Richard Sherman Out For Weeks

November 16th, 2021

Cornerback Richard Sherman.

In news that is not news, there is more information on the status of veteran Bucs cornerback Richard Sherman.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reports Sherman suffered a “grade 2 calf strain” that will put him out of commission for “weeks.”

This basically confirms the hunch that Bucs Super Bowl-winning coach Bucco Bruce Arians shared yesterday. Sherman suffered the injury warming up prior to the Bucs’ loss to WTF Sunday.

My brain suffers a grade 2 strain at the idea that this guy can’t even warm up without hurting himself.

  2. Im not tired anymore we Super Bowl Champs!! Says:

Sherman is a waste of a roster spot at this point. Can’t even get on the field. Oh well…

  3. August 1976 Buc Says:

I hope that RS can somehow contribute to the team. He has had a very good career, but he is at the point of his career his body is physically betraying him, and so far he can not be counted on to get on the field and play.
Who can they sign at this point of the season? Not much available.

BTW, whatever happens, keep RS around for the season, even as a reluctant Coach, the dude is a walking encyclopedia for the Defensive Backs to learn from.

    GO BUCS!!!!

He should just coach the Tv’s. They had a solid game when Stern was assisting with coaching. Think his playing days are behind him.

  5. Rayjay1122 Says:

DB’s not Tv’s. Love auto correct.

  6. Bird Says:

[That is not very nice, especially for a guy that will be in the Hall of Fame. Fairly certain Sherman doesn’t want to be hurt. — Joe]

Personally I have so much more respect for RS now than when he was an opponent. As an opponent he was so good, brash, intelligent and effective. I didn’t care for him because he was an opponent which was stupid by me. The guy comes from not playing and being in coast mode to joining the Bucs and stepping into a s&$t show and performs pretty dang well in three games over twelve games until the hammy failed. He filled a hole that was vast. On top of that once injured due to his crazy ability to grasp the defense he was able to somewhat assist the defense through a coaching role to still contribute. To me WOW! What a teammate. Yes he sustained an injury during warm ups which was probably due to compensations from the previous injury and for any body diss him for desire or availability is ridiculous!

I had a feeling that he was toast after that catch n run vs the Dolphins 🐬😳😐

  11. Rod Munch Says:

I just assumed he didn’t play on Sunday because he’s not any good, it didn’t even occur to me that he was supposed to have played.

  12. Bird Says:

    Are you serious joes ?

    It was a joke
Joe goodell i guess …joespn. Hey Comrade …got it – no bad lady part words. 😂

Go back into archives I was one of first pushing for sherman
And it clearly didnt work out 😂

    Bird:

You have to understand who reads this site and how that would come off for Joe since he has to deal with certain folks. There is a guy over at One Buc, for example, who used to hammer Joe firing off texts all hours of the morning and night about comments — and they didn’t go where you went.

  14. Bird Says:

I hear yah. It was pg13 at worst though

  15. August 1976 Buc Says:

There you go Bird, there is a Paul Harvey in this, ” and now for the rest of the Story” lol

Let him coach the DBs in the golf cart

A wise man once said that bad signings have consequences; he also said the Bucs were one huge bad signing.

    Something’s never change

    Peace, out

  19. Bucsfanman Says:

The best ability is availability. Shame. I was hoping he could contribute until we get healthy.

  20. Allbuccedup Says:

Wasted signing. Bowles says its worth it because of his help in coaching. Right the defense has improved since hes been here! NOT!

  21. LVMYBUCS Says:

    Waste of money

  22. John Sinclear Says:

Might be some “recycled” AAF corners out there!
