Since the Bucs signed running back Shady McCoy in the summer of 2020, Shady became a believer in salad-bar-hating, park-violating, home-invading, NFLPA-ignoring, down-forgetting, handshake-stiffing, jet-ski-losing, biscuit-baking, tequila-shooting, smartphone-phobic, waffle-grilling, trophy-throwing, roller-coaster-scared, numbers-rules-peeved, helmet-tossing, football-punting, Bucs-Super-Bowl-winning quarterback Tom Brady.
Yeah, believing is easy for Bucs fans who were not all that familiar with Brady playing 20 years in the AFC. But when a guy comes to town and single-handedly turns around a franchise that couldn’t get out of its own way to win a Super Bowl, how could one not believe?
Shady is all-in. He has raved about Brady on various interviews since he retired after the Super Bowl.
This week co-hosting on “Good Morning Football,” seen weekday mornings on NFL Network, Shady ramped up his props. Shady said that Brady is a football deity.
“Playing with that dude right there, man,” Shady began as he was pointing at his monitor that just showed a video of Brady, “that’s probably the closest thing you are going to get on earth, as Jesus walking around.
“Tom Brady man, I have never seen a player so prepared. I’ve never seen a better leader.”
Shady said Brady is so prepared and ready for battle that when he enters a room confidence oozes from him and is contagious and puts everyone at ease.
The topic was Shady naming the top NFL MVP candidate. Shady said there is no question in his mind. And while he really likes Lamar Jackson, Shady noted that comparing him to Brady is just bad smack.
As the conversation wound down, Shady seemed to sense he needed to diversify his comparison of Brady to a deity. So he said if you feel better with him comparing Brady to Moses, that is cool.
To which co-host Kyle Brandt said, “Parting the pewter sea!”

You cannot find a picture of Jesus rendered during his lifetime because none exists. We really don’t know what he looked like. It’s not important what he physically looked like though as Christianity is a set of beliefs and not a practice of idol worship.
All we know is that Jesus was a Semite. Semites do not all look alike, so when you see a picture of Jesus, you’re looking at an artist interpretation rendered centuries after Jesus died.

You can find depictions of Jesus with Scandinavian features, but that doesn’t make him Scandinavian. Many depictions of Jesus that emanated from Europe made him look Caucasian rather than Semitic. There are plenty of modern depictions of Jesus that are black. All of these depictions are attempts to assimilate Jesus into the culture that is attempting to follow his beliefs, nothing more, nothing less.
We do not know what Jesus looked like. We can infer that he wasn’t tall, short, ugly, or strikingly handsome. Why? Because none of the accepted or rejected gospels describe him, which means he blended into the Semite population. Considering how many Caucasians dislike Semites, I find that rather curious.

In my Protestant Christian understanding, Jesus is fully God and fully man. It is a mystery of the faith. Jesus Is fully God as each part of Trinity, distinct but indivisible. Jesus remained fully Divine and became fully human, but emptied Himself of His rights and privileges by taking on human flesh. The blessing of Jesus being fully God and fully man is: 1) Being fully God He is able to live a sinless life and provide the perfect and acceptable sacrifice for sin and 2) Being fully man, He is able to die on our behalf.
