Bruce Arians Grades Interior O-Linemen

Joe loves hearing grades, as in the official ones from coaches at One Buc Palace.
For every game, most players get a number grade just like a kid would in school.
Against the Falcons, guard Ali Marpet was a chart-topper.
“He graded out like 95 percent, one of his best games coming back from the injury,” Bucco Bruce Arians said with pride on the Buccaneers Radio Network yesterday. “[Marpet] is such a great player in the middle of that pocket.”
Arians went on to praise Ryan Jensen’s work at center in Atlanta and noted. “Cap had a tougher day,” referring to right guard Alex Cappa.
Great stuff from Marpet returning from the oblique strain, and Joe’s also pleased that the JoeBucsFan film review was on point.
Notice how the Bucs have had Marpet, Murphy-Bunting and Carlton Davis return from injuries fully ready to roll. Joe feels good about the team apparently not rushing players back, Rob Gronkowski in New Orleans notwithstanding.

Sounds like Gronk practically begged to get back out there vs the Saints. Tweaked his back a bit but you have to be impressed with the effort. It was the opposite of the J.R. Sweezey Swindle Days/Daze.

I think they should seriously consider putting White on the shelf for a few weeks to heal and come back his best self when it matters the most….Minter is a capable backup for a few weeks to get the job done.

Solid play up front – both sides of the ball – is crucial to winning in the NFL.
Bucs OLine this year is definitely the best i’ve ever seen this franchise field in 40+ years….

This OL is terrific, when Jenson came on with young Marpet and Cappa, we saw this coming. Wirfs coming in just solidified it. Plus Brady leadership and accountability. These young dudes growing fast and it’s so impressive.
They can be a FORCE for years to come if they stay a unit.. Wirfs is a complete beast and so young. Marpet and Cappa have great chemistry with Jenson and D. It’s just solid.
