatest of Bill Belichick.
We have the GOAT, will he be enough against Bill’s D??
As we all know we need 30+ points to win…..

  39. #8 Says:

The Bucs get every team’s best shot…we are the champs.
Every game is their super bowl.
If the Bucs get the #2 seed I’ll be happy. I’ll be even happier if we somehow get & stay mostly healthy.
It’ll be tough sledding no matter & require mistake free football from here out.

  40. Jonny Says:

Bills are going to be very desperate indeed, especially because they have a gauntlet of a schedule going forward and they cannot afford to lose many more games. Hopefully Brady can channel the inner Patriot that beat the Bills for many many years.

  41. Jonny Says:

Also fact of the matter is Bucs even in most of their wins have looked beatable. The Rams played their A game on both offense and defense when they played the Bucs. This is a playoff type game and Bucs have to be at least above average on all facets against a good team, not the Falcons or Bears. I am confident because of our O-line I think is a very dominant unit that will be up to the task. Our d-line needs to rush Allen with gap discipline expecting he will run for big chunks if anyone over pursues.

  42. Chris@Apple Roof Cleaning Tampa Says:

Both the Colts and the Bills ran all over the Bills.
They are not as good as advertised.

  43. Defense Rules Says:

dMatt … ‘Last night, Bill Belicheat had a game plan to play smashed mouth football n he prevailed.’

BINGO! That’s how you beat the Bills, on BOTH sides of the ball. All this blah-blah-blah about short week, and the Bills getting beat up by the Pats, and them being inconsistent, etc etc is all a bunch of hooey. And what happened prior to next Sunday’s game is history, that’s all it is.

Last night’s 14-10 game in ridiculous weather conditions was a good old-fashioned dogfight, and New England had the tougher dog. But Bucs’ fans shouldn’t lose sight of the fact that the Bills’ defense held the Pats to TWO first downs in 12 third down attempts. Nor that the Patriots only threw the ball THREE times all night (Buffalo still has the #1-ranked pass defense in the NFL). Belicheck attacked their weakness (46 rushes for 222 yds … 4.8 yds/rush) because that’s what the game conditions called for. Personally think that’s a smart strategy.

Our OLine is better than the Pats, and our RBs are better too. If we’re smart, the Bucs will pick up where the Pats left off (play very physical smashmouth football on both sides of the ball) but with a reasonable mix of run-pass that keeps the Bills defense off-balance AND takes advantage of our strengths. Bills defense has only given up 98 points TOTAL in the last 6 games … but 41 of those were scored by the Colts (who ran the ball against them 46 times for 264 yds & controlled the game with almost 38 mins TOP). The other 5 teams only scored 57 pts TOTAL (less than 12 PPG average).

  44. D-Rome Says:

I’m pretty pissed the Seminole Hard Rock sports betting app was suspended because I took the Patriots last night in a bet that I placed last week. No payout for me.

  45. Im not tired anymore we Super Bowl Champs!! Says:

At the end of the day we have to show up ready to play our best game if not like any given Sunday we will lose. So it’s up to the Bucs. Go Bucs!

  46. Lesco_Brandon Says:

Brady – Belichick talks just got heated up. WHo is the Patriot Way ? This discussion will not end until both Bucs and PAtriots meet at the Superbowl. THat will be awesome !!! GO BUCS!!

  47. brooks Says:

Let’s face it the bills are not that good. They have a quarter back with a huge arm that’s it. The coaching was pathetic. If he thinks last night went wrong wait till he comes to Raymond James on Sunday. If you think that defense look tired last night wait till this Sunday. We will jump on an early lead and then pin our ears back. 35-17

  48. Thisisouryear!!! Says:

I think DR hit this on the nose. The Bills are a tough against the pass team. I know we are loaded at receiver, but with AB out, we’re still good but not the same. I think this is going to be a physical game, similar to the Bills-Chiefs in the AFC Championship game. This isn’t going to be a walk in the park. I hope we’re ready.

  49. Cobraboy Says:

The fact the Pats only passed three times last night is one of the most intriguing stats I have ever witnessed in the NFL.

If the Pats thought they could run the ball against the Bills, I hope the Bucs think they can, too.

  50. Listnfrmafar Says:

McDermott wasn’t prepared, he burnt two timeouts in the 4th that were stupid. He was all rah, rah with no plan. Allen is not a closer Bill’s blew that game in the final minutes. Brady has had great success against Bill’s but I to worry about Bucs coaching against this team. It will be a shoot out for sure Bill’s have 2 great receivers and a pretty good TE (who shat himself last night with some crucial drops.) McDermott is pissed but can he get.his team motivated again to a level that can beat the Bucs? Jones only threw 3 passes last night, that’s crazy good coaching. Take the game out of the rookies hands.

  51. kyle Says:

I havent watched josh allen until last night. dude has a cannon, the ball is fired at a different speed than other qbs. hopefully biscuit was watching the patriots gameplan and learn something. we are definitely going to give up some passing yards and plays.. go tom

  52. Listnfrmafar Says:

Kyle, BA didn’t watch that game, he went home after happy hour and passed out face down in his spuds before game even started. Keep in mind he only works half a day.

  53. crazyBucs_CL Says:

@”…If the Pats thought they could run the ball against the Bills, I hope the Bucs think they can, too….”
    ————————–
there is a big difference between Pats and Bucs, and that is D and coaching.
yes we can run the ball, but you can’t score 30+ running the ball.
And we going to need 30+ with our D.
We just CAN’T win a ball game by scoring 14 or even 20 points. BB and the Pats could.

  54. BuccaneerScotty Says:

the truth is we are in big trouble with this passing game and our secondary! bottom line…. we are always giving up 3rd and 10+ against bad QB’s what do you think Allen will do? 400 yards and 5 tds? we better run the ball and play keep away 😤

  55. Kentucky Buc Says:

Allen holds the ball too long. If the Bucs pass rush is on their game some sacks will come.

  56. adam from ny Says:

this bills team has no real running game…

it josh allen and his receivers vs the bucs

  57. adam from ny Says:

ever since the pats got hot, the bills have gotten shook in their boots and have collapsed…

if they are so shook from bill belichik, then when going into ray jay, they should be equally as shook by tom gravy…

in the past the bills can’t hold the elephant nuts of belichik and brady – so why should they in 2021 ?

  58. kyle Says:

listnfromafr^^^ funny as shi..good one! go bucs

  59. Mike Johnson Says:

This has the makings for one of those hard hitting Colts games. Very physical. Bucs need to be focused. Bills will go all out to beat us. No rest for the weary. Bucs need to be ready.

  60. Kevin jax Says:

Bucs return to Superbowl. Believe in the goat he’s in our boat.

  61. Buczilla Says:

If our defense has a bad day, Diggs is going to torch us. Luckily, we have the offense to torch the bills as well. Should be an awesome game.

  62. Listnfrmafar Says:

Bucs are about to play a top 5 QB that is big and can throw bullets and run.

  63. Oneilbuc Says:

Just like I have always believed that a good defense and a running game with a average quarterback can win championships. You don’t need a hall of fame quarterback to win a superbowl. I hope we pound the ball against the Bills. Brady doesn’t have to throw 50 times. I know they are throwing the ball for Brady’s records but if we want to win in the playoffs we have to run the ball and have more of a balance offense!!

  64. G.Marosi Says:

The Billl game is the biggest of the season.
    #goBucs

  65. Joseph Says:

Sounds pathetic and salty. Calling the Coach a cheater…

  66. Tye Says:

At least the Bucs are at home where they have been playing their best!

  67. Nano107 Says:

    Just win baby

  68. Listnfrmafar Says:

Oneilbucyall, the weather favored the Patriots 100%. Let’s see Tom Brady, Patrick Mahomes, Payton Manning, Eli Manning, Troy Aikman, Kurt Warner, Big Ben, Russell Wilson, Jon Elway, Joe Montana, Aaron Roger’s, Roger Stalbach, Terry Bradshaw, Brett Farve, Steve Young, ALL HOFers versus Brad Johnson, Cam Newto, Doug Williams and Trent Dilfer? A little lopsided don’t ya think? Oh, and your guys were 1 and done versus QB’s that won multiple SB’s. Every time you post something it gets dumber & dumber.

  69. Ben Says:

Secondary needs to play their best game of the season this Sunday. Enough with this swiss cheese defense that made Wentz and Heineke look like Manning and Brees. Time to step up now! Time to address the 3rd down problem no.one seems to be talking about. LFG BUCS!

  70. daniel Da Man Says:

    The bill’s run like sheep
Joe I enjoyed seeing them struggle in the dirt hope I see it again Sunday..

  71. Anthony Bartido Says:

It’s the Bills fault losing to patriots, they’re unprepared running the ball looks stupid. The BUCS will cream them alive.

  72. Mustachechuck Says:

Tom Brady vs Buffalo Bills Check his record . Bucs destroy Bills
